@@rekiyaE for me personally, yes. I had a lot of unhealed trauma. I had both father and mother wounds. My father was emotionally unavailable. My mother has a mental illness. I grew up in an unstable home environment. I had low self esteem. Dealt with a lot of anxiety and depression. So when I finally settled down with this person, it felt so uncomfortable for me. He was nurturing, caring, gentle, and loving. And you would think that it would be easy to accept such a healthy love. But I think I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop because I had never experienced something so consistent and safe.
what’s meant for you won’t stray from you.. maybe that person’s purpose in your life was to act a mirror to inspire you to heal. Your person will come when you’re ready to receive them.

I had all of this in someone, but he wasn’t healed enough from his childhood trauma (foster care system/abandoment) to allow us to continue. After a 22 highly toxic, codependent, loveless marriage/relationship, the guy I dated after was still a breath of fresh air. Rather than be brokenhearted, I see him as a prototype, a reminder that true love is and will be available to me when I’m ready to receive it.

I had all of this in someone, but he wasn’t healed enough from his childhood trauma (foster care system/abandoment) to allow us to continue. After a 22 highly toxic, codependent, loveless marriage/relationship, the guy I dated after was still a breath of fresh air. Rather than be brokenhearted, I see him as a prototype, a reminder that true love is and will be available to me when I’m ready to receive it.

Am so sorry. She can’t teach you so give up on it. Please look for resources on the internet such as this one to learn and even join a class where they teach it. It’s possible to learn. I wasn’t taught either and that has cost me a lot but God is my healer. Stay strong it gets better

I walked from the man I know is my husband on a soul level. Very similar to how Lisa walked from you. He wasn't ready to take marriage seriously, so I respected it and made it clear that we have to go separate ways. I cried with this video, because it reinforced to me why he us my person for all the reasons you listed. He looks at me like I am an angel incarnated. In his presence, my insecurities evaporated. And I really feel that we want to be each other's peace. I hope he finds the wisdom and belief to trust in a higher love.
