Just had a demo a couple weeks ago, the Torque/LV are definitely the star of the line up. Roam Soft were very comfortable but didn't feel like the rubber for toe hooking was great, would recommend it more as a beginner shoe
I'm a so iLL Stay regular volume user (6 months-ish); I would say it is a very soft shoe and very comfortable to wear in. There's not much difference between new and after breaking in, because it was very soft since the beginning. Personally, Vibram XS Grip 1 isn't my favourite, i found it not as sticky (vs Madrock XF rubber in this instance). The rubber patch on the toe side is very thin and I would say the toe hook performace is quite bad (comparing this to my other shoe such as Madrock Shark 3, Drone CS and Unparallel Flagship). It look super stylish though, best looking shoe I've ever purchased ☺
From your current quiver, these So'ill shoes only have the design for them... In my country they're very overpriced and with this Vibram rubber that I found trash amongst every other real rubbers (I'm a total fan of Unparallel RS and even RH. I have also Mad Rock and La Sportiva XS grip 2). I've tried a few of them in the shop and I don't fit very well the models I've tried and for like 180/190€, ain't no way I'm putting this amount in no name shoes, even with big names behind the brand. I don't think they'll make their place if they are so pricey in a regular basis. Also, they have a nasty back story of shitty shoes so it'll be tough for them to change this.
@Lucroz94 which country did you came from? And which so ill shoe did you try? From where I'm now, soiLL pricing is similar to Evolv and Tenaya, and lower than Scarpa and Lasportiva. I do have to agree that Vibram XS grip 1 is quite weak, can't wait for mine to thin out and resole it with XS Grip 2 lol.
Soill was really shitty some years ago. Had the stay on my feet last year on a fair and it felt really nice. Just climbed it one boulder and it was good, but to early to get a real review. It's q bit narrow bit still ok for my wider feet Sizing is similar to mad rock and butora, 1,5 sizes bigger and scarpa and 3 sizes more than La Sportiva.
For Stay regular volume: My street shoe size is EU43 and i use EU41.5. I downsize them quite abit because the shoe is pretty soft with thin materials, thus downsizing them to 41.5 didnt cause too much pain for me. Please note this is a performance fit
Just had a demo a couple weeks ago, Roam soft my regular street size was perfect. Torque LV and Stay I need to go down have a size. Everybodys feet are different so take this with caution
yeah that’s not the shoes fault…I climbed through the Roam and Torque and the only bad thing I have to say is I wish they lasted longer! But they were absolutely stellar for forerunning V8+ in my opinion
Looking better than ever tbh. They’re really looking to capture the athleisure aesthetic when most shoes give off a more techy and bright look.
yessss also let's not forget Jae Jung's design credit on the Stay and Street

Size recommendations?
Like madrock or Butora, 1,5 bigger than scarpa and 3 sizes more than La Sportiva. Hope this helps 😊

@@mikafull You mean 40 la sportiva = 37 so ill or 40 so ill = 37 la sportiva?
@@gilles9160 correct, 40 soill and 37 la Sportiva
Anyone else struggling to pay 150+ on shoes?
Theyre great for casual sessions but v6 and above...
