Thanks for the great video. Ordered a replacement ignition coil and tested as soon as it arrived….only to discover the secondary coil was DOA with zero continuity. Sad.
yep, that is possible. These parts are all mass produced in factories that probably has some loosey goosey quality standards (due to the nature of the product and application) so I am not surprised that you got a dud especially if you didn't buy a genuine honda one. Honda ones, while are very high quality cost a LOT more than a cheapie aftermarket route.
Couple of things - "Finger tight" means tightened with your fingers, not a wrench. A better description is "lightly tighten" and demonstrate as you did. The other thing is that one should NEVER start a lawnmower with sandals on. Ex-firefighter talking - the result of foot under mower is not pretty. Well, it's plenty pretty painful! And a great way to traumatize your family. Otherwise, great video - short and to the point!
