- With a extra/second graphics card in an IBM server you will encountered a problem with the IMM remote control to the server. for it can only use the onboard graphics card.

My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ft² and it is full, of half-finished projects.
I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I'm trying to get the most out of my money, and my time.
For all your EFFORT you put into making all these videos. I say THANK YOU and keep them coming.
Hi Ye Manuelo
Thank You very much! glad you liked the video :-)
Thank you for watching! :-)
Thanx for checking this out! I want to add in a VGA card and pass through to a MAC OSX VM. I tried to do this for some time with IPMI on a Supermicro board and it wouldn't work. Supermicro told me it couldn't be done despite their BIOS having settings similar to the IBM you are using here. Glad it will work on the 3650, now if ESXI 6 would just work with a OSX VM!
Hi Les Garten
I am not trying with OSX, but next video on this projekt is beeing edited to day and uploaded wednesday. I get realy close,,, BUT ;-/
Thank you for watching! :-)
hi. i can't find the video where you told that imm remote management needed some older version of java to run.
i have system x3200 m3
Aleksey Adamovsky Yeah for these older servers is best to use Java version under 8 (like 7.45 works fine), newer versions often shows errors, some of them are not easily manageable, but these older versions don't.
I don't suppose this setting is hidden away on the original x3650? I have this exact issue on mine. Oh well.
Sorry,, I don’t remember what I did in this video,, what setting?
@@MyPlayHouse To use the on-board graphics instead of the add-in card. I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have it.
I can't seem to enable a GPU on my x3250 M2 4194.
I've tried plugging directly in to the motherboard via the 16x connector. I've also tried the riser that's x4 connectors but still no good.
Would you mind giving me a little golden nugget of advice?
Maybe there's a setting in the BIOS I'm unaware of?
It might not work in the x3250 :-/ I tried everything in a x3850 M2,, and never got that working.. but in a x3650 M2 I got it working.
Maybe you GPU has a too new PCIe like if it only works with PCIe 3 and 4,, and the server has an older PCIe 2.0 (I have not checked)
hey there
i got an x3650 m3 7945
i got the config for the imm configured and i can access the website but it is stuck at logging in what to do?
thx
