In my '69 FORD, I had a metal rack on the box, and dropped a canvas tarp over it. I slept in the box, on a plywood floor to avoid the ribs, in a down sleeping bag. Those were the days when you just went, fished, hunted, or just took to the bush for a weekend after work. Ah! Good memories. Getting stuck to the axles was just something we expected once in a while, part of the course.
Thanks for your video- a nice escape from politics right now....brought back memories of camping with my dad in his "67 Ford and 8ft camper, back when you could just go anywhere...without fighting for a "reservation"....
Those were the good times for sure. Times have changed. Luckily most of that hasn't hit all of Utah but it's gotten busier in the outdoors for sure. That's so awesome you have those memories with your Dad! 😁

That brings back memories of 2022 for me. I was out there with my UTV. We fished that lake and I couldn't cast far enough past the weed line. So instead of hashbrowns and trout, I had to make hotdogs and burgers on my Firebox. We sat and enjoyed our friends company and basked in the sun. I remember all the names on the birch trees as we had to get through that mud hole. Thanks for the memories Steve.
