What a great thing to come back from a bouldering session to see. I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again: I’ve really been loving the More Magnus videos. We get all the quality of a main channel video, but so much more climbing content. 👀
magnus is giving everyone what we want. high quality main channel videos of all genres, and high quality climbing videos on a second channel. were so lucky!
THIS is the kind of content I've been waiting for from you, Magnus 😊 I miss the days of Flying Viking, trying hard outdoor climbs, and seeing how happy the process makes you. More of this would be amazing, thanks for making this man!
Dave is such a respectable climber and more importantly person. Amazing how well and hard he climbs and to be such a genuine and nice person too. Great to see Magnus having fun, enjoying the climb for himself
I think many of us 40+ can relate. It's just hard to identify with such a high number I feel. I couldn't imagine how far off 45 would feel if I was as fit as Dave 🤯
I love Dave! He is so underrated, not just as a climber but also as a really knowledgable and wise person. I love that he gets the attention he deserves and hope he will get credit not only for how hard and bold he climbs.
Is it just me or this channel is even better than the main one? Also Dave saying the top is wet in a surprised tone when it's LITERALLY RAINING is just too funny 😂
Bumped into Dave while he was working on his project a few weeks ago. Absolutely lovely guy! Was lucky enough to watch him figure out the last segment. (soaking wet no less haha) Was incredible to witness him climbing.
So happy! I’ve been waiting forever for Magnus to make more videos with serious outdoor climbing and then when he does it’s with friggin Dace Macleod - please please please make more like this - please!
This is the great type of content that got me watching your channel! I'm surprised you didn't post post this on your main channel. This definitely deserves it!
Great to see you climbing outside. One of the joys of climbing is slowly working through a problem and accomplishing little bits at a time. We got to see more of that here! Loving the variety in the channel, keep it up!
Dude, you look so happy and relaxed. Except when you are freaking out, that is. 😂 I am happy and relaxed as well to see you climbing this much again on this side channel. Love it!
Awesome to see some proper climbing outside on Scottish rock, and with Dave who is absolute climbing royalty. For my tastes this is the best video Magnus has ever made.
Great video, Dave is a true legend. I climbed at Dumbarton a few years back and I found it very technical. Glad to hear Dave say that strength is a curve with a flat top. I’m a couple of years younger than him and still have ambition.
Incredible collaboration video, i love it!!! Both guys are super cool. I am 43 and i feel a connection with them age-wise, especially to David. How can you be so strong at that age? Utter respect! Also David's course is great, super good, it's helping me a lot.
Magnus, this was great. Love to see you struggle and then top. Still heaps strong. Dave is such a strong climber too. Hope you do some more videos with him. Two humble guys together .. nice!
This guy McLeod is such a humble man, like how calm and quiet he is. Nice video - again from Magnus. Nice onsight climbing on this nasty slippery rock - rapsody. Thanks for the great insights!
You are absolutely SPOILING us Magnus. This kind of gem of a video on the side channel. Now everyone is gonna want to sub to this one as well. Nicely done 🙌
Magnus I really enjoy seeing you climb hard stuff. It's awesome to see ya showing us how hard things are and seeing your talents on display. I maybe a fan but your still a world class climber recognized by the top people in the sport.
awesome video, loving this stuff. the collabs with other youtubers on the main channel are fun from time to time, but this is so much more interesting imo
Dave is such an amazing person to listen to, he is so into details and he likes to share them and it made me learn so much form his videos, this was a great video! Also Rhapsody is climbed on some majestically beautiful rock! Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic video Magnus! I watched the whole video with a smile. It was a great collab with Dave. He seems like a down to earth man and a great climber. Fortsätt gör dessa videos , du sprider en sådan positiv aura som man blir glad av.

Super hyped for that colab :D. Dave doing a FA of a 8b+ boulder at his age really makes me think that proper nutrition, good work ethic and experience can make a climbers "prime" last until late 40s/50s - so maybe there's hope for us 30 year olds that got into climbing not so early in life :). I don't expect myself doing a font 8B+ any time soon but ppl like Dave give me hope that there's more than just a few years left of possible progress ;>
Loved this magnus. As much as all the other stuff is cool, let's be fair most of us here are climbers first & foremost. So to see you & Dave doing one of the hardest routes in the UK. That's what we love to see.
Magnus I absolutely love the return to climbing content. You mentioned in a recent video feeling like you’ve been out of form. Hoping you’re still enjoying as we are and we get to see your journey back ❤
Dave used to be called Dumby Dave as he climbed at Dumbarton Rock all the time when he was at Glasgow university way back more years than I care to remember and train in the evenings at The Glasgow Climbing Centre around '98 Shirt off was a regular thing and his muscle definition was incredible
The lines in this I personally loved the most were: "I'll try it on top rope." "Once you do it on top rope, you'll want to lead it." After: "There is no way I'm leading this." It's nice, once in awhile, to see someone way better than me react to something the same way I would.
Crazy, had to pause the video so many times because my fear of heights kept triggering all the time, even when sitting safetly on a chair at home. A lovely top rope climb, thanks for bringing us non-climbers up there with you.
love these outdoor climbing videos, i'm looking forward to seeing more of them in the future, even with some sport climbing or outdoor boulders. Maybe you could even do a video with Chris Sharma
Awwww this is class I remember buying the e11 dvd when I was 18 , crazy it was so long ago .😮now to see magus doing this is full circle for me 🎉 good work sir
I enjoy watching Dave climb, this is an excellent collaboration. My ancestry largely points back to Scotland so this is also the closest I can get to seeing where my ancestors came from before they immigrated to America so long ago! Someday I'd love to visit there, totally jealous! :)
I have not climbed for years but still really enjoy all the content that I see, can sit in my chair and love that all climbers are out there pushing on no matter what grade❤❤
"This is a hand jam, I love it. That's my favorite" - Denial
"Handjamming, that's not my specialty, but this actually felt pretty good." - Bargaining

I love that Dave said he hadn't been on Rhapsody in almost 18 years but apparently still remembers every tiny hold on the thing.
"It's a handjam. I love it... my favourite" my sarcasm meter exploded
I'm sure I heard Tom and Pete sniggering in the background.
I genuinely couldn't tell, maybe I haven't been watching him long enough lol
THIS is the kind of content I've been waiting for from you, Magnus 😊 I miss the days of Flying Viking, trying hard outdoor climbs, and seeing how happy the process makes you. More of this would be amazing, thanks for making this man!
The top rope on Rhapsody showed how badass Dave is, thanks for sharing this
What an epic collaboration. Thanks magnus!
Great choice to make a second channel if this content wasn't going to make it anywhere otherwise. This is what I subscribed to the main channel for.
Dave is such a respectable climber and more importantly person. Amazing how well and hard he climbs and to be such a genuine and nice person too. Great to see Magnus having fun, enjoying the climb for himself
Your smile at 5:06 is so genuine. Great to see you do routes.
Dave is one STRONG guy!!! That single arm catch at 18:38 was insane! Embellishing the reward for hard work and living well.
Love that this "lower effort side channel" has professional grade production and editing
I like the "I think" after Dave gives his age.
I'm 45 too and also need to think when someone asks my age. I only get asked a few times per year

better than main channel
Dave MacLeod vs famous youtube guy I don't know, pewdyewhatever? Dave all the way.
wow, what a collab. Legend.
Also, these videos are so good. Some of the best climbing content on TH-cam.
I love Dave! He is so underrated, not just as a climber but also as a really knowledgable and wise person. I love that he gets the attention he deserves and hope he will get credit not only for how hard and bold he climbs.
How is Dave underrated? He is considered all the things you wrote and more in the last 20 + years
"when was the last time you climbed outdoors magnus?
i don't even remember"
it breaks my heart man, please, keep the outdoors videos alive
Omg what a collab. Arguably the two best climbing content creators on YT.
Is it just me or this channel is even better than the main one? Also Dave saying the top is wet in a surprised tone when it's LITERALLY RAINING is just too funny 😂
That whiplash in the 2 mins of the clip is crazy
Soggy hands here on the couch!

Magnus, thanks so much for making an outdoor climbing video, especially with Dave! It's so cool to see you climbing outside again.
Dave is one of my favorite climbers!! So happy to see you both collaborating. Do more with him in the future, please!!
I really loved that Dave said he's stronger than he's ever been. We are always improving!!
Magnus, thank you for this great cooperation and video. It was great to see you outdoors again.
You've been absolutely smashing the content lately Magnus! The collabs, the challenges, everything else... love it!
