    There is a couple of things to have in mind. I think if you turn off hybrid auto you actually have control over how much the engine is recharging your battery. Also, the engine turns on for cabin heating I think. So the best way how to lower gas consumption in winter is using the heated seats, forcing electric mode as much as possible. Using the engine for recharging the battery as little as possible. The engine should be used only for cruising speeds over 60kmh. And yeah, plug the car as much as you can :)

    I think you drove the car on the e-Save mode, meaning that you were usint the engine to charge the batteries. That's why, at the beginning of the video, the car was always with the engine on. When you unselect the "Auto" mode for the Hybrid drive mode, you are using the engine to charge the batteries. If you select the "Auto" mode, then you are in Hybrid mode with the car managing for itself when does it needs to turn on the gas engine.

    Thanks you so much for the informative video. I had one question. If I start with 0% battery, would I still be able to charge the battery using recuperation?

      Yes you can, and in auto hybrid mode it will use what little electricity is available, but charging under braking is not huge.

      We use LPG in Croatia so CNG version isn’t available here.

    Peccato che all'inizio hai impostato la ricarica della batteria (deselezionando "auto" in ibrido)... quindi il termico oltre a far muovere l'auto doveva ricaricare la batteria, peggiorando i consumi. Se si vuole guidare in ibrido bisogna lasciare selezionato "auto" come hai fatto dopo. Entusiasta della VRS iV

    Pozdrav.Sa Savice se krece:).U potrazi sam za novvim autom,trenutno gledam corollu sedan hybrid.Ako bi mogo dat neku usporedbu ove škode i corolle?Radim nesto vise od 20.000 godisnje,uglvnom po gradu Zagrebu,Kada idem na dalje relacije ide se starom cestom.Hvala

      Na žalost od Toyote ništa ne testiram pa ne mogu uspređivat. Škoda je super osim što im novi infotainment koji zna zezat koliko čujem. Sve ostalo super i auto je preporuka.

      @@JRCarReviews Driving in the highway for about 10km makes impossible to achieve that range. You drove in hybrid some kilometers for sure.
      Best results published are 60km only in the city (eco mode), but combining city and surroundings about 45km.
