    Love my D750! Is a workhorse with my nifty 50mm and 24-70mm zoom lenses! Thanks for this video!

    I bought a D750 a little over a year ago and love it. Occasionally I look to see what new reviews have been done since I did my research and made my purchasing decision, and I have to say that this is one of the best reviews I've seen (and I've seen a lot). I know this review is nearly a year old at this point and I'm not sure why I haven't watched it until now - but I'm glad I did and I just wanted to say that you hit the nail on the head in describing this camera. I've been very pleased with it.

    As an owner of the D750 I can tell you I pretty much agree with everything you said.
    Anybody that buy this camera and expecting a rocket ship will not find it here, the D750 is a general use camera!!!
    It does everything so good that its just a joy to use it practically in any scenario, sports, macro, portrait, low light.
    This should be a perfect package for many people.
    One thing you didn't talk about is its video functions, this camera has a specialized menu just for video and it offers a lot for those who want a video camera too.

    You've sold me on the D750 with its D810 capabilities,focusing and low light pluses. I already love my D610 but want a second full frame body. Thanks. Keep up the good reviews.Thanks

      +TheSnapChick I am pretty sure I will purchase the D750 next year and sell my old trusty D800 since the D810 is only a half step up as my photo pusher said after he also got the D750!

    I have the D750 with it's 24-120 f4 kit lens, and i couldn't agree with you more!
    i was on a tight budget so couldn't get the 24-70 f2.8 but even with the kit lens this body delivers extremely sharp images. This 24 megapixel sensor does wonders in low light as well

    I knew pretty much everything about this camera before watching the video, but still found personal insights very valuable. I particularly like that you addressed the "issues" that some people blow way out of proportion. Bottom line, the D750 is a great camera. I'm currently shooting EOS 5D-III but if I were shooting Nikon (with US pricing) the D750 would no doubt be my body of choice.

  • @MrRoyGS

    The D750 is like the D7100 in FX, with a tilt screen. What sets this camera apart from the other Nikon DSLR lineup except the D4s is its low light focusing and ISO range. On a personal note, I sold my awesome D7100 to purchase the D750, it has all that I need without having to go to the 36mp D810.

    • @genegustafson715
      @genegustafson715 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The 7100 has been and is a great body....I will keep and use it for back up to my 750.

    • @tamito9298
      @tamito9298 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I done the same :-))
      I had sold my D7100 and bought the D750. .
      Then i bought D7200 as well.
      So now i have two cameras D7200 and D750 and use D7200 whereever i shoot because D7200 has higher dynamic range then D750 and D7200 had professional 1/8000 shutter speed but D750 is just amateur 1/4000.
      D750 is for sale now.

    Just picked up my first DSLR, and decided on the Nikon D750 from the many positive reviews. I do have to build a collection of lenses, thus started with a couple of inexpensive Sigma, but will eventually get a 14 - 24 f2:8 VR & 70 - 300 VR as well, so thanks for your input on this Snapchick, it was quite helpful.

    Thank you for this review. It helped me very much. I purchased this camera only some weeks ago. My opinion: I think the D750 is the best bang for the bug. Picture quality is outstanding and will be good enough for years to come. It is a professional camera. But more over it looks like one because of its shape. Though it's not too big, it looks bigger than present mirrorless cameras. You can't overestimate the importance of the impression you give when you're with a customer.

    Went backpacking a couple times in the mountains and a few in the desert, I was so glad I bought the D600 and not the 800 due to weight! The 750 will soon replace my 600 and I am really happy Nikon still gives the FX compact size as an option!

    I have been reviewing this camera for like 6months now and I am totally convinced... wondering if the problematic cameras are all now gone from the shelves and if I purchase now it would be a great buy... I think they should be good by now. They took them all off the store shelves as soon as they found out about the issue. If you buy from an authorized dealer, I'm sure you'll be okay. I'm having the same problem, so I've been looking a lot into it.

    Thank you so much for the video. I’m planning to purchase my very first DSLR which is Nikon D750 along with 85mm 1.8 + 50mm 1.8 G lens. I’m wondering is it still worth to buy this camera considering 5 years old?.
    Purpose of buying a camera is for taking Portraits, Still, Landscape, Bird, Product photography (learning) and of course my kids.
    It would be really great if you throw some lights on my concern to make a wise decision.... other options I have considered is Nikon D780 with one of the lens and Z6ii with the kit lens... apart from D780 and Z6ii I have been suggesting to go with D850 with the kit lens.
    Thank you and looking forward to your recommendation.

    If you guys ever handle many Nikon DSLR before, you will not say the feels of the body (especially grip) was exactly like D610. The D750 has the most comfortable grip of any DSLR in Nikon line up. Only a few photographers who review D750 thoroughly will say this during their review. Never underestimate how important the handling of a camera. I never thought it was so comfortable and different compared to other Nikon bodies until I handled one. And now the proud owner of it after lots of studying of numerous options.

    pretty assertive review!
    you're very fluid in your speech/text. You put out a lot of words per min, but the speech doesn't sound like too many words crammed into a sentence.
    I've seen a couple of your videos before, and they're pretty solid. Congrats.
    This video is almost 3 years old. What do you think about getting a D750 now.
    I starting to get some event gigs, and some in house portrait clients. I've been using a D7000 since it came out, and the Fuji Xt-20, as well.
    Right now the D750 is 1200€ on the grey market stores .. so i was thinking of getting it with the Tamron 70-200 G2.
    What do you (and everyone here) reckon ?
    thanks very much
    PS: I shoot a lot of low light and i need speedy AF as well . i mostly use the 35 , 60(macro) and the 85 AF-D lenses on my Nikon.
    PS2: i've tried it at a store, next to a D500, and i found the d500 to be too big.
    Should i wait for the d750 upgrade and stay with my current lens line-up.. or should i just go with the d750 + tamron combo??

    Very well done review Leigh, I think you nailed the idea of the 750. Its unfortunate that they had the "light" issue, im curios to see how consumers will respond once its back on the shelves. I played with one the other day, thinking about getting a 2nd body, and even tho the camera feels great in my hands and I just dont know if i like the button layout. Im too use to the pro setups. I mean when/if switching bodies through mid shoots i dont like the idea of changing too much, i just want to continue on without any annoyances. Yes yes yes... Im really Nitpicking at this point LOL

    Nice job Snap, if I can call you by your first name. I had bought the 750 last November, did not have the flare problem, but sent the body in because my serial number fell into the recall range. Got it back in brand new condition (they replaced stuff and cleaned the camera inside and out). I agree with your review and do believe your positioning of the camera. Told another way, the 750 is the best ***all around*** features FX Nikon DLSR in the family of D4S, D810/800 and D750. Another shortcoming, and you and your readers decide, is the shutter limit of 1/4000 sec. I thought back and realized that I never used 1/8000. If I needed the darkening of the aperture that much, I used a filter. My purchase history is the D70, the D300 which I have and use-a REAL workhorse with its vertical battery grip. It's my backup and since I used it for quite a long time, the difference in controls doesn't bother me (but I have noticed it when I haven't shot for a week or more).

  • @agoniavr

    I'm in the market to get my first full frame body and I wanted the D610. Then, I discovered an offer for which I could get the D750(which is better overall right?) for the same price new...one thing I fear is that the D610 is a replacement for the D600 problems, but there's no replacement to the D750 flare issue and when you say they fix it, they take it off the shelves and/or they give you the "new fix camera"(the D610 was given to some customers if their D600 kept having oil and dust problems on the sensor more than once) is a dream here.
    You're lucky if you get something with official Nikon Italy warranty or they may turn their shoulders to you(direct experience from some friends). That being said I have two question for you/veryone:
    1 - how come Nikon releases these bodies with all these problems and they keep stop selling them or replace them?
    2 - is there a way to tell if your D750 suffers that issue(or are there others specific to the model)?
    It would be my first recent DSLR(I'm shooting with a super old Canon 20D, entry level pro at the time but it was over 12 years ago) and I'm not THAT good to know and spot all the problems...but I don't wanna realize they're there when I'll get better and it'll be out of warranty.

    • @lylestavast7652
      @lylestavast7652 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a marking placed in the tripod socket for D750's which had fixes applied early on. Newer runs never had the problem. I have one, it's fine. Have owned since 5/2017. I think you'd be in good shape with a D750 all things considered. (italy warranty issues of course I have no idea about).

    Was with D750 and changed it on D7200 due to higher dynamic range and consequently better final pictures
    Moreover D7200 has professional shutter speed 1/8000 but D750 like an amateur camera is 1/4000 one
    But D7200 is newer camera so its naturally it has much better specifications

    I just bought myself the Nikon D750 and I am still getting used to it . I stepped up from the D5200. One thing that I am missing is the different options of the LCD info screen. I have looked at quite a few different tutorials but no one seems to mention anything about it. Some chat groups have expressed that this issue about the LCD info is a mess. Does the D750 have LCD info options or do I now have to persevere with what I just bought?

      I did try one in a camera shop but couldn't figure how to change the focus point - thought it was in the menu (I own a D700 it has a button at the back) then realised from a video its at the front. Its a very light camera - it feels cheap because of this - but I think that's because my D700 is all metal.

    I'm upgrading from D5100 to full frame, i'm a photographer but at the same time, a videographer also. Which full frame do you think would suffice my needs in terms of photo and video. I already have listed 2 fx Nikons that i've been picking on and I don't know where should I go between them, D750 and D810. I need your help, please.

    While I agree with most of your review, been an owner of a D750 and a Df, the only thing I would disagree is that I personally feel the Nikon Df is higher up in the food chain than the D750, I think the Df is a more mature camera and is better laid out than the clumsy D750, despite not autofocusing as well as the D750, I still believe the Df is a much better camera...un disputable sensor on the Df.. My thoughts..

    • @LeighAndRaymond
      @LeighAndRaymond  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a close call. If the Df had the D800/D810 Autofocus, it would be tough to beat, and I'd probably own one. Df/D600/D610 autofocus is frustrating.

    OMG! Your are so pretty that I forgot why I was viewing this video. I can watch you all day. And oh yeah, the information rocks! Clear, inciteful, and to the point. I am really leaning towards this camera. One thing, can the iso be remapped for one hand operation? I shoot manual with manual flash. Thanks SnapChick.

    Just like my D610 only with a flip out screen, auto focus that works, less moire, wi-fi & better quality 60 fps video. I really don't need 4k anyway, it'd just slow my laptop down and I prefer having lots of dedicated buttons rather than digging through menus.

    its the best dslr camera ever made. thats what I think of it. that and the 5d mark 3. there may be more advanced cameras for landscape and studio work, however as an all a rounder, these two cameras cannot be touched. they can do it all.

    Well presented review of D750.
    What are the best possible lens for landscape and macro for D750?
    It is supplied withD750 24-120mm VR Lens Kit.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

      +Adnan Kakazai I don't know if you bought it yet but what are you shooting usually? I generally tend not to like kit lenses, they feel they're made for people who don't know what they want to shoot...at least to me, I usually spare that money and get a better lens to start with. In these days I'm about to move to the D610 or D750 and I do portraiture, so I'll get the 50mm 1.4 ART by Sigma :) I would have no use to get cheapo kit lenses, if you want to get a bit of zoom and something more all around the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 is a super solid choice! :)

    Quick question - When shooting the Nikon D750 or any full frame for that matter and if I put it in "DX mode" will it use all 24 megapixels for that cropped shot or does it take a full frame shot and just spit out an actual cropped image, resulting in much less megapixels for each image?

    • @LeighAndRaymond
      @LeighAndRaymond  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In cropped sensor mode, a full frame camera uses only a portion of the sensor. :)

    Hi there, I'm currently selling my canon 70D because I'm not happy with my pictures the way they're coming out my best friend has a Nikon not sure which series but the pictures come out flawless so I'm debating to get whether D750 or D7200 the D750 has full frame sensor and d7200 has crop sensor I don't know much about cameras just curious what that means? I meet celebrities and I take tons of pictures with whomever I meet and I want my pictures to come out amazing like my best friends camera the video is good sure I don't really care for it cuz I don't work for tmz and I don't really record much but I'm more of a picture person and I care very much of the quality my pictures are coming out so if you have any good advice to give me I would really appreciate it thank you!

    Hi Snapchick, quick question for you please. Does the D750 have a build
    in "Interval timer shooting" option?? and also can I use my DX lenses on the D750 to get the full frame size in the images?
    cheers
    rob

    • @HaiwafaHolmes
      @HaiwafaHolmes 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Robert G. The 750 does have the built in interval timer option. In regards to the DX lenses, when using a a DX lens on the 750 or any FX for that matter it will go into a DX crop mode thus losing the effect of the full frame.

      +TheSnapChick thanks for the instant response actually i don't have any camera but i used for phtoshoot and for video cannon 1200 and nikon d3200 and d810 ..
      and also tell about what is fx & amd dx body and which one is good
      Thnaks

    • @LeighAndRaymond
      @LeighAndRaymond  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ANAND aadi The D750 is a bit faster, but the D810 has more resolution and a few more options. The control scheme for the D750 is more like the D7000 series and the D600 series. The D810 controls are more like the D4s and other pro Nikon bodies. DX cameras have a smaller sensor, and there is no current DX body that has the good autofocus performance of the D750 and D810. There's no one right camera, but I can say that I chose the D810 and I'm very happy with it.
