If you always point the bike's nose down, then you'll bounce a LOT. You want to stop tilting the nose down about half a second before you land to avoid it.
TheGreenNinja but pointing a bikes nose down after a jump and drifting in the right way allows you to drift tighter after the jump because you utilize the bouncing

I got my wii when I was 8 so about 14 years ago. I always used Automatic because i couldnt drive with Manual at all. Are there still hopes for me to get used to Manual? I have literally 0 experience with it at all
I feel you, since I first started playing the game with the automatic handling as well. It will take some time, a few days to maybe one or two weeks, but you will get used to it eventually :)

Slip drift - after drifting, immediately start another drift. That's all there is to it. You can also wheelie inbetween the 2 drifts but it's harder.
Yeah I think it's kind of stupid how this guy says to "never use the wii wheel." Even though the wii wheel is technically the best controller in the game(only if people were perfect). Everybody should just use the controller they feel most comfortable with.

Going as tight as possible is not really a good thing to put in a "Pro Guide" since delayed drifting does exist which makes you faster than just going as tight as possible. In regular mogis, you should also go wide sometimes so you can prevent being hit by other players, and I always say this to new players or friends, place traps in places where most people will drive.

I would say that you have to kinda feel it but if your are new to the "pro side" of the game, then I would recommend you to watch WR runs and try learn from them :)
Normal drifts are what you will almost use every time, “slip drifts” mean you start the drift while you are in the air so that you don’t have to hop again. The slip drifts he showed were just for longer turns that you can mini turbo more than once on. The spin drifts are just for very sharp turns. I just realized that I’m replying to a comment from a year ago :p

1:06 That's not even a Slip Drift. Instead, it is a Cain Drift. A Slip Drift is a no-hop drift which obviously you can clearly see there's hops right there. A Cain Drift is a drift where you start drifting by clicking the hop button immediately after you have finished the mini turbo of the drift before.
This is an entire topic on its own which I forgot to cover in my video but basically you want to point always downwards but move your nose up so you don't bounce weirdly back from the ground. You probably should watch some high quality runs to see what exactly I mean :)

It's not really necessary to only use these two chracters if you are playing online. You can use whatever character you like but for time trials try to stick with whichever is best
Couldn’t you use baby daisy and the bullet bike? It has 1 less point in speed than daisy Mach bike, but it has 5 more drift points than the Mach bike, which can make the bullet bike turn sharper than the Mach bike
Rosalina with the flame runner/ bowser bike is basically like funky kong, just doesn't turn as sharp as him though, she still is a good character though!

Bullet bike works but sucks against Bowser Bike (Runner) because of its low weight. And the Torpedo (Spear) works on simple tracks like Luigi Circuit.
My number one tip is to follow Phartzalot's detailed video guides. Remember to use wild wing with automatic to perform the best.

I've got better time trials with the dolphin bike than the character-vehicle combination that you are saying

I play on a regular Wii but with an HDMI adapter. I don't think you can "fix" it since 480p is just what the good ol' Wii has to offer :D

SquatingMaster Leider nicht. Funky Kong und Daisy haben jeweils die besten stats auf den Bikes, deshalb werden nur diese Kombinationen gespielt :)

Use F.K + Spear too.
Spear is only the good pick on a few tracks such as mc, lc, yf, stuff with long straightaways and wide turns. Flame runner is your best option

Joseph Keane yeah it is recommended when you are hit by something and you loose your speed so you use that mini boost to get your speed back
