I worked at Mosaic Wellness for a year as the second engineering hire and loved building the telehealth platform from scratch. It was a very nurturing experience working with Revant and Pranay as they took everyone's opinion seriously and Revant explained his vision with great clarity. Dhyanesh took my interview and I remember him explaining wealth creation and the opportunity on hand. Easily the best place to work in terms of growth.Keep up the great work!
The bar really gets high every single time Shantanu. Loved Revants's points on an ideal 0 to 1 employee. Helps folks like us to understand the expectations of a founder of a 0 to 1 startup :)
I am addicted to this channel. Keep getting new insights in every podcast. Shantanu really gets into the mind of his subjects and extracts maximum value. You are too good Shantanu
One of the best interview episodes so far. Such amazing content. This is underrated as hell! Can’t tell you how grateful I am for getting all this valuable advice, for free.
Hi Shantanu, been following this channel for quite sometime now. While I thank you for doing a commendable job in promoting entrepreneurship couple of suggestions. 1. There is a general belief that folks from IIT/IIM/ISB or consulting background can only venture into startups. I guess majority of the panels here have been the same so tend to think that unknowingly you may be promoting that belief further. Can you please bring some success stories from non IIT/IIM/ISB or consulting side who dared to take the plunge and have cracked it. Would like to hear their journey and thought process as well which may be a completely different one. 2. Since the motto is to promote entrepreneurs, can you also include some fail stories because startup stories are not always cosy and there are landslides as well. Would love to hear the other side perspective as well and the learnings from the mistakes that made the panel wiser. Thanks buddy and keep doing the good work!
Hi Shantanu sir, I have been following your podcast videos and season 2 of barbershop and I absolutely loved your content. I have just one small request if you can input small snippets of the abbreviations like PMF, Sor , etc that come across in these past videos and if you can release some content on some of the frameworks discussed in your videos. It will be very helpful. I am from pgp35, IIML batch , currently working with Blueyonder as Consultant. I am an avid follower of startup ecosystem and wants to hone my problem solving skills. I have discovered quite useful content in your videos lately. Kudos to your work and BSC!
As the proverbial barber, Shantanu is a great conversationist. I have been following the Bhartiya start-up ecosystem since my first year of Uni and found no podcast as in-depth and cathartic as this one. Kudos to the whole team for supporting Shantanu and making each episode more technically sound than the other. So getting to the brass tacks, I am unabashedly asking for an opportunity to become a more contributing member of this growing community. Let me know team if there are any open positions. FYI I am a business analyst with awesome video editing skills.
What an amazing and insightful session it was. I took few Learnings from this interview about hiring, investing time in people. I literally think we need this kind of podcasts more rather than celebs gossip shows because these sessions show us the real side of entrepreneurship and hustle of entrepreneurs. Thanks Shantanu & Revant for such a wonderful video. Keep doing it.
Boss ,this was great but Dhyanesh Shah ke saath ek episode to banta hi hai, man has such a clear & usefull way of putting what he knows and he knows a lot!!, either TBWS team travels to Mumbai(in such case let me know cuz I also live in Mumbai XD ) or he comes to New Delhi but pls make this happen!!! TBWS to the moon🚀🚀
I’ll definitely apply for such a fellowship. It’s an awesome Idea to make generalists better for the company and also as future founders ✨ Hopefully I get into this programme 🤞🏻
Loved the conversation, thanks Revant for putting out your thoughts and Shantanu for asking the right question and giving him the room to speak his mind.
Thanks shantanu for all these great episodes. Your shows are becoming addiction for like minded community. Keep calling such people, it definitely transforms mindsets.
Hi Shantanu, This episode was kind of a university education. Thanks a lot for digging deeper into conversations. What are the odds that we watch Kunal Shah from Cred as well in the episode?
Really good & insightful podcast on building an organization. Such specifications & details of things are something you cannot find easily on the internet. Suggest some more podcasts like this to me if you guys have any on your list.
What a beautiful episode. Thank you Shantanu And what an excellent idea to create brand awareness along with a creating value for startup ecosystem and your audience.
Superb podcast shantanu 👍 But really it's like to be successful in startup world u need to be from I collage or consulting firm. People from non I have to proof themself.
Insights after insights! This is the closest we have got with the whole startup ecosystem. I would love to see some medium size tech companies which had been underdogs so far. May be we can start with your father’s company! Definitely must have been a big shot 🎉 It would be interesting to see Shantanu’s father on the podcast!!
2 things that happened to me through the course of the 8 full episodes : 1. The effort to make entrepreneurship real and visible was commendable and it did make me feel motivated BUT 2. These guys are such exceptional, high risk taking, intellectual people that it also made me think that "oh fuccckk, I am so far away from even trying to do what these guys are already doing" Anyone else ?
Does someone know the Twitter handle that Shantanu is talking about at 2:16:40? The one about a Twitter handle that publishes legendary internal memos.
Shantanu Sir, Watched all your episodes diligently and it literally gave a lot of knowledge. Need to know your opinion, If I am working in a company as a full time employee and I am also doing something for extra bucks, Is it considered moonlighting? Secondly, Is it unfair to do that?
Very much depends on context. Does it affect your work? Are u working with competitors? For eg - if u are a coder and are teaching maths on weekends, great! No problem. But if u are a salesperson and on free time consulting a competitor with GTM, it’s an issue.
All I can think is entrepreneurs need to have loads of empathy, especially when things go haywire. I find it very hippocratic when shantanu says stress scales as we move higher in the management hierarchy. But then you also expect ownership from the employee handling a particular department or a task with complete ownership. They are facing it real time and are more or less unaware of what founder is thinking or going through. I think there is more stress on the employee. Especially if you are hiring freshers and giving them responsibility, they would be under relatively more stress than the founders if things are not going as expected.
I have only been in a position of an employee with a startup which failed miserably. Never been a founder. The point I am trying to make is, most of the entrepreneurs want to hire freshers or guys with 2-3 years of experience. Put responsibility on them, expect ownership and if things start going crazy haywire, I believe the stress is equal in proportion or even more on employee than the founders. Most of the 2-3 year experienced employees don't know the pressures from investors or anything that founder is going through.
Shantanu stop eating snacks so much. You are talking his side snacks also. When so great conversation gets disturbed by you picking up snacks from table
I was fortunate enough to work with Revant at Rebel. Terrific 0 to 1 guy, terrific problem solver and very nurturing leader.

Finally an Episode where one doesn't need to watch at 1.5x 🙈
Hahahahahhaa kaise ho yaar aap
Lol 😂 Thank you Revant! Literally noting stuff as simple as “You don’t to be in Mckinsey to be successful”
@ Shantanu - Can we expect next round of discussion in hindi or marathi ?
You will get wider audience for your branding and recruitment.
Absolutely, we should watch it at 2.5X 🌚
Seriously. The speaker is so knowledgeable and a breeze to listen to. I had to slow down the speed from 1.5 haha
The bar really gets high every single time Shantanu. Loved Revants's points on an ideal 0 to 1 employee. Helps folks like us to understand the expectations of a founder of a 0 to 1 startup :)
Glad to know it helped give clarity Sapan

Hi santanu , we are running a profitable company looking for funding to expand to 10x .

Been in both places so in a position to comment. Have u?

Point well taken but you cannot comment on stress levels of a founder if you haven’t been one. Period.
And I can guarantee u - it is multiple fold higher.
Hmm.. I think it's all about a fine balance of healthy communication and authority, between a founder and employees.
Shantanu needs to stop having chakna (nuts) while conversing. Great Show, regardless.
Shantanu stop eating snacks so much. You are talking his side snacks also.
When so great conversation gets disturbed by you picking up snacks from table
Love food what to do
Actually that’s his cue to the guest ki Tum bakwaas kar rahe ho. Pl talk sense 😀
Why does this beard man keep making eating sounds in between?
I'd recommend anyone looking for digital gold 🪙 to just come here & watch this till end !!! 👏
Lack of a better word "Sweat Shops" 44:50 🥲
Awesome season and end 🥲 cant wait for season 2 shantanu ✨🤌
