Very true! I've been doing this exercise for several weeks. Finally my symptoms have stopped! I've been in pain for several months. So glad its gone.
Pls tell more. I am in constant pain 24/7. Main reason neuropathy. Back and hip pain now very severe in specifically the lower back middle to right hip causing pain right down the leg. I am gping to start with these excersises immediately. Pray to God it will help. Still a very young 64yrs but had a lower back fusion in 2005. Problems and constant pain since then

Omg ... Tried so many exercises in the past 1 hour by watching TH-cam videos ... 1 or 2 gave me a little bit of relief but the pain came back just after a minute or two but it's been more than 10 minutes and my pain is still on the lower side. I'll be able to sleep tonight. Thank-you doc!

Just got done with physical therapy and this is one of the exercises they told me to do at home. I can really see a difference in my lower back and buttocks!
What exercises for peripheral diabertic neuropathy. The pain in my toes, bridge of feet and legs are killing me. Chemical meds does only have limited effects. Palexia, lurika and triptilene only limited pain relief. Burning sensation 24/7. Nerve point in feet, legs and arms constantly in pain grtting worse by the day. Pains now in the knees, legs, forearms, shoulders and back. Input from anybody suffering from this disease would be much appreciated. Suffering is very bad. Eating away your everyday life and reduce a persons
ability to operate normal.

I think I’ll be doing this regularly. I have it severely when I’m driving especially for a certain amount of time, usually over 30 min it’s almost instantaneous and sharp. Grateful for this.

I suffer from chronic pain, meaning feet, knee, lower back, neck, shoulder. Doing PT . My Therapist just told me to start this exercise. He was talking it easy with me. I am in a lot of pain. The back of my thigh and my legs are so thigh. Hopefully this will work. Thanks

My sciatica pain went completely away when I nearly broke my shin bone. Pain free for over a month, but it's back. Don't recommend bashing your shin bone though. Just found it Odd, and it wasn't because my shin bone pain was worse, it wasn't, but it absolutely was painful over a week later..was numb at first. It's All connected, just like the song.

Thank you for sharing this! I am definitely going to try this right away. I have all the classic sciatica pain symptoms, but I have one that I have not heard much on. Most of my pain comes from my hip area and goes strait down the front of my leg. Is this common? Thanks!

Does this also work ifnyour obese. I've lost like 25 lbs in the last few months but its still extremely painful to move. And becoming even more difficult. I'd take any sort of help at this point.

I'm a runner, and I can't tell if my pain is sciatic nerve pain or glute pain. They both have similar feelings, especially when I'm driving for a long period of time. Can this exercise also work for glute pain as well?
They are connected! Use a towel to keep the legs up. Get a tens unit! Place it on your butt cheek then on your lower back. Lower back strengthening should be the three legged stool to help the other two work better. I'm back playing tennis three days a week!!

I hurt my lower back deadlifting during a football workout, I’ve been in pain for three months with sciatica pain, I went to the doctor they took an X-ray of my spine and said I might need an mri never followed back up and sometimes my foot and calf will go numb, doctors is not an option rn but I want pain relief what should I do??
I did this exercise for 5 and half weeks. It helped relieve the tension behind the knee. But a week and a half after stopping this exercise my plantar fascia is hurting as npw l have sharp pains underfoot and neural tightness in my butt. I spoke with a physical therapist about this and he admits it can cause other complications when stopped. He has recommended active release technique release as a way of releasing the nueral tightness.
I've done one similar. But you sit in a chair with feet dangling as you extend you leg forward you also look up only bedding at your neck

what if I just stretched too hard and hurt it instead of having something pinching the nerve? Do this works the same for recovering from a small injury?
I lifted some real heavy dumbbells in my garage and I have the worst lower back pain of my life. Will these help if it’s a bulging disk against my Sciatic.

Iv just started doing this but its way, way to pain full. Sends bavk of leg into sharp stab/spasm. I cant straighten the leg at all. Help?

I've been doing this holding my tennis 🎾 to hold my leg up for 30 seconds, each side! It helps!

I tried your excersise.. But the pain is too much even after.. Had one IBU prufen.. Because of chill weather inflammation the pain increases? Can I try chiropractor? Can t sit, lie down..

My pain is on my left side and I work with the left leg over the right leg fully extended and it hits it right on the spot. You can feel the nerve stretching and once you stop after 2 minutes it feeels soooo good. Probably doesn’t help that I worked out back today.
Do I hold my head up like that too or lay flat??
