    A second hair routine vlog!
So many of you have reached out and asked for the shampoo bar recipe in the previous hair care routine video.
So today I will guide you through the steps of making a shampoo bar completely from scratch.
You can watch the previous hair care routine vlog here:

I could literally never do this because of how much money it would be to make all of this (im not poor but all my money goes towards necessities so I dont have much leftover money) but this seems like literal art to me ! Like the process and the end result, you can just tell how much you love yourself because you spend precious time and effort into improving yourself as best you can. I love this ! I’m also growing out my hair but I have an untreated hormonal imbalance that is currently causing hair loss 💔 so although my hair is growing fast, unless I style it; my scalp is saying hello to the world, I have a schedule for a doctor soon though so hopefully I can get this all figured out

Buying the ingredients might be a bigger investment in the beginning, but they make many batches, and in the long run it is
usually cheaper to make your own shampoo bars, dry shampoo, vinegar "conditioner", etc. than to buy them. You don't need fancy equipment to make soap. I just cook it in a metal bowl over a pot of boiling water, pour it into a suitable container from the kitchen lined with parchment paper, umold, and cut it with a knife. Use the things you already have. If you use kitchen equipment for making the soap, let the equipment sit overnight for the soap residue to cure, and it washes of just like soap.

I too can't afford to make my own soaps and shampoos because the upfront costs of ingredients. I used to live in Vietnam and I miss being able to buy the locust pods and whatnot to make my own shampoo. Something I did learn in Vietnam that I continue to do now is washing my hair with rice water. It's nice because it costs me pretty much nothing extra and it gives my thinning hair just a bit more strength.

It looks so good!! My hair is very long (a little longer than yours and I am a bit tall), but yours is healthier. I switched to some shampoo that I thought would be good for it, but it damaged it. I was using very natural shampoos that included seasalt and such. I also would wash my hair in rice water which I have not done in a long time now. It was really beautiful until I used this other shampoo and then when I got pregnant nearly a year ago, it got worse. I am thinking of trimming it a bit and fixing it back to the way I used to care for my hair. Your hair looks so healthy and I loved the shampoo bars you made. You hear about Lye in all these old stories and how they used it to clean everything long ago and I had never seen it until your video. Lovely!!!

This is so interesting! Thanks for sharing your method. I would like to learn a skill like soapmaking. (I’ve made your flaxseed hair mask already and my hair is currently covered in it 😁) I wondered if locust bean fruit is also called carob? I’m trying to find out where to buy them where I live in Canada.

i enjoy your approach to hair care through holistic methods. ❤ i am also incorporating a few of your tips, they are so helpful! however, some consume lots of time in the kitchen so i try my best to keep things quick and simple.

Awesome video! I have one question, where did you get the spray bottle for the dry shampoo? I've been wanting to make my own but wasn't sure how I would apply it to my hair.

I’ve been using the same recipe for years and apply it using an old makeup brush. I will admit the sprayer has me intrigued too.

Kinda of reminds me of the time when I was a kid and I wanted to make scented candles.
I nearly end up burning the house down but it was fun and adventurous.😅
I don’t have too much hair left but I can dream about the time when I did had thick black hair.
    😢😢😢

Thank you for showing "us" how to make all these haircare products. I am going to go back to the "no poo' method(s). I used to have a soap bar from lush an I really liked it. I know all soap has to be made with lye (drain declogger). I worry or wonder how this is not bad for your hair?
