Oh my god- MONTHS of teeth-clenching pain and complete numbness in pinky and 4th toe and outside of the entire foot improved dramatically within ONE session of these exercises! Hundreds of dollars spent on physio, chiropractors, osteopaths… and this guy on TH-cam blows them all out of the water. It’s like a miracle! I’m so relieved I could burst into tears. Thank you! ❤❤❤
I’ve been in tremendous pain since this morning, I couldn’t walk, I tried all kinds of calf stretches and none of them worked until I stumbled upon this video (after 10 more videos) and it got rid of my pain almost instantly after only ONE session! God bless you! I want to buy your book, it’s the least I can do!
This worked wonders for my mom. You are a blessing to people.
Thank you so much!!! Ive had sciatic pain at the side of my calf since the beginning of the year, thats 9 months. Its excruciating and i walk with a limp because of it. No one could explain it. I tried this and it worked the very first day i tried it!! Just amazing! Lots of thanks and appreciation from Trinidad in the Caribbean
Sciatic pain keeping me awake at night. So have tried this trick and it is helping. Wish I had been shown this by other physios years ago!
Same thing happens with me since long,I will start this ,hopefully help me too😢
This was exactly what I needed! I recently started running again and sit at a desk all day. I was feeling referred pain below my calf around my achilles. The pain left instantly with this technique. Thanks
The most sensible videos I have seen in my sciatica/back problem journey. Thankyou!
Glad it was useful!
This really works, I've been suffering for the past seven months, unable to walk a hundred yards without stopping, the pain is excruciating, I have been doing this exercise for the past 3 days , the numb sensation in my toes has also gone, I can actually notice a daily improvement thank you so so much. God bless 😊
Brilliant video, explained & demonstrated in great depth! Thanks for the information 👏🏽
Thank you so much! The hand pressure gave me some relief.❤️❤️❤️
OMG....why didn't my physical therapist tell me this instead of telling me I have weak abs. I'm an athlete and I lift weights and swim 5 days a week. This is SO helpful.
I've been SUFFERING for months with this. Gone to the Dr. gone to PT, no one showed me this. I did 8 reps and it relieved the burning pain in the outside of my calf nearly instantly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Instant pain relief! Thank you 🙏
This is such a help. I have seen several orthopedic doctors and pain specialists, and none of addressed my lower leg sciatica at all. No one has suggested this easy exercise. I do these now routinely 3 or 4 times a day, particularly before going for a walk, and as soon as I feel the sciatica pain just starting. I’ve had 4 epidurals, acupuncture, 2 nerve blocks, plus a radio frequency ablation. Only the epidurals helped, and I can’t have them continuously. This “trick” is hugely beneficial for me.
Good evening, were the epidurals in your spine at the L-5 or S-1? Thanks!
This does helps, I saw doctor as I had trouble bending my knee since a couple of months but he said it is due to rheumatoid arthritis that I had. I tested positive for arthritis two years ago and was taking medication since then. This pain was affecting my quality of life but wasn’t getting any help until now. I tried applying the pressure as you suggested and I feel instant relief. Thank you so much! I am still taking my arthritis medicine but this is exactly what I needed.
Thank you. For real. Practical, effective advice. Where are the doctors like you in the real world? 🙏🏼
Thank you very much. Excellent video
“Thankyou!” … instant blessed pain relief. It actually works.🤗
Simple and effective trick, thank you for sharing.
God bless you sir! Instant relief! You have given me hope!
This exercise seems to be working for me! Thanks!
Niw to get my hip to stop hurting..
Thank you so much for this. I have been suffering from restless leg for years and doctors do nothing. About 9 months ago I began to suffer from a pain mid calf on the outside of the leg. The pain felt like it was coming from the inside of my bones. Now I understand why. I have been routinely doing legs in bed to ease the pain that would actually wake me up. I have an appointment with a bone doctor but I wanted to inform myself better as to what may be causing the pain. On the X-ray it shows that I have a hairline fracture that I hope is healed by now since I’m talking about many bones. I have no idea as to how I fractured my heal. I don’t ever remember heel pain but it happens to be on the same side of my calf pain. Needless to say, I have asked many questions and all that they have come with is to refer me to a bone doctor. I honestly believe that your explanation of how and why you would feel that type of pain, is the most plausible. I will soon have an examination but at least I can discuss my problem with more clarity. I will also discuss with the doctor the possibility of the involvement of the sciatica nerve. In the interim I will be doing your recommended massage. I trust you. Thanks again.
Thanks so much im going to try this!!
Bro I'm 29 and have had this type of pain since 27. It's miserable that doctors don't take me seriously either and act like nothing is wrong despite the fact starting causes severe pain behind the knee and down my calf. It makes life miserable.
Sorry to hear about that and hope you improve very soon!
Use a tennis ball and roll the tender areas with decent force. This worked for me just try it.
Absolutely i am suffering too in this pain😢
I’m 51 and I’ve had sciatic and knee pain since I was 24. Now I have spinal stenosis cos nobody took me seriously. Walking, sleeping and even sitting is really painful. Please make sure they take you seriously no matter how loud you have to shout
@@Littlemagpie2487 I'm trying. The worst is insurance. They don't care about your health or suffering
Thank you so much.. I have been looking every video for this pain.. and it's helping for me now..lots of love from India..
Glad it helped!
Thank you very much for the free advice.
No problem!
I cannot tell you how much this video has helped me. No one seemed to know what I was experiencing and one doc told me that my symptoms made no sense. Since finding this video I have had pain relief. Thank you so much. God bless you
PS. I had no other sciatica pain. Is that possible? Well, whatever this really helped me.
It absolutely worked. Thank you. 👍🙏
Pleasure!
Thank you for this. I didn't realise that sciatica could affect the calf as well as the upper thigh (which is where I have previously experienced sciatic pain). But that spot at the head of the fibula is definitely where I can feel the worst knotting, and doing this seems to help, so I'll keep on with it & see if the improvement persists!
Wow. Amazing. Dulled the pain immediately
Great to hear!
That little bit wherr u grabbed the fibula , thats exactly where the burning feeling comes from and goes down my whole calf
It literally feels like my leg is going up hundreds of degrees in temperature, in bursts lasting about 3 seconds
Im 29 years old , fit and healthy
5,11 , 80kg slight muscular build
This really sucks
It feels like fire !!!!!!!!
When i put pressure where you said it feels sooooooooooooo good
Its like un unbearable pain but it feels soooooo good
My god
Worked for me instantly thanks so much, the pain was keeping me awake
My pleasure!
Thank you for the exercise tip. You explained very clearly what I know about my paid that has been diagnosed through nerve doctors but no one has ever told me this tip. I am trying now.
I hope it helps!
This did the trick. I was looking all over the internet to alleviate pain on the outside of calf and this did the trick! Thanks so much.
Glad to hear it!
Me too! So grateful for your channel! @@HT-Physio
I do the same, looking all videos since long 😢
Thank you sooooooo much!!
Thank you soooo much!
Very informative. For a long time I had no solution to this pain in this area until now.Thank you very much.Your a legend
Appreciate this video, I don’t know if I might have a DVT behind my knee or if it was related to sciatica, but since my calf isn’t raised or red or hot, and I just mucked up my back, I’m gonna go with sciatic pain. Gonna give these exercises a try. Thank you
Wow this helped ease my pain in the calf alot
Am going to try it.
this is incredible, thank you so very much. I was given strong painkillers that didn’t work. This has reduced my pain after the first round! Thank you for what you do!
That is fantastic to hear, I'm so pleased my advice offered such rapid relief! Wishing you all the very best
Well explain
Thank you...
I really enjoyed this video and will definitely try this and let you know if it works. Thank you so much
You're welcome!
I have tried the exercise and I felt relived,Thank you so much
My pleasure!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Wow when I pressed it, it felt like there’s a bruise there! I did what I said and it feels great and gave me relief! I will do this daily thank you
Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooo much
Thank you so much for the suggestion! Definitely gonna try this ASAP. My calf pain has gotten bad and I’m desperately searching for some relief.
Hope it helps!
Great video. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I have had sciatica on my right side for several months now and just recently moved all the way down my calf. Just tried this exercise and almost instant relief! Hopefully I get some much needed sleep now! 🙏☺️
Just wow. All i can say is thank you
Thanks this helped significantly, & I've only done it about 4 times...
I'll do it more *THANK YOU SO MUCH* ❤️
i had an ultrasound as i was worried it could be a vein or muscle issue but everything was fine, however i have pain in my calf and it has got worse from my buttocks down the back of my thigh and into my calf on just the left side. I have just seen your video and I really enjoyed it. I tried the exercise and will continue to try this along with another video you have done on stretching out the 'opposite leg'. Thank you -
I have the same exact issue as you, left buttock (sit bone) pain, thing feels fine, then all of a sudden lateral left calf pain when I try to exercise or run
Unbelievable i just did it and it worked. Thank you Dr🙏. I had numbness and heavy feeling in my calf& foot. I have bulging disc in lower back.😢
Very good
Worked! I couldn't even lift my leg much off the ground, now I can without so much severe pain. Def worked to help alleviate the calf pain!
I tried it while watching this video and my pain disappeared. Thank you very much!
Damn, instant relief. Thank you
Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. My pain is bothering directly behind my left calf muscle , more towards the center of the calf. Do you have any suggestions to soothe the pain for this part? Will massaging help?
My mother was literally crying in pain last night despite taking analgesics, I found this video and applied the trick to her while she was lying down by one side. She got to sleep after two days and said to have less pain the day after. This at least gave her some relief until she gets to the tomography appointment and a clearer diagnose.
Very pleased to hear that and hope you can get some answers for her very soon.

I tried now hopefully will help as I’m suffering for sciatica pain on right side and the pain mostly on piriformis muscle and calf
Good luck!
Thank you, suffering for two years, painful especially when walking downhill. Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear you've been suffering - I hope my videos can offer some relief!
Omg..just found out what no specialist has been able to diagnose ..don’t know yet if this exercise will help …but will certainly try..🇨🇦
Really worked for me
Great to hear, thank you for letting us know!
thanks, that was extremely helpful, even after first 2 times, i felt much better
So pleased it was helpful!
it completely worked on me.
Thank you for sharing this. Very interesting that the sciatic nerve actually bifurcates at the knee. My calf pain is constant and way worse than the intermittent back pain. I'm going to do this exercise faithfully, and hopefully within a few days the pain will subside to at least a more tolerable level.
how are you feeling now?
How do you feel now don’t ignore us
Do you have any quick tricks when your hip and groin area are also in pain at the same time as calf?
great explanation of the nerves that effect the pain, but rubbing under the knee does not relief the discomfort from the lower back through the butt to the back of the leg. That nerve is somewhat pinched, that need to be relieved. How do you do that? Thanks
Your videos are really helpful. Thank you. I would like to see them be a little shorter, less talking, but that's just me. Maybe people like the long explanations.
ThankYou for such a great explaination about the CALF affected by siotica ...great video 🤮.
Very happy to be of help!
u the goat for this!
Thank you!
This advice gave me my first full night of sleep in weeks, thank you so much sir.
That is fantastic to hear thank you so much for letting me know and I hope it continues for you!
I felt relief after the first round of 15, Thank you!! I'm 52 yrs young😊
That's great to hear, keep it up!
The suggested intervention reduced pain and the stiffness. Please make your book available for purchase in India.
Does this help nocturnal pain on the side of the calf? You’re the first person i have even seen address the sides of the calves.
Hi mate. Amazing video, I have just had a baby and was mega tense whilst my wife was giving birth. Made me really tense and the first night with the baby was really though and it’s still hurting now as it’s trapped in my glute. It’s making my leg and foot numb - anything in particular to do? Cheers Josh
Hi teacher If we do like that but still pain. so teacher have another technic for this case or not?
I did a search of knee pain in TH-cam a month ago and this video did not populate. I’ve been icing, heat pad, started using a cane. Yesterday I bought an ACE(store brand) bandage at CVS using my HSA card. I’m at work today, did NOT sign in to TH-cam and this video is the second video populated to view. Though this is unnerving, I am glad to have the video. This is the only video pinpointing the issue I’m having. I am curious, I was aware of the exact moment the injury took place. I was sitting on the floor with my legs underneath me, knees bent sitting on my feet. I felt what was a shearing sensation, like peeling off a screensaver to a phone. It wasn’t terribly painful at the time, but it has been and more activity makes it worse. I haven’t seen a doctor about it because I feel all the will do is inject steroids, which doesn’t do anything in the long run. I am thinking a good massage therapist with this understanding of this video might be a more effective route. I will try to do this myself as well.
I have slip disc and hence cannot bend. Is there a variation of this exercise that I can do? Thanks.
I'm currently going through sciatic pain down my left leg. The pain is in my left glute and left calf.. Hopefully trying this recommendation helps.. 😣
It's working buddy.... I want to know what is the cause of the pain ??... I'm in my mid 20s why I am getting this pain??
Do u go to the gym?
@@ImCarsonyea No I don't go to the gym. I simply do 15-20 pushups after waking up every morning. That's my entire workout for the day.
I'm finding wrapping my hands behind my knee and pushing with both thumbs feels more affective. I'll let you know if I get any relief
I do this, and I also use a massager. I can feel uncomfortable electric shock running down from my knee to my foot. I wonder if something is wrong with my peroneal nerve. Can it get trapped or pinched? If yes, how do I help it?
Does this also help with cramping in the calf, my calf and then my toes go into spasm. Been going on for about 6 months after 3 months of excruciating sciatic back problem. Pain in back gone, but will this help for cramping?
can this cause burning sensations to front of lower leg and into parts of foot?
long ago, an mri was able to see a stairstepped l6-s1 area with a little bit ot impingement, but i don’t think the pain was like this. guess it’s time get reevaluated with the pain management/spine specialists
can you please tell me how to massage if the pain is in the inside of your calf and is super tight and swollen from sciatica ???
I had a pain management doctor tell me just a few days ago that you cannot have sciatic pain in the outer calf without having it in the upper leg also. I told him it felt like sciatic pain which I have had a lot in the past. I’m trying to find out why my hip is causing such terrible pain. Not sure why he would tell me that. I’m also having severe lower back pain again after having back surgery six years ago. I’m really tired of doctors making me feel like I’m a hypochondriac when I know I’m not. Hopefully this will help while I’m waiting for insurance to approve a MRI.
Your doctor is wrong. I have twice had badly herniated discs that caused calf pain with no thigh pain.
It's been over 3 months where the inner calves pain (5-6" inches) below both knees. Is there something I can do?
You're an absolute saint, thank you lol!
Is this trick only meant for temporary relief, or, over time will it permanently relieve symptoms?
I used to have a herniated disc causing sciatica about 8 years ago. Since then, I have muscle fasciculations in my calf now and then.
Anyone with these symptoms and a possible remedy?
2:35 the way you say "knee" 😁🤩
Haha :)
This is painful. I can't sit on my feet or do a deep squat because it's such a sharp shooting pain on my outer calf. I gotta try this. Thank you
IT WORKS 🫶🫶🫶🫶THANK YOU😌😌
You're welcome!
I have pain in lower back and center of calf and didn't able to stand without pain even for 5 sec. please suggest exercise. No pain while laying down and sitting in a comfortable position. But High pain while walking and extreme pain while standing.
Can you do it more then 3 time like every hour or so ? And I appreciate all the help
There will come a point when one can overdo this exercise and sometimes aggravate the nerve so we usually recommend sticking to the 3 times per day. However, this varies for everyone. Hope that helps!
When I stretch to reach my toes (not even close), after having loosened up my flexers and keeping the back straight, I feel that the sharp tingling sensation in my calves (it feels nicely spread out), is this the Sciatica ?
I feel the sciatic nerve; it tingles a little bit. Is this correct?
