thanks Hallows, sorry my last reply didn't make much sense - for some reason my comments have been applying to the incorrect posts but I am glad you found this vid helpful. I'll keep doing my best to making more guides!
2:45 the way you perfectly timed the audio talking about getting shot in the body, with the matching gameplay looking down at the body shot was absolutely incredible!!
Also note that the brown zweihander skeleton can do a three attack combo. First two can be dodged with the duck and look up/down described in this video, but third attack is a low sweep that you have to jump over.
As of wipe #3 (March 2024) the Skeleton Axeman and Skeleton Spearman have had their animations adjusted to you may now reliable dodge the side swipe by ducking and moving to the right. For the Axeman, since the swipe is at an angle, another option is to jump-crouch to the left to dodge!
Awesome video, would love to see a guide on different techniques for getting over floor spikes consistently. And a video on killing the different bosses. Have been able to cheese the wraith and skeleton champ on the stairs lately, but I assume they will patch it eventually
thank you i learned some of the dodges myself in the meantime because i wanted to just weave everything but thank you for making this video i struggled on some of the axes and spear overheads
I've literally been looking up PvE dodging guide yesterday and now it just popped on my recommended. Great guides out there so far I've been up to date with all of them. Keep up the good work!
This was very useful. I have a friend who is learning the game and some of the dodging has frustrated him. I think this will help! Thanks a bunch man and I expect to see you grow a lot. You have a lot of quality content despite low subs.
Always struggled mainly with the axe skeletons, thanks for sharing! Would love to see more PvE guides for the other challenging mobs like the hell bat/gargoyle things. Dogs in hell I usually cheese by using a door and hitting their head as it sticks through
well holy shit. You're the fuckin' GOAT, fren. I had absolute no idea about this duck strat working if you look all the ways up or down. I'd been trying to duck and always just get hit anyway, but I hadn't been doing that. This is actually so valuable lmao wtf. 5 Playtests and 30+ total character levels in the current game and I never realized this.
It also works in PVP and gives some insane style points. Nothing more satisfying than matrix ducking a zweihander, until they angle their swing down and kill you anyway :(
hahaha, i love the Morpheus/back bending trick; it'd be great if the 3rd person animation looked intentionally wonky for comedic effect or full Matrix style...though that might find too many people requesting a slow time spell.. xD
BROOOOOO! THANK YOU! LIKED AND SUBBED! Sorry for shouting with caps lol. Please keep making videos! You have a really good flow in your instructions and a great voice for it. You da man.
You should show how to dodge the centaur, a lot of people are struggling with him but you can just sidestep on the left the overhead, and crouch and look down for the side swing. Fairly easy.
Dark and Darker combat systems aren't as mechanically in depth as Mordhau so it is more about positioning and above all team composition. That being said I think your skills will still carry over greatly and give a noticeable advantage over someone who is unfamiliar with first person melee combat!
Great vid! Though could have used examples of dodging attacks while attacking against enemies that require distance to dodge. Normal bow skelly ALWAYS lands a hit on me as Wizard if I'm in a situation where I can't use cover and need to melee.
This will seem super dumb. But in a lot of games the strafe buttons are Q and E as they are next to the W for forward. So when you say strafe is this an actual specific key or are just using A and D with forward or backward movement? Really appreciate the video and sorry for the question 😂😮
Nice video. Woulda been nice to see examples of you killing some of these guys using these maneuvers instead of just with your max move speed. Thanks again.
thanks man, i wanted and learn the dodges on my own but its kinda hard when the punishment for fucking up is being sent back to the lobby and having to get into another match.
This is super helpful, my one gripe I have is for the bow/crossbow skeletons. I have an easy time dodging them at medium/long range, but actually killing them gives me consistent trouble. As far as I've been able to tell every class with starting greys, or whites cannot kill them before they get off at least one shot at point blank range even with all head hits. How do you dodge/disengage them after getting a few hits in? Ducking seems the best option, but has yet to prove consistent, maybe I just need to add camera angle to it as well?
If you are a class with slow attack like barbarian i really recommend to buy a 1 hand weapon or a lighter axe in your secondary like a felling axe to kill the archers.
the black version of skellys usually have 1 extra attack in their combos. the zwei skelly has a low attack that needs to be jumped, the swordsman have a downward chop you can still easily back step it, and i havnt seen a black axeman yet.
I sw this and was like this was a smart idea you should do a guide on the wraith, skele champ, drmon dog, demon berzerker, etc. Have like level 1 and level 2 monsters 😂 it would be PREMO
I dont understand what I'm doing different with the axe man but the horizontal swing hits me every time, are you sure its the exact same dodge for both moves?
just tested and it is still working but might need a set movespeed - I'll do some more testing later in plate, looks like it can also be crouch (with head down) ducked
hey, huge thing you should update to this, the skeleton speaerman's swipe can easily just be crouchducked. this makes it so you should NOT recommend a melee just eat the hit.. otherwise good video.
Dude, you're seriously gonna go somewhere making these guides, they're extremely useful.
100% agreee, I told my friends about this video because I’m always annoyed by unnecessary damage
thanks Hallows, sorry my last reply didn't make much sense - for some reason my comments have been applying to the incorrect posts but I am glad you found this vid helpful. I'll keep doing my best to making more guides!
2:45 the way you perfectly timed the audio talking about getting shot in the body, with the matching gameplay looking down at the body shot was absolutely incredible!!
This guy has a future in gaming for sure. 💯
thank you banana! I'm glad you enjoyed it, you have a great eye for detail
Footman/Guardsman - 0:19
Swordman (Zwei) - 0:46
Axeman - 1:13
Spearman - 1:42
Bowman - 2:20
Crossbowman - 2:51
Also note that the brown zweihander skeleton can do a three attack combo. First two can be dodged with the duck and look up/down described in this video, but third attack is a low sweep that you have to jump over.

This is really good to know. I had to scroll quite a bit before I saw this comment though, you may want to consider pinning it.
Awesome video, would love to see a guide on different techniques for getting over floor spikes consistently. And a video on killing the different bosses. Have been able to cheese the wraith and skeleton champ on the stairs lately, but I assume they will patch it eventually
Commenting for engagement. Excellent guide. Quick to the point format with helpful insights and demonstration. Looking forward to more!
thanks loremaster!
thank you i learned some of the dodges myself in the meantime because i wanted to just weave everything but thank you for making this video i struggled on some of the axes and spear overheads
For all my fellow plate wearers please remember greysay be so slow that you can't reliably dodge by strafing
These are the type of guides we need! thank you.
i love how straightforward and easy to follow this guide was-- thanks!
Super chill BGM while a clear and concise explanation.
Thank you! I just started playing two days ago, but this has helped me immensely everywhere except goblin caves. Much appreciated
I've literally been looking up PvE dodging guide yesterday and now it just popped on my recommended. Great guides out there so far I've been up to date with all of them. Keep up the good work!
First useful video I’ve found. Most are just clickbait “15 things I wish I knew…” junk content. Thank you, you earned a new sub
Ryan coming out with another BANGER as always!
We making it out the dungeon with this one boys 🔥🔥🔥
haha thanks veggie, hope your loot has been juicy!
best to the point guides. Love the vids and keep up the great work
Bro keeping making these guides, you got the abilities of a top tier youtuber man. Appreciate the help 🙏
thank you for the zweihander tips that makes it so much easier
1:55 i believe you can just crouch and look down to dodge the wide swing
Wow, this was actually super helpful! Thanks mate!
The horizontal attack of the skeleton axe man can also be dodged by crouching and looking up or down
iirc the crossbowman likes to grunt right before each shot
This was very useful. I have a friend who is learning the game and some of the dodging has frustrated him. I think this will help! Thanks a bunch man and I expect to see you grow a lot. You have a lot of quality content despite low subs.
For the Spearman, you can also just crouch under the horizontal swing rather than hard strafe left
Phenomenal tips, it would have taken ages to figure some of these out the hard way. Cheers man!
thanks wulfrim! took a lot of deaths but definitely worth it haha
This has to be the best dark and darker guide so far
I needed this for the newest mobs. Nice chill video, youre like Steve Irwin handle dangerous crocs out there
in steve we trust
Thanks, i had most of the skeletons figured out except that pesky axe sideswing, but i think ill get it now!
You can also duck the horizontal swing if by crouching and looking up or down
Sweet, simple, to the point. Good stuff bud. Ya gots a sub from me. Keep it up
Always struggled mainly with the axe skeletons, thanks for sharing! Would love to see more PvE guides for the other challenging mobs like the hell bat/gargoyle things. Dogs in hell I usually cheese by using a door and hitting their head as it sticks through

thanks homie, been crying to those pole arms and crossbowman.

thanks Theo, best of luck to your friend and I hope you both have some awesome adventures!
for some reason my replies are getting shuffled haha, but thank you MrChris - idk why it gave you my response to Theo lmao
@@ryan6daysaweek no worries! You are a real one man!
Great Conent Man! A Guide on how to dodge/clear Inferno mobs would be great
I'd do this for every enemy you possibly can and it will be the single most useful guide for beginners. 😊
This guide is super helpful thank you very much
Super awesome guide, thank you.
Would love one of these for all the enemies. Especially some hell enemies like dogs and demon bats
thansk dude, those axe and spear sweeps are annoying this gives me some kinda option at least!
this is huge. the axeman & the bow skele were the worst for me.
thanks for clearing that up
From Black shark to Samsung, all reviews pointed in the path of Gocartopia and boy was it worth!
Dude the skeletons are harder than the bosses lmao
super cool guide! can you do more tips for things like wraith or hell monsters?
Awesome video man! How do you do your thumbnails?
me: i am already good at dealing with skeletons
me after this video: i knew nothing, but now everything
cant wait to see a "how to dodge" for every enemy
Nothing is more satisfying that narrowly slipping the attacks of enemies, npcs or players!
Nice work my dude, also nice thumbnail. Deserves a sub
ty ricardo, love your vids
You should show how to dodge the centaur, a lot of people are struggling with him but you can just sidestep on the left the overhead, and crouch and look down for the side swing. Fairly easy.
wonderful guide as always but damn those axe skeletons still get me here and there, can never get a break with those guys 😅
great guide and all in all a clean channale nice fine line u pull threw all of ur videos !
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much!
Great video idea. For future, it would be cool too see these techniques being used in gameplay of you also killing them!
That was the least bullshit ever in a guide video. Thank you.
I'm a mordhau comp player, how much do you reckon my skill would carry over to dark and darker? and is there anything I should be wary of
Dark and Darker combat systems aren't as mechanically in depth as Mordhau so it is more about positioning and above all team composition. That being said I think your skills will still carry over greatly and give a noticeable advantage over someone who is unfamiliar with first person melee combat!
@@ryan6daysaweek ty I love the dungeon mod on mordhau which is inspired by dark and darker, definitely going to get it 👍

my apologies for the confusion Brian, I mean the A and D keys!
@@ryan6daysaweek thank you!
I havnt watched this yet but, YOOOOOOOO!!!! Youre a legend
Red skeletons?
I need a goblin caves version of this.
Savior of the DAD Community!
Subscribed so I can be here for when you talk about the nightmare skellys lol
haha will do, I'll start getting to it
awesome guide thank you
Thank you! sick guide and quick to the point, too
Thank you, very good presentation for very helpful information. But what about the damn dragonflies? Do you have tips for those damn hell spawns :(
Nice video. Woulda been nice to see examples of you killing some of these guys using these maneuvers instead of just with your max move speed. Thanks again.
Wow, this is super useful. Thanks!
really helpful, do you know or could you show us a video on the skeleton champion or wraith ?
This was super helpful, thank you!
Sidestep left and EWGF the axeman, gotcha
Note that you can also duck the sideway swipe of the spearman
finally the truth come out
does spear skelly overhead is broken?
hi, good video, skelton archer tricks pls ? i didnt really find advices there unless to not crouch
Can you make one for goblin caves?
are you considering doing a magic damage video? great video!
thanks man, i wanted and learn the dodges on my own but its kinda hard when the punishment for fucking up is being sent back to the lobby and having to get into another match.
Great video man!
03:15 "What is he doing?"
"He's beginning to believe"
lmao
Love the Neo dodge for crossbow

Great video straight to the point and useful
Your a god for this. Subbed.
LETS GOOOOOOOO I needed this I can dose axe and spear skeletons with double jump as a rogue but the once in a while where I get hit is so frustrating.
yo stateofmissouri! hope you got a long gaming in session in to make up for the first few days haha
this guy go matrix on DaD. Thanks you it will be helpful especially for the Barbarian
If you are a class with slow attack like barbarian i really recommend to buy a 1 hand weapon or a lighter axe in your secondary like a felling axe to kill the archers.
For those tuning into this guide currently, the Zweihander skeleton now also has a forward stab that can be sidestepped to the right.
yes, I hope you can make the 2nd and 3rd-floor mob tips too. thx dude
will do!
the black version of skellys usually have 1 extra attack in their combos. the zwei skelly has a low attack that needs to be jumped, the swordsman have a downward chop you can still easily back step it, and i havnt seen a black axeman yet.

discord sent me... bravo mate very cool this will help thank you...
Missed opportunity of having Bryan1DayAWeek as a gamertag. Great video tho
lmao good call FiT, I'll have to grab that when the next char slots come out haha

you should do hell mobs next, would be nice
Good guide for beginners, now make one for every mob including Centaur :D
will get working on that right away, sin!
I have been waiting for one of these
great video bro. Goblins pls ?
