Should of spend more time focusing on the seafood platter. And Talking about each seafood Individually. Showing what your eating. Oysters could've been bigger. Nice platter though.
Menu says basa/swai. this is a fish from the mekong river in asia, and the basa swai we get here is farm raised in Vietnam. Unless you upgrade to grouper, that fish was not fresh but farm raised and frozen, imported from Asia. It drives me crazy that we live by the coast and it is so hard to get actual fresh seafood from the Gulf Coast! I still want to try the restaurant, but I don't do fried seafood, so the selection is small.
Haven't been there in a long time, I try and visit Pensacola once a year. Always try and eat at different restaurants, so I ended up going to 5 Sisters, Peg Leg, Flounders, Mr. Pollo. Went to Destin and enjoyed some fish at Boshamps, catch of the day Snapper on Cheesy grits,with grilled veggies, the best.
Strange that local seafood restaurants like JPattis and Shrimp Basket serve basa imported from southeast Asia. SB sold it as grouper until inspectors tested it and proved it wasn't. We eat at Gulf Coast Seafood on 9 mile and can't wait until they get building repaired after the fire. Great mullet, shrimp and oysters, run by Patti family.
Hey Jack!👋🏾 My family and I just got back from Pensacola earlier this month. Captain Joey Pattis Restaurant is one of the few popular restaurants we’ve been too and we loved the food and atmosphere and service!❤️👍🏾😋
Went to the seafood market today . Wow !! Abundance and variety overload ! Prices were reasonable in comparison to coastal NC where I live (Holden Beach). Didn't know about the restaurant but will be trying later this week. Great video, thank you for sharing.
Been there several times always fresh seafood and great service going to miss going to Pensacola regularly. We sold our condo today. Pensacola is like a second home to our family hopefully we’ll have another place there in the future.

It's Joey Patti's restaurant and that seafood comes from Bon Secour. Do your homework.

and should try the crazy horse just before u get to the Lillian bridge at the alabama line - they have great mullet as well
We dont like the new location. Old location was better. Why did they move? Hard to find parking. Their food is always good.
The best seafood I've had in Pensacola is Dog House Deli on Palafox.

I live in Wisconsin but have visited Pensacola many times in the last 25 years. It’s always nice to see yet another restaurant to add to my list!
We were just there on Wednesday. Every time we go to Pensacola, we go here on Wednesday’s because they serve clam chowder - it’s really good!
