I wont lie, your old zero to hero (with commentary) series really helped out on understanding the playstyle of rogue and how to out-play hard fights, alot of new players may benefit from it more than you think as it covers alot of bases. That and I guess I just miss those from you!
Thanks. I've not been liking the rogue guides (or lack thereof) I've seen for the re-release. You present the info in a very clear way without any timewasting, and you obviously prepared well for it.
ive always played only rogue because of how unique the class is and how many playstyles one can play with, people easily underestimate fighting a rogue until they get 8 throwing knives in them and start running away. thanks for the video as now you made me understand how to build my rogue better and hopefully be able to win more fights in the future.
I finally decided after days oh hestitation to make rogue my main for this wipe, searched a recent guide to refresh how to gear him, litteraly a Repoze guide posted 30mn ago. So thanks Repoze to make it especially for me 🤣
The most important part of a rogue build is unresolved childhood trauma and a willingness to both inflict and sustain incredible amounts of pain. also indigo roger has been coming over for sleepovers a lot but mom says I don’t have to call him dad if I don’t want to.
super well made video. Lots of good information in here. Had no idea about the max health rolls on neck/chest/legs. shit like that can make or break a fight. thank you so much for taking time to make this video for the noobs like me :P

i think back attacks main benefit is it prots on throwing knives and hand crossbow so nice for chase down on fast locks and other rogues but thats really its only upside imo
Was always rogue went fighter when it was nerfed into the ground but with the recent buff i never felt scarier as a rogue tbh. I make it out of pretty much every raid and fight with maybe 1-2 hits on me its so good
A poisoned ruptured hand cross bow bolt does about 31 damage in one shot with no negative magic or physical power, and thats assuming the enemies have 60% magical and ohysical resistance.
Amazing video! I've played a few of the playtests, but I'm still not that good. Since I have Legendary Status, I wanted to check out classes to see if anything is worth it, since I'd say I'm really good as a Bard or Druid. Thank you for making this video, the built will definitely help me out in trying to survive in matches.
Isnt additional phy dmage more important if you have dual dagger since you already phypen? + Skill/perk phypen. You will literally kill every fighter barb if you get to land the first 3 attack. Dual wield attack speed. Before he can attack you can hit them for like 3-5 attacks before they land the first attack.
I'm in love with druid, simply for the rat jumps and panther chicken combo but rogue I had my eye on for a while now this video is the perfect reason to lvl my rogue tomorrow 😎
Remember kids: you can build a rogue all you want. You will NEVER stat-check any other class in the game (unless they are wizard, the dead class no one plays.) You need to be perfect at the setup. Turn lights out. Creep is the most important perk you have that no other class has. You can literally follow someone without them knowing. Wait to attack when they are on top of you. Sometimes they will be inside a chest, or fighting a mob. You need to use these chances as an opportunity. Rogue is BAD without the element of surprise. You WILL die in 2-4 melee hits, since rogue bis kits have 0 hp. If they are expecting the attack, or you fail in the setup, just run away and try again.
Now with the rondel and stiletto 10% armour pen u can get 100% armour penetration. 20% from perk 20% from daggers and 40% from weakpoint is 80% and u can get 20% on armour easily
First of all dagger is 10 not 20 you can’t stack up armor pen from both dagger because it’s a natural line that do not apply to you other weapon, perk still 20 right, weak point isn’t reducing physical damage reduction BUT ARMOR rating that make a huge difference in ur calculation so it’s not even close to 40% phys res reduction or 40% Armor pen It might be around 20% armor pen At maximum against a PDR at 70% u would ignore 35% of his PDR because 50% armor pen dont by pass 50 actual percent but 50% of his total 70% phys rés so a max of 35% 😂😂 we’re not even close to ur « 100% armor pen BUDDY »
im new, lvl 30sh. i use hide/stealth (like u said they just go together) i didn't know rupture worked with range, so thanks for that info. i enjoy tumble, i don't always use it but i do here and there, i don't know all the monsters and sometimes its just nice to be able to back up a lot. a crossbow and rapier are my current choice, i just don't like the range of dagger, so i don't use the dagger perks. rapier/ crossbow has been my most comfortable play style. i like the lockpick and traps but i understand what your saying, i've considered giving it up as well. ill consider poison with rupture on the crossbow now, for 2x effect. i didn't know that was possible so im excited. rogue is the only class i've played that i've found to be the best fit, next to cleric And wizard. but im new, the ranger and the fighter were absolutely uncomfortable for me, the barb was horrible. thats where im at, thanks for the info.
Honorable mention: You actually can stack add damage instead of true damage after recent patch if you have enough armor penetration BECAUSE true damage gives you flat damage that does not scale with your perks or power bonus from strength e.t.c But thats still a matter of taste and build. You should prefer it if you have high phys power, Ambush and Backstab perks.
Thank you for the great guide. Anymore info on your 2nd set of weapons? I'm new so I don't know squat but I've seen people just run Hand Crossbow. Is it just better to dual wield it with a Rapier?
When it comes to eq: Boots: aren't Turnshoe with Move Speed Bonus a viable option? If you get those (that are usually cheap on AH), you sometimes get more MS than with other boots you mentioned. Just wondering.
I was playing this game for 25 hours, trying to "chase" the meta, to be the best. Tried all the classes that people say are S tier like lock, barb, fighter, bard, cleric, druid etc. In all those 25 hrs i had only 2 kills in total across all the classes I tried. I steered clear of rogue because everyone said it's bad, real bad. Be me, see this video decide to try Rogue for the sake of it, 3 kills the very first dungeon. Yeah, you'll say the players were noobs but so am I and didn't suceed to kill anyone on other classes.
The meta is completely different for noobs and good people. Warlock is broken in solos not because you can m1+W everyone but because he has infinite healing, infinite kiting and infinite spells, those things need some skill. Bard requires insane spacing, good aim with bow, knowing when to play a song and what to play. Druid is only broken with good gear and even then you need some brains. Fighter and cleric are not good in solo. On barb you were most likely just scared to m1+W and it's not an S tier class in solo anymore anyway
I feel like ur sleeping on rogue cowl u get a dec one and it has significant agi to offset the ms penalty and they are dirt cheap plus have high armor for if ur going for more of a tanky build and don't have that downside of no headshot reduction
I didn’t quite get it when you talked about the ring that gives strength (18:03). You said it’s better to have 15 or more strength before putting on the ring and then you say you gain more damage out of strength while it’s below 15 than you gain when it exceeds 15. So why is it better to have 15 strength if adding strength is more effective while it’s below 15?
Oh wait I think I misunderstood it. I thought you meant that it’s better to be 15 strength before putting on the ring but it seems you meant that you just better have up to 15 strength in general
Hi, i'm an almost level 80 rogue and changed my loadout so many times that i wasted dozens of thousands of gold just to experiment. Does rogue still have that predator stealth feature where when you move you’re not truly Invisible it’s like camo?

Triple rogue in 3s is BIS
alternatively double rogue and wiz is what we useed last wipe too
