    Forgot to mention this in the video!
    I only wash my hair three times a week OR whenever I use products that can be drying for hair like mousse, hair spray, dry shampoo, etc. I try not to leave those product in my hair any longer than a day because they can make your hair very fragile and brittle. ESP dry shampoo! It is a last resort!

  • @ElleJByrd
    @ElleJByrd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +182

    I’m not sure where my comment went but I just wanted to say the BIGGEST difference I made was letting my hair dry completely before going to bed! I used to just shower and go to bed and didn’t realize THAT’s why my hair didn’t look silky!

    • @majaa5336

      For me it’s the opposite lol my hair looks great and slightly wavy when I go to bed with wet ish hair. When I let it try it during the day it doesn’t look like that

    • @staszewaM
      @staszewaM 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@majaa5336 How about washing your hair earlier, for example few hours before going to sleep and then just before sleeping hopping into the shower for 30s and not touching the hair? You can do that, can't you? Having a quick shower with warm water and then coming back to a cold sleeping room is what helps to ensure you should be able to fall asleep faster, as your body temperature falls quicker which makes you release sleep hormones and naturally put you to sleep :)

    • @Rose-hf5pk
      @Rose-hf5pk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And not sitting in bed or on a sofa with wet hair, the wet hair pressed against the back of the sofa/couch or the wall makes your hair have the same effect as sleeping in it

    I relate so much with the beginning of the video when you say you are very into skincare but haircare is another world that you had to really dive in to find good products. That is a lot of sources for skincare nowadays, but most haircare videos/blogs are usually a scam.

    You have the most gorgeous hair!
    Random hack: If you oil your hair and have a hard time washing it out, try to 'shampoo' your hair with conditioner first and then with shampoo. It made a huge difference for me, it gets the oils out a lot faster and easier! :)

    Your hair always looks beautiful. I think having natural virgin hair is a major reason why your hair looks so good.
    I use olaplex 3 overnight twice a week, olaplex 6 after washing it, and sleep in braids instead of using curling irons or blow dryers, it significantly helped my hair.
    Also do not put typical coconut oil in your hair lol.

    • @bb-bd5ne
      @bb-bd5ne 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yess, having virgin hair is the main way it stays silky and beautiful. I had dyed hair and the quality was not good at all. It took me and big chop and years to grow it super long but now its sooo much healthier and more silky

    i think the weather/climate has a big role of your hair condition. Like for example i live in a tropical country that it's humid most of the time, and most of us having no AC in their house, like we have to do all hair care necessary to keep our hair healthy. But sometimes it's just hard to keep up for most. And from what i have observed is most people do their hair care in a more natural way, like making their own coconut milk/oil, hair masks from fruits available in their kitchen or even in their own backyard.
    btw. you are so gorgeous! and your hair too.

Please do a video on your Hair Growth Journey talking more in depth about the products/routine/which oils that actually helped as someone close to me have been struggling with hair loss too & I've tried researching on different hair growth products but still have no idea which to get her for the longest time with the mixed reviews here & there...& am concerned if any of the oil products would clog her pores or worsened it instead... My hair drinks up every conditioner I use. I usually go through 1.5 bottles of conditioner for every bottle of shampoo with short/medium length hair but now that my hair is growing even longer and thicker im getting closer to using 2 bottles of conditioner for every bottle of shampoo. You are not alone.

    i would highly recommend the innate life rose oil for a serum if you are still looking for one. their shampoos are excellent as well esp. for hair oil days. they are owned by a Indian-Canadian who grew up using the traditional coconut oil baths that indian women have been doing for centuries so her products all have herbs and oils like amla etc that are traditional to the indian culture. Highly recommend them plus they are an indie brand so i love supporting them!

    Question: if you put the oils on your scalp before you wash with shampoo will the oils actually sink into your hair follicles/pores? My scalp can get quite oily after a few days of not washing so that's why I'm wondering :) Thanks so much for the reply

      Never wash out oils with shampoo it not gonna wash everything out, what I do that made a huge difference to my hair you should put mask on hair with oil the wash it with shampoo and then put some not heavy conditioner (sorry if my English is not as good)

    I use sooo much conditioner too and leave it in for as long as I can. I don't know if leaving it in for a long time is actually bad for hair? (if anyone knows, please let me know)

    • @cosmikdeebris

      Cosmetic chemist here, The only way this could be bad is if the conditioner contains a lot of protein, or if your hair starts feeling gummy and holds no shape it could be getting over moisturized. Anywhere from 5-10 minutes is a safe bet for any conditioner, longer if the conditioner is a deep conditioning treatment. It also depends on your hair texture, type and whether or not it's chemically treated. If you hair feels great with what you're doing, there's no harm. Haircare is not only a science but also a personalized artform, as long as it's working keep doing what you're doing! Hope this helps
