    I'm 4 weeks post-op from gastric bypass (May 29th). I just did this workout. I broke sweat in 5 minutes and didn't get too tired, only from the leg/arm lifts. Normally I don't exercise, but I feel pretty good. Even though this video is 10 years old, it does the job. I have it saved to my video list. Thank you for posting it.❤

    I had gastric sleeve surgery on 10/26/22 and I'm looking to incorporate some type of exercise . Something that isn't unrealistic for me. When you weighed around 375lbs. and now 302lbs. and haven't really or barely worked out ever ,this is a good simple start to get your body up and moving . Good for beginners and then slowly build your body up for more complex excerises.

    I was wondering the same question how long after surgery can we start with this routine. And if it matters I had my gastric bypass the 25th

    I have the same question, I had my surgery on the 26th of August, 2014. My weight was 380 pounds and today (07-01-2015) my weight is 270 pounds. But the problem is my body is becoming sluggish, I need some exercise and found this video.
    So my question is can I work out the process you showed in the video

      Hi, Cherrie! Thanks for checking out our videos. Unfortunately, our doctors aren't allowed to speak on patients' specific situations in social media, so it would be best to consult your own doctor. Or if you'd prefer to request an appointment with one of our physicians, you can do so with one of our specialists either online at www.loyolamedicine.org/appointment or by phone at 888-584-7888. Good luck! -Keisha -Keisha

    hi i just had my surgery a week ago. how long should we do this exercise and at what point do we increase the intensity?

    • @LoyolaHealth
      @LoyolaHealth  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi, Sam! Thanks a lot for checking out our videos. You should always check with your own doctor about the best course of action for you since he/she knows your case best. But our bariatric team advises patients that they can engage in light exercise following surgery but should not do any heavy lifting of more than 10 lbs. for one month. Good luck to you, and I hope this info helps! -Keisha

    is this safe to do 2 weeks after surgery... ? I feel fine in myself just want to boost my energy with a bit of exercise and not allowed to swim for another 4 weeks :(

    • @LoyolaHealth
      @LoyolaHealth  8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi, Adrianne! Thank you for reaching out to us. I contacted one of our physicians and she informed me that most patients are not cleared for exercise until about four weeks after surgery. Two weeks may be too early and even if you're feeling good, it's best to get clearance from your physician prior to resuming exercise. I hope this information helps! -Keisha
