15 ounces of drawbar pull is insane. That's 1 ounce shy of 1 pound of drawbar pull. That's O gauge levels of pulling power. Pretty Impressive. That whistle sounds great too.

Heavyweights are the key to give you the feel of the 1937 and 38. Beautiful model.

Those cut outs under the cab windows are for the crews feet so when they need to go from the running boards to the cab

That should be able to pull your entire passenger car fleet at the same time, James!

Beautiful model! I don't model HO or steam, but this is really well done...

That red light on the rear of the tender is not an emergency light it's actually a marker light. Until April 1, 1956 Santa Fe rule 18(A) stated that "by night a detached road engine when in yard limits under conditions not requiring the display of markers must display a red light on the rear of tender or unit."

My Blue Goose did over a pound. Crazy pulling power, I’ve never seen that many OZ on my gauge. LOL. Love this Blue Goose. I have about five hours on it and it’s running perfect. Thanks for the video.

Now I want to buy one. I’m sure that was the reason behind the video. LOL
    Thanks for the great video.

I had one on pre-order but ended up cancelling it. I just couldn't justify the cost at this time. Though I am already beginning to regret not getting one. Thanks for the great video James. One other note, for that price the marker lights should be operational and not just prism. Certainly not a deal breaker but just my humble opinion.

Thanks for another excellent video! Likewise for the UP Brass Coal Turbine! It's hard to believe that this model has ~ twice the pulling power of the Coal Turbine! Isn't this the record for tractive effort?
Just out of curiosity... how many pairs of traction tires does this model have (or can it have, for that matter... meaning up to 3 in this case)? Has this ever come up with any other review of yours, James...with BLI or any other manufacturer in HO scale? I know that in O-scale over on Eric's Trains... some of the O-scale locomotives (by Lionel, I believe) have huge numbers of traction tires which Eric to his credit...is very thorough in pointing out!

Great model but way too expensive

As apposed to what? The competetion to this model (Hallmark Super Crown) cost around 2000 dollars.

For some reason, F-20 isn't working for my tender light. Something else: F-18 is a totally different function according sto the owners manual. I never would have known had I not watched your review. Everything else works, though.

there should be an addendum sheet in your box, with the other functions

Beautiful locomotive! However, as far as streamliners are concerned, nothing can beat the Dreyfus Hudson!

For that price those roof vents on the cab should be functional.

its probably the brass that is preventing that feature from being present. They do it on their plastic/diecast models all the time. I doubt it was a cost cutting measure.

    • @UPES2018
      @UPES2018 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@jlwii2000 Make that piece out of a different material then… It is a hybrid model. The S-2 they made has the same issue.
