Gotta say - it's _SO_ nice that the shop has the test dummies in it so that you can actually get a sense for how things work without having to test it live.
I love that Tom saw a relic that made him stealth if not attacking for 7 seconds and just decided he was too smart to read the second half of the tooltip. That’s why I watch.
Sooo glad to see Magicraft getting some attention! The spellcrafting system is amazing! It's a lot like Noita's, but it feels much more accessible, and being in an Isaac-ish roguelite just makes sense. Probably my only gripe with the game is that the meta-progression is really grindy, but that should be fixed as the game gets more content
I really love how messy, crazy, and random you can get with the spells! I also like how chaotic it can feel but, oh, so powerful! What a neat little game! Glad to see test dummies in a safe zone too, I love that touch!
@@Glytcho it is something really amazing if you're willing to spend tens of hours getting good at it, but for casual roguelike players it's not really that good
@@Glytcho yeah, if a game is gonna be like going through a meatgrinder, at least add progression mode that awards you exp to make subsequent runs easier by upgrading yourself! otherwise it just feels like being stuck, and when finally figuring things out, you die and get reset to square one
This game has some of the same mechanics as Runic, which Tom has played before. Runic sadly hasn't had any updates for over a year so it's great that someone else have made a game similar to it, with more polish.
Developer of Runic here. Still want to get back to it eventually, but life unfortunately life got in the way, and now it just kind of hanging over me like a giant early-access cloud that I can never quite get the time to address, and its just growing a bit every day. This game looks amazing though!
I realled liked the pillars in one of my runs - had wall piercing, heaps of snakes connected by lightning chains, and on the other wand just low mana cost pillars to slap up defenses
You know what, looks pretty interesting. I could never click with Noita, but maybe if it were used in something more like this, I'd get into it. It's such a big mash of sooo many different games, so I just hope it still has that unique feel to it.
same, i WANT to love Noita, but the lack of any permanent progression, combined with the fact that anything can instantly kill you (even yourself) just made it too hard for me
Hopefully Tom gets some of the rare spells. The one that multiplies next spell 500 times is crazy with smaller spells + target tracking. One of my lucky runs I managed to smash together a spell that made the game grind down to
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1474 Oh now this is a really cool game :D such a fun idea and exacution. Really like how things can combine and such, reminds me of Hololcure's system. Also, really cool starting of spells to begin with, I mean the Blackholes, the snakes, the "cats" and such more, so good :D Oh now that combination of the floating wand and the invisibility cloak is a real good one, but as Tom put it, if the enemy can't see you, neither can you see yourself XD
technically as the point of magic is to approach apotheosis, by definition magic cannot be overpowered. if i can't destroy and create entire multiverses at will then it's still got upgrades to get.

@@esuomiThe best part of Noita is picking up a wand that fires out 4 giga tons of dynamite and blows it up (and yourself)

He was paid to lead not read

The wand creation feels VERY noita
@@esuomi He did actually play Noita a few years ago, though I definitely wouldn't mind him revisiting. It's a hilarious game.
@@esuomi I 'still' can't understand wand building after watching so many videos lol.
Rolling cube boss looks straight out of Titan Souls. Devs played some good games 👌
it's wizard tom, with his extensive use of hole and tentacle based magics!
Isaac + Noita + Generic Rogue-Like Passive Upgrade Items + Relaxing Music
I really love how messy, crazy, and random you can get with the spells! I also like how chaotic it can feel but, oh, so powerful!
What a neat little game! Glad to see test dummies in a safe zone too, I love that touch!
Not sure how I feel about the... slimy umbilical cord spell build, but all the interactions sure are interesting
With the keys, relocs, and weapons, reminds me a lot of Tiny Rogues.
yeah seems way more like tiny rogues than Runic or BoI
Noita but you don't have to die 20 times to get a cool wand
dude noita could have been something amazing if it wasnt harder than dark souls

I wanna see more of this ASAP!!
Tom the amount of grunting and "oh"ing in this video is really 10/10 hahah
But what if I wanted to create my own weak spells, Tom?
Bam, get slugged!

this guy casts
This game looks awesome! Looks like a lot of combos like binding of isaac, probably going to pick this one up.
So it's Noita but it's Binding of Isaac with popcat being just the cutest
This really got seriously bonkers. XD Well played.
Once again reccomending bio-prototype, a survivor game where you "program" your weapons.
Yes!!! Really feel Bio Prototype deserves to be way more popular. Absolutely phenomenal gameplay mechanics
I did enjoy this Tom, it would be good to see some more!
Those slimes are too cute I couldn’t hurt them
Well, the meatleash had me spit out my tea :D
Physics lesson with Tom; black hole singularities care not for the Butterfly amount.
Tom always finds the wildest games
That was wild 😂😂😂 this was great!!
Mandatory Algorithmic Comment Because We Love Tom And The Editing xx
the binding of noita, cool
This feels a bit like baby's first Noita meets Isaac
I really want to see more of this!
I could watch 3 or 4 more videos of this
Bit of a maplestory vibe to the mushrooms
And the slimes
You know for a game called Magic Raft, there is a distinct lack of rafts
Ooh yeah I played this in the Steam Next Fest, pretty fun
This game is like if The Binding of Isaac and Noita had a weird but beautiful baby.
This looks very cool, and kinda oddly cute.
the spell creating reminds me very much of noita
Did tom misread x%? Cos ×70% cooldowns is pretty good
This looks really good. I've added it to my wishlist. Also, Tom didn't use his invincible potion did he? 😄
I want Tom to play cult of lamb again so so so bad
The curse of invisibility lol
binding of noita
binding of issac meets notia
Love Tom and his meaty cats:3
Like a less insane and more accessible version of Noita
holy shit more please!!
Noita wand system meets binding of isaac?
Yes and it's beautiful! Much less dying before actually being able to play with the wand system.
yes! potion seller!
Seems very magicka
super amazing game Tom! I would like some'ore please sir!
Very much Noita x Binding of Isaac
Bam blast them!
great vid
Have you thought about playing Noita at some point?
He did and didn't enjoy the overly punishing mechanics of the core gameplay unfortunately, because otherwise it'd've been a very Tom-like game.
I think he already has
yaranaika
That first boss though.... 🤨
SHADOW WIZARD MONEY GANG
WE MAKE OUR OWN SPELLS
Bam
Please don't tell me that I'm the only one that thought JoJo's bizarre adventure when he changed faces?😂
"The black holes care not for butterflies" sounds like someone who doesn't like the butterfly effect saying that big events will happen no matter what
Someone put Binding of Isaac and Noita in a blender.
This is basicaly Noita?
Please editor, stop removing too much footage! I like seeing Tom combining and crafting, instead of just skipping to the result 😓
magiyes please
Of course Tom didn't notice the third boss was mirroring his movement
Who is that? Clearly it's Chris Trott.
6:26 That sounds like a terrible ability... And it is the worst of the worst in Noita. You'll just be teleported into danger.
Interesting replayable game
moar plz
Really cool game but the music just doesn’t match for me…
Get back on NOITA
