It’s 3 yrs later …. But what an amazing wonderful nice presentation it was …. Which is valid even today : 3 yrs later . Your humorous analogies are spot on ….
nice! wish it was a little more affordable!
Thanks!
Everything is made in China including the new iPhone 16..
i know this is an older video but i noticed you put the risers on the wrong way round, the indent is supposed to face outwards not inwards according to the instructions but if they have lasted this long it obviously not an issue
Can’t watch videos where they use the wrong tire name.
What mileage did you get from the Road 6?
You still using Road 6's?
Спасибо, очень понятно.
I despise cheap crap and cheap people. Buy once - cry once … buy cheap - repeat
Yeah some parts are cheap and nasty but some are top notch. I rebuilt and customised a trashed out 2022 XSR900, I blew my budget I had orinally priced up so instead I bout a ton of stuff of Aliexpress. The full system exhaust in titanium, I thought I’d take a punt for a few hundred quid, plopped on sweet as, quality and welding was first class. All the other parts were fine, stuff paying full price on things.
Agreed, just fitted a new set of German designed and German made voight moto technik risers on my Kawa z900rs. I'm not cheaping out on saftey parts!
Bullshit!.....for the money its OK! if you wanna spend a lot of money....Do it!
You’re entitled to your opinion. No need to be aggressive with it though. Ride safe. 👍🏻
The case is designed to fit both the 1600 and the RT. It is the same part number
I have one of these boxes and it takes 2 helmets easily one being a schuberth and the other a shoei neotec. I have no issues with the box apart from the fact that the hinged edge requires to be lowered a little, for aesthetic appearance as opposed to functionality
Turn helmet to its side
this guys life is important !!! and he cracks me up
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. Can I ask you which painting process did you follow?. Thanks again.
I’d go for the chinesium ones. No way there’s £80 of a difference.
The brake cable, turning the steering wheel all the way to the left in the lock position is not a problem? There is a solution; Thanks!
Get quality parts if you value your life...and only use high tensile bolts
I'm not seeing a big difference between the two in the video. Should have put them side by side and explained the good and bad because I couldn't make it out.
hi, the centralized locking of the top case of the k1600gt doesn't work, what do you think could be the cause? Thank you.
perfect thanks, made the fitting a breeze, apart from the release clip on the cable connector cover, that took a bit lol
It's an aluminum spacer. I get that you are not very technically literate, especially paying 96 euro for an aluminum spacer, and crying about the method of how they shaped it. You are the sucker when they say a sucker is born every minute. You don't even own measuring calipers to identify any tolerance difference, or you do, but the facts didn't support your fragile ego pinky raised in the air argument.
I'm on the fence between Gtl or Bagger. Helped me understand the B a little better. Thanks
Do you happen to have a part number? I have a 2012 K1600 GTL. I’ve found one for 1250RT. Not sure if its same one.
I’ll be picking my 2021 RT on Monday and can’t wait.
Put 100 miles on the 2021 K1600 today, your review is pretty much spot on, this bike only had 445 miles on it, saw another review which mentioned back pressure when the screen was all the way up which I did feel the first time I raised the screen which is like some wind pushing you forward, but it seemed like it depended on wind speed and direction, not a deal killer, my first bike with quick shifter, smooth as silk except if you're lazy going from 1st to 2nd it could end up in neutral, no big deal, reverse gear is nice to have moving around in the garage, took the antenna off, good machine...
Great review, just traded in my 22 Rocket 3GT on the same bike you reviewed, put 10k on the Rocket, love it but trying to check all the boxes, BMW was just delivered, haven't ridden it yet, wish BMW had made the bags removable with a quick disconnect for the signals, between the bags and huge silencers the rear wheel maintenance looks to be a challenge
Thank you! These were excellent instructions helping me install this light on my 2012 K1600 GTL. The only difference was that my light came already mounted inside the bracket. Otherwise everything else was spot on
What is actually bad about it in real use? Real defects not bias.
Amazing bike, but is it really a bagger???
I just received my top case brake light for my '21 R1250RT from Canada (their price was much less then the USA dealers). No doubt your excellent video will make the install a piece of cake tomorrow. I am so glad I found you and your side kick. You are informative and your conversational style is fun and easy to follow. From Sacramento , California, thank you, I am your newest subscriber!
Great review, booked a test ride this Wednesday morning then the goldwing bagger in the afternoon……. decisions decisions ahead???
Is chinees product in a german box 😂
Quit crying ride the bike
I think it's a 1250RT top case not the 1600GTL!!
What you need is the GT version of Road6 for such a heavy bike.
It is true; most of us have friends who will laugh at you to death if they find out you put cheap parts on your bike, so be careful out there.
The risers aren’t the problem it’s the bolts, so fit better quality bolts and you’re still saving £70 !
Best way to route the cables is to take the rear rack off, easier to route cables and secure with it off. That's how I did my ezcan
A fool and his money are easily parted ....
Love the video, as I am riding with my wife, I am always interested in pillion opinions.
Great review. Thanks
Cleaning out the space with the air filter out is a good idea before replacing with a new air filter. Thanks for the video.
Very clever, thanks!
You haven't established the lack of safety. Minor alignment issue and a slightly different colour . Maybe stick to buying pillows for your missus.
Are you ok?
You still don’t understand what you pay and what you get?
I do. That’s why I made the video. Watch it again…Listen this time
I have used chinese one often and nefer had any issues 20000 miles with bar risers and levers with no issues at all so speck as you find
