I've seen a few reviews of the Road 5 & Road 6 tyres and one of the points made a few times is that the Road series seem to be susceptible to puncture, more so than say Metzeler equivalents. Have you had any experience of that?

What mileage did you get from the Road 6?

Had Anakee's on my 1250GS for 7,000 miles (not worn out) and changed to Road 6's about 4,000 miles ago. No problem at all with the Anakee's performance but I don't ride off-road so wanted a sports/touring tyre profile and tread. As I ride with custom earplugs I can't honestly say I noticed the noise, but prefer the quicker turn-in and grip of the Road 6's.

I have the Anakee on my regular 2021 GS (not GSA). 8800 miles so far after 10 months. Probably will easily make 11-12k miles on them. It would really be interesting to know what the key factors are for why we all get such different wear distances. Thanks for your video and time!!

Thanks for talking about the front end noise, holy Jesus. I just bought one last year in the front end noises horrendous but nobody talks about it

Looks like those Anakee's had at least another 3000m on them! They do make a lot of noise from the front but are overall very good. I have Conti trial attack 3's at present which are good and quieter. I hardly ever ride on motorways prefering to ride twisty smaller roads. Have a great trip.
