Dravid and lakshman batted the whole day 😂😂and the TV is on till 5 PM. had one of the good childhood day.

@@honeysingh-jd8mpok kid 😂😂 ,u kids have been watching IPL and T20 these days just got to witness a good test match and decided it's best ,no it's not
Just key players were missing from India ,and today's Australia team is nowhere close to that Australia of the time u are watching the highlights, Australia was coming to India after winning consecutive 15 test matches and also won the first test match in Mumbai by winning the toss and choosing to bowl in a subcontinent ,that shows how confident Aussie Contingent that was and wrapping up the test in 3 days
On the other hand India have just come out of the match fixing saga , Azharuddin banned ,Sachin left captaincy, and Ganguly becoming the new captain, also his captaincy was on the swords in this test series and after the first test ,Late Bishan Singh Bedi declared Indian Cricket as dead , so this test match and also the series win gave a new lease of life to Indian Cricket

21 years till the date, even now I remember how afraid i was whenever i heard India was Playing against This Ferocious Australian Team. As a late 90's kid this Australian team actually gave me chills. Imagine how damn dominant a team can be, even a random supporter can feel the tremendous aura this Australian Team gave off. Then Came this EPIC test match. I still remember cheering with my father, class 1 kid cheering for Test match who has 0 idea of Follow On. Boy this match, Dravid and Laxman, shining like Damn Sun.

Ik that this Australian team was truly incredible but it wasn't like they dominated India in their previous tour of the country either. India bullied Australia in 97-98 winning the test series with the same scoreline 2-1 but only lost the 3rd test. They won the only test in 96-97 as well. Australia never had a great record in India hence it was known as final frontier for them. Of course this Australian team was almost certainly superior to the 97-98 team but keep in mind that the 97-98 team was also considered the best in the world at the time and had at that point already won everywhere in the world except India

There were multiple heroes in this test match..it will be an understatement and deceiving to say it was because of Laxman or Dravid or Harbhajan. The fact is all 11 members of this great team out performed the greatest test team of that era convincingly after having their walls against the back. The catches, the bowling, the batting, the keeping, the team spirit was so great to watch!!

I had no hopes on the game and Day 4 turned everything.... VVS lakshman.... and Rahul dravid played innings of their lifes... and Harbhajan with ball is magic... sachin got critical wickets with balll too.. in all in alll.. Its INDIA who has stopped mighty Australian victory streak... it was tears in my eyes... and no social media... i didnt get sleep that night.... waiting for news papers to publish this and waited till 5 AM and read all of them and slept peacefully
