I'm showing my age but I used to play Mario Bros on the Commodore 64 back in the 80s, it was probably one of the first games I ever played 👀
Best thing about it it's that nobody is going to claim this after Duke Nukem Forever.

God, this was my childhood. I had no idea how to play this or Mario Bros. 2 when I was 6. Massive nostalgia, as this and Super Circuit were some of my first games. I will say I prefer Mario Advance 2 over this. I played that one before the original Mario World, so I get uncomfortable if spin jump isn’t on a trigger…
I thought Bowser was in multiplayer for this game. Is that only in 3-4 player mode?
I looked into it and it turns out they are playing classic (co-op) mode and not the battle mode which has Bowser. Now I wished they played on the battle mode cuz for one that would make it easier who won.
Bowser is in Battle mode.
