That was beautiful what you said about your baby boy, that you were talking to him in the womb. I did the exact thing 40 years ago with my son Elliot !! And when he was born I talked to him and he smiled from ear to ear !! You just brought tears to my eyes brother. Congratulations it only gets better !! And great job mommy !!

Anyway, I'm surprised Meta lets you filming so much of the process of building your boat. Usually, technicians don't like much to have their customers "on their back"! You describe newborn bonding very well. When a newborn takes the finger of his father, the baby creates a bond that will last for a lifetime. You will often see doctors or nurses very anxious to ensure that parents get the chance to make this bond as soon as possible.
To be fair... much, if not most, of the manufacturing and repair industry traditionally NEVER never allows anyone to hover over anything they do. Many craftsmen really do not like it one bit. There are liability, communication and emotional issues involved. Your disappointment is obvious yet this companies latitude with his issue thus far has been pretty incredible. Stuff happens, its the way it is.
Your right, yet we have watched the media involvement of the builders of Delos 2 and how Brian and Kaza actually are part of the hull build, though they also had some "problems" when scheduling the flip at a certain time. Maybe build as Plukky does: Freedom will never be flipped as those Vietnamese welders works just as good up side down.
They didn’t warn you because probabily they don’t want you to stay there… instead of complaining about poor communication you should feel their need and do not go there filming every step!
As a machinist and welder I can tell you I'd rather have my toenails pulled out rather than have someone film or watch me work. A lift that large is hairy enough without spectators.
I have never known anybody who could accurately describe that instant bond between a new born baby and it's parents. It is wonderful, enriching and a little bit scary. I wish the three of you all the joy in the World. Congratulations.

I am really impressed by the work of this company, from the little welding details to the spot-on logistics that you describe. I haven't been watching the Delos build, but I can't imagine that it is anything close to the professionalism of Meta.
The Delos build flipped in this weeks episode it two cranes one a big lifter and the other to drag it out. The lift was from two bow fixings so that was end over end rotation rather than a sideways roll. So they had to have it outside hanging and rotating.. then lowered deck up and pulled back inside on dollys. 🧙🏼♂️👍🏼
Is this an example of the much recognized French worker arrogance? I get the feeling that they are sabotaging you Duca. The crew working on the Delos build are friendly and playful and willing to teach. This Meta team ha. . . not wanting to be filmed doing the job they are being paid to do. @blueclue57 you have a limited imagination. Start watching Delos and you will instantly see who the professionals are in this regard. And it's not just a language barrier. Those guys are pricks, they have seen Duca there filming from a distance, always, and how could they be so ignorant of what his audience might get a kick out of seeing to not let him in on such a milestone in the construction. I feel your frustration.

Duca , happiest day of my life was when my son Brandon was born. That was 39 hears ago now. Time flies when you're having fun. 2nd happiest day of my life was when my grand children were born. TWINS !!! Never thought I would experience that level again in my life .. but I've been blessed with this again. Question in see all this flipped boats and you may have covered this in a past episode ... but why no bow thruster? Now would be the perfect time to ... if nothing else, install the structural opening.

Impressive scale of build . I’ve been around a few 1000 new builds and even had small part in a family business building aluminum trucks for Alaska’s North Slope . Some things about aluminum hulls are hard to overcome. The corrosion needs to be prevented rather than accepted. Epoxy Primer everything. Bedding compound for anything attached and line fasteners with Sikaflex / Lanacote. Even sign vinyl will protect the expensive Alum but best to sand , etch , prime with no prep done unless primer going on within 24 hours . Don’t allow “self-etch “ primer . Vacuum sand 80 grit and hand sand edges/ corners. Don’t paint over SS if it touches Aluminum. Learned this wrenching on Outboards. Another thing on Alum hulls , they transfer noise easily. Closed cell foam will help and keeps condensation down which was learned the hard way by houseboat owners I knew who had 40’ hulls welded , then built narrow houses on top . They had wet walls from their own breath. We also flipped 30’ boats with 8-10 guys , usually a few stood on gunnel to slow the fall onto tires . The welders can weld a lift hook for the crane hook then cut it off later . Precious metal will go up in $, I used to tell (ex) wife and boat customers. Our hull bought at $1 / lb. now costs $4/ lb.to build. I hope it doesn’t get too heavy at end .
