The game is so hilariously quirky: i watched my main pawn (a teeny tiny archer girl) go ballistic on an enemy, pinning him to the ground and mercilessly wailing on him with a dagger, and then immediately picks me a flower and runs over and excitedly tells me she's got a gift for me. Fell in love with the game right there.
Just a tip, riding the Griffin is like the actual best way to travel, they actually have routes around the map similarly to oxcarts, you can just stand on ur feet when they start flying and u wont consume any stamina. If you want a quick stop a good hit on the head should suffice to bring it down. But its a one time ride kinda, eventually he goes to the nest and after that I dont think he flies off again. On one of my playthroughs I caught the griffin went directly to the misty forest, went into bathal, got a second one and he passed through the volcanic islands before finally heading back to the nest. So I essentially flew around the entire map in a couple of mins without spending any ferrystones or gold/time on oxcarts. The drawback is that they have certain routines and they are a lot more unrealiable since you dont get a say on where they show up or which places they go to before heading to the nest. But its still one of my most favorite ways to move around the map.
12:16 this is true. On top of keeping track of, at least important npc locations at all times wherever they move on the map, but it also doesn't despawn important people. Their model becomes invisible if you're too far away but they still exist in the game world and are moving around until you give them back their corporeal forms
Reminds me of that AC Brotherhood line rude NPCs will drop "Lightning shall strike thou, while sitting in the shithouse" or somthing. Don't know the eng version. 😂
Great video! I'm 60hrs in on PC and going strong. I love this game, not sure why all the hate exists. Yes it has issues, but god damn it has so much going for it that the positives outweigh the negatives by a mile! Just came in here to say i really enjoy your videos and and give it a like because i don't want the game spoiled for me because i can't afford it yet. But great video if you know i had watched it
I’m still playing the first one. Bought Dark Arisen to platinum before this game and I underestimated how long it would take to do that. I’m not mad though, when it first came out I didn’t give it a real chance and thought it was boring. I’m on my fourth or fifth playthrough in a row now and loving it. Btw favorite goofy pawn name: Gumcuzzler.
Fun fact about the micro transactions: the first game had em too, you could buy an unreasonable amount of rift crystals, and outside of hiring high level pawns and getting glasses, these were absolutely useless and easily obtainable outside of buying them.
@@LeonserGT after a bit more playtime: it actually looks like the dyes aren't even locked behind that store. You can steal them from a few select NPC's, some of the glasses too. So the pool of stuff you can do with your purchased rift crystals seems to shrink the more I learn about the game.
@@LeonserGT not sure about that one, I got the red one from somewhere other than the merchant, but the wiki certainly claimed that only blue and yellow can be stolen so who knows?
I have 30k Rift crystal (on top of 15 art of metamorphosis), and I don’t even expect to have my pawn hired for a very long time now as I changed her vocation to Sorc, and then Thief. So yeah, it’s not even a problem especially if you make a tank or a support pawn.

But i like to see an overreaction to greedy microtransactions, because these greedy coastal elites are always testing the waters, but also i want this game highly rated because i want more games like this
I think it is fair to bring up the greed of publishers/big names in the company, but Capcom isn't testing the waters, they've been doing mtx since the first dragon's dogma. They already knew players would buy their games even with mtx, dragon's dogma 2 I guess would be an example of players not responding enough, but they likely still would have had mtx one way or another. Some of the mtx are one time too. You can only buy a singular port crystal in the store, so at least for that and similar items you drop 2 bucks once and that's all, no buying 999 port crystals and placing one everywhere
They've done it since DMC. Why are people complaining now? And it doesn't affect the gameplay at all. It's not a live service game@@ghoulishgoober3122
To be fair, prices on those microtransactions were almost fair 3 bucks for a portal stone on the early game is kinda fair Most of the other prices were directly expensive for the amount you get in return or just point less, like the prison keys or ferrystones But to be fair they are one time purchases most of the time
"The Arisen has been put to sleep." is prob my fav line from this game. It simply has no quotes on a level of "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong." Or hilarious burns like Juliens "Why am i then talking to a she-goat who is mocked even by her own men?" i'm still laughing
Yeah, but this has one little issue. The ones that fix the games do the devs the favour of finishing their games for them. Meaning: The devs sale a half finished product because they know their fans will finish it for them (but still charge full price for a broken game). It does more harm then it does good
@@truewalter4193 Its more of the publishers selling it, rather than the devs. Mainly because the publishers set dates for it to come out so their financial years look better.

@truewalter4193 this game is not half finished...jfc lol... im over 100 hours in and still on my first playthrough, not even to the true endgame yet, chill lol
