    Hi Chris. 58 yr old wife & mom, here, redheaded and pale/freckles (no surprise what my skin looks like!) . Been watching your vid's for a couple weeks now. I now have a "Chris Gibson" notebook. You've helped me design a regimen I can stick to. I appreciate your expertise, no BS approach and kindly nature. Your video's are informative, not too lengthy, and you break it all down into easy to understand concepts that make sense. So many ladies I watch, it's not that they don't do a nice job but they have all had "work" done, pretty hard to tell what a product does if you get fractal lasering done as a 'treat" a time or two a year or had an eye lift. Anyway, just wanted to tell you what a refreshing delight you are and to thank you for all your help. Blessings to you and yours. Robin in Ks. Namaste.

    For cheap collagen peptides, I make Traditional Chinese bone brother with grass-fed lamb/chicken/beef bones. I add ACV and a few packets of TCM herbal ingredients from the Asian store. They contain ALL THREE peptides (Type 1 & 3 is for bone density etc, Type 2 is only found in chicken bones and is for strengthening ligaments). I make a giant soup pot on the weekends and put it in a jar in the fridge where I add a scoop to all my cooking in the week. Its got lot of healthy fats for collagen, plus ingredients like Chinese mushrooms, ginseng, good berries, licorice root, Astralagus, Pearl barley (Job's Tears), red dates, kelp/fungus/algae...plus vegetables like celery/carrots/etc and Sake/Rice Wine. These are all SENSATIONALLY GOOD for skin health and cancer/fatigue/bone loss/insomnia etc prevention/reversal, longevity, anti-ageing. Takes about 10-12 hours on low heat to make but soooo worth it. I also do a red berries powder shake (blueberries, pomegranate, acai, beetroot, strawberries, dates, Kakadu plum, maqui, wild Golden wattle resin). It is delicious!!

    I would like to share about your comment on collagen peptides. I am in my late 50s and have suffered from arthritis in my fingers for years. Doctors suggested medication. Which I preferred not to use. Instead I look up help on the subject and found collagen peptides. I have been taking then for months now. Within 6 weeks. I woke one morning and could move my hand in and out with no pain. I was so excited, I ran around the house like a crazy person, opening and closing my hand. Can I say that was my better hand. Within, say up to the three month mark. My left hand was on the same track. My friend of 78 has now share on my journey. I almost cried, when I saw within the same few months the difference.
    So I’d like to thank you, for everything you bring to you channel. It helps others more than you know.

    Hey, great info. I'm turning 69 next week and just started a routine. (I am blessed with a youthful gene so didn't really see the necessity until recently.) Passing along a very budget-friendly exfoliation method I got from Carmindy years ago. Use with your regular cleanser, then while still lathered up, put about a teaspoon of white sugar in your hands and rub it all over. Be gentle. Rinse as normal. It's very effective. Your skin will be so smooth, and sugar is a natural humectant. Not so good for the inside, but great for the outside! Try it on other areas too, in the shower. Thanks for your info again.

    I'm surprised he didn't recommend derma rolling. It's a bit painful at first (your skin will get used to it) but works very well for exfoliating and increasing collagen production. When I first started, my skin would peel like crazy around day 3 after rolling. That left the skin underneath looking great.

      As for skin types - a lot of what effects our skin is diet. I was addicted to sugar and that thins the skin , I'm still not perfect but I don't have the issues I used to - in part due to dermaroller and cutting back on sugar .

    Took me decades to realize that I was born with dry skin. It does seem to be sensitive to any retinols as well bc even the mild ones, suddenly I start to 'see' fine lines. Maybe I need to stick with them longer but I dont like seeing them or knowing the retinol is drying my skin out more. Sugar is a demon and carbs as in breads are just different forms of sugar with added chemicals, groan. Love fish myself, even get cravings for it at times and I give in to them, listen to yr body! I'm from South Africa, so we don't get everything here that you have there. Also I only use cruelty free products. I found very good cruelty free products I love for anti aging.
    In the mornings I just rinse my face with luke warm water, follow wit rose water toner, then Vit C and Hyaluronic Acid serums, anti aging day cream, and a sun screen. Every third day I use a Salicyluc Acid, and skip the Vit C.
    Evening, I do a double cleaning with an oil base cleanser, then cream cleaner, then apply 6% niacinamide with 1% Hyaluronic acid and cucumber followed by peptides Cu complex serums and ant aging night cream. Every other night I use 1.5% retinol with niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid serums and a face repair oil then I skip the peptides.
    I also notice my skin does do better with only one or 2 active ingredients at a time. If there is anything I do wrong or could add be be kind to advice.
    I love watching you channel, you are so inspiring because you look great for your age, I still can not believe you 57😱. I always took care off my skin, since my 20's....(no 52), but I have learned so much from you.
    Now I try to get my son into a routine, he is 13, and suffer wither dreaded teenage acne. Got him on retinol, niacinamide and salicylic acid, and can see an improvement 🙏

    I have combination semi sensitive. I have a hard time finding a cleanser that really cleanses. I tried ceraves moisturizing cleanser and to didnt cleanse enough and the oily face wash didnt cleanse well enough. Well I decided to use the am the same time ( a little of each) and it works very well. I double cleanse with it and leave the 2nd wash on for as long as I brush my teeth. It works very well.

    After a car accident the doctor melted the top ten layers of skin off my face. He called it Exodemologis removing the exodermis layers of skin with an acid. Then I was kept sedated for 14 days in recovery while I grew new skin. This was to remove the two scars from a car accident. Since I am fair complexion my skin was splotchy so he removed from hairline to under my chin and from one ear to the other. I don’t remember anything for the 14 days while they kept me sedated with Demerol injections. It was third degree burns but when I came to it no longer hurt. I am also hypoallergenic and cannot have sugar, caffeine or smoke. Also limit starch. Had to wear a complete sun block for two years because I had new skin like a baby. No wrinkles, no spots or discoloration or marks. I had the most beautiful skin I had ever seen. That was 40 years ago so it’s time to some maintenance. Keep the sexy smiles coming with your great informative videos! 😎

    Hi Chris !
    I have a couple questions and just want to say first of all thank you so much. I love and appreciate your videos!!! My first question is didn't I see on one of your videos( I don't want to go through them all it would take me forever) lol ...but didn't you say on one of your videos that after you cleanse your skin on your face you should wait a couple minutes to apply products to let your skin prepare ? And did you say the skin on your body is different you apply moisturizer right away as soon as you get out of the shower unlike your face ? The second question is should you wait a minute or two in between each step of products that you use... Or just slap it all on without waiting . I've had estheticians tell me different things about that. Thanks in advance !!! ❤️

    • @CHRISGIBSONLIVE
      @CHRISGIBSONLIVE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you have this right. A few minutes fir facial skin to normalize before serums and or acids...and, asap for body moisturizers so you can trap as much moisture in the skin. My dermatologists rules.

    • @coredadventure1
      @coredadventure1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CHRISGIBSONLIVE ok great thank you !!! Also, should you wait in between products to apply them so each one soaks in or can you just apply them on top of each other right away ? Thank you Chris 💜

      I’ve worn sunscreen since I was 19; of course, it wasn’t broad spectrum then. I didn’t use moisturizer, though, until I was 60, bc my skin was oily until then! I’m 66 now, and still hope to learn what I can do to look younger, because I know my hair will eventually go gray-and I think gray hair looks gorgeous on people with a youngish face!

      You should try the Instant Filler from Invity. It's needle-less and my face really felt firm after applying it. After a few months of using it every day, my wrinkles and fine lines reduced quite a fair bit.
