As a 67 year old man raised in a old time conservative Pentecostal church started in the 1930’s by my grandparents I am blessed. I saw the real gifts of the Spirit. I saw people born again and receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. A small country church that often had revivals for months not days. Often had altar services and worship that went past midnight. Often though we had the same pastor for 50+ years he never ran the meetings. There was no set programs. We had somewhat a order of the service but often that was interrupted by the Spirit and the service started on its own and ended on its own. We as young converts were never instructed to seek the gifts but the GIVER. The gifts came from the Giver. The baptism came from the Baptizer. We were never told how to speak in tongues or stop praying in English or start in the flesh and the spirit would take over? We were told to pray until we got in the Spirit. We were told just as we have to get in the water to be baptized in water, we are baptized in the Spirit by getting in the Spirit. Even when you get in water you still don’t get baptized until the person that baptizes you emerges you? Likewise in the Spirit we have to submit ourselves into the hands of the Baptizer. A baptism without the Baptizer is useless? A tongue without the Spirit giving the utterances just Babel. I never knew there was anything different until maybe the 1970’s. I was preaching a revival in a small country church and took 2 guys I worked with who both suppose to been pastors of a church and both claimed to have the “gift of tongues” They both told me in private they never heard anyone speak in tongues like that. They only “knew a few syllables”? These I suspect had been taught or tricked into saying whatever came out their mouth or mind. It was not a known language or a heavenly language. It had no power. Jesus said you will “receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.” Tarry seems to be a bad word in churches anymore. Sanctification and dying of the flesh seems to be a waste of time. The “church” now only has 60-90 mins or people get bored or want to eat. Everything has tried to be put in a quick microwaveable formula. Easy come and easy gone. Yes you can receive the Baptism in minutes. You can be saved and Holy Ghost filled in the same service. It’s in the Bible? But for some it takes, weeks, months and rarely years. Mostly because of repeated sins or unbelief. But both can be overcome by prayer and seeking GOD. There is no waste of time seeking the presence of GOD. I’d rather pray a gallon of years and a bucket of snot and get the real thing then to get deceived into something that had no power or wasn’t even biblical. Selah.
This is awesome! I can relate, I am 70 years old and I have been through an experienced the same things! Well said! And don't stop saying it! These young people need to hear the truth from people who know what it's like to really be in a "spirit-filled", "spirit-led" church. Often times, in the church I'm at today, which is well known for it's gifts, healings, and worship (a huge industry in that), that the Spirit will start to move and before you know it somebody's up on stage moving the service along. Why? Because the pastor has three services to do here on our main campus and one service that the pastor runs to in between two of three services on the main campus. No wonder the Spirit can't move! With that kind of tight schedule, Holy Spirit probably just figured he'd opt-out and let the man do it. 🤷🏼♀️ We need to learn that God lives outside of time and space, and that the Holy Spirit of God is not bound by these confines, nor will He be! I so appreciate the concept of "tarrying"! And I so miss the altars, those beautiful, wooden altars up front that was somewhere for someone to go and direct their self to God personally. We need to bring these things back. But even have songs that say come to the altar, but there's no alter to come to. It's not just a piece of furniture, it representative of the altar of forgiveness on the temple grounds. Well, you said a lot of what I would have to say, and I just want to tell you thank you. Repeat it every time you can, come in here and copy it, save it to your phone, and if you have another place where you can put it that it fits put it out there. People need to hear it. This generation needs to know it can be different! It can be alive, thriving, moving, inspiring, not a social club and not a religion. Blessings! 👍🏻🤗🙏🏻🕊️❤️🔥🙌🏻❤️🔥
@@GLORYWIELDERS Thank you for that encouragement. I believe the younger generations are getting cheated out of what GOD has for them because for some reason it has become popular that they don’t need the same experiences that their grandparents and g-grandparents got. They aren’t given the opportunity and message we were. Therefore they settle for less and a lot of times nothing because the world has more to offer them then the church. If you don’t have anything you can’t offer it? There is no substitute for seeking the face and presence of GOD. Programs and social activities never changed anybody. If there ever has been a time that the altar should be the main focus of the service and that ministers should be weeping between the porch and the altar it is now. Please don’t cheat our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren out of what GOD full plan of salvation is. If we do they will rise up in judgement and condemn this church age.
Thank God! Tears are coming to my eyes. Because this was an affirmation to my experiance 40 years ago. In an ordinary prayermeeting I asked for intercession because I was not sure if I had the holy Spirit. After praying I did not feel anything, but I knew my God knew me. Some day after I was walking alone in the woods, and got the thoughts: Open your mouth and just say what comes out. So I did and felt sort of crazy. But: I knew God took it seriously and saw me like a child learning to talk. Afterwards I have not quite put the full value to this even though I have continued to practice it alone driving my car. But now aftdr listening to you, I finally understand it was through faith this happened, and I will try to share your message as much as I can, so I'll try to see if I can get it out from my computer. Thank you for your listening to God's plans in your service for him!
I desperately asked God to please, if it is His will for me to "speak in tongues ", as I was raised against it, to help me to. I had tried and tried. After praying my desperate prayer of Caleb's "show me" fleece: "Lord, if it's Your Will, let it be so, if it is not, then let it not..." before going to sleep, I slept peacefully, waking to my tongue making repeated tuh-tuh-tuh movements and my breath adding the sound. As I slowly gained alert consciousness, I felt like I was peeking in on myself, afraid to interrupt what this odd phenomenon was. Then it hit me(!) and I relaxed into it, merging lightly and internally jumping for joy. I realized I was speaking to The Father. He had answered my prayers. Over time I have gotten more comfortable in it. My education was such that I occasionally have doubts. I asked for forgiveness and help in understanding, for myself and my family, who feel betrayed by me changing my belief after teaching them as I was taught. Some think I am 🤪. I have started praying for healing, my son's kidney stone (usually a harsh drawn out ordeal, he violently threw up, no more pain, all better. So not definitive for proof.) and my husband's more serious health concern. His biopsy results aren't good, we will discuss with doctor in a week. At least with this healing, there will be documentation, so will be a strong witness for him, our kids, the doctor, etc. If it is a less noticeable healing, I will take it. I trust God and He knows His children better than I do. 😊 May God continue to bless His children. 🙏🏼🇺🇸✝️🇮🇱🕊️ ✨✝️🙏🏼💖🙇🏼♀️🕊️🙌🏼✨
I forgot to mention that I found this, and a more explanatory, video of yours after I asked God for understanding and forgiveness of my doubts. Thank you for the biblical lessons on the different kinds of "speaking in tongues". I have shared them with my family, for their edification. ✨✝️💖🙏🏼✨
Would like to add, don't force speaking in tongues. You can't practice it. Remember to repent and like John said obey and yield and praise God! And when it comes, just let it flow...there are times when I would just praise God and all of a sudden my English words would turn into something I've never heard before. Let it flow!
This is helpful to remember! My spiritual language was just gifted to me a few weeks ago and since then I have been wanting to speak to God with it again. But you're so right to let it flow! I appreciate that.
Nice to hear from you, John I’ve often heard from his wife Lisa through watching Joyce Meyer, but I love the subject of speaking in tongues, and I hope more people do come to learn of it because the devil doesn’t know what you’re saying and you don’t know what you’re saying therefore it’s the sincerest pure form of prayer through the Holy Ghost💯
PRAISE THE LORD!! MY LIFE HAS NOW BEEN CHANGED, MY COMMUNICATION WITH GOD NOW W HAS BEEN CHANGED & MY SPIRIT MAN THOUGHTS HAS NOW BEEN CHANGED!! I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR BLESSING ME WITH THESE SESSIONS ON THE POWET OF TONGUE!! MY GOD MY GOD!! I EVEN FEEL REVIVED & RENEWED FROM THE INSIDE OUT! GOD BLESS YOU SIR!!
Praise God, John, amazing, brilliant teaching, I'm passionate about speaking in tongues but you have given me more understanding, so thank you. I will pass on your teaching. I'm always encouraging people to pray in tongues. Telling them how amazing this GIFT is. Again thank you John and keep going. I praise God for you wand Lisa. Pauline Charman England.
@abellopez4112 This portion of the chapter is referring to speaking a language others can understand while in public, so you can teach them and build them up.. it is advised to pray in tongues in private to edify yourself and speak with God in intimacy. However, earlier in the chapter it also says if you speak in tongues in public, pray for the gift of interpretation or do this while an interpreter is present so others may also receive a revelation from God. There are various types of tongues. If you are interested, I believe John has other videos that go into detail further about this ❤️
Thank you John for your passionate and compassionate way of sharing God's truth, and how to develop and enjoy our relationship with the Holy Spirit. God Bless you.
I have really learnt a lot that I did not know about holy spirit through this session may God received all the glory as l start my journey with the holy spirit 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
John Bevere, first of all, God bless you and Lisa and your boys! God bless your congregation also. Secondly, thank you for this series. This segment specifically helped me to yield to the Spirit, and my spiritual language came! Hallelujah! God bless all who see this series! Amen!
Oh praise God for this message I am so happy you you decided to speak on the Holy Spirit and that I found this message today. God bless you and your team and everybody listening in the name of Christ Jesus the Holy Son of God my Lord and Savior Amen By the way, I get into the presence of God through praise and worship in the morning. Not to say that Scripture is not an excellent way perhaps I should combine the two. But praise and worship does it for me! Hallelujah
Thank you so much for sharing the sessions on the Holy Spirit. i,ve learnt a lot and am hungry to put into practice with the help of the Holy Spirit all i've learnt. May the Holy Spirit bless you.
God knows the intent of your heart. And He wants you to seek Him, over and above all else, including spiritual gifts. When He knows your intent of your heart and it is right in His eyes, if He gives you the ability to pray in an unknown language that is great. But if you do not have it, that is okay too. He gives many different spiritual gifts, not just tongues. And all are good and perfect gifts. All for edification and glorification of Him, Him only.
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.” (1 Corinthians 12:4, 6-11 NIV)
Good teaching on the power of tongues/ Holy Spirit I must confess I too am guilty of not using this gift as often as I should. I am blessed to have receive this gift may I use this gift more often. Thank you for sharing. God bless!
@@pcan777 personally by experience- you worship and praise God in English and the Spirit gives as something bubbling up with in like a fountain of living water, it’s a gift stirred in the spirit of worship. This is the only way I know it’s happening genuinely. I don’t think it’s something you just turn on and off by your own doing. It could be different at different times. Basically I believe we are just praising God and our heavenly language is decreeing and activating the Word for angels to respond in and minister wisdom and insight that in other words we could never come up with on our own. ‘“ In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word is God”.
that was one of the most powerful messages Ive heard on the Holy Spirit, its a shame many have abandoned one of the Most important pieces of our Christian walk. receiving the Holy spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues is crucial to our fellowship with the Lord. thank you, although I understand the baptism in the Holy Spirit, I gained great new revelation from this powerful message. God bless
Perfect timing on Pentecost Sunday and for me on my quest to know Holy Spirit's personality. Thank you, John. This blessed me and I'm so grateful. Sharing with my prayer group.
Speaking in tongue’s was a real event back in Bible times. Regardless of the “language” spoken by the speaker each listener heard the words spoken in their own “mother tongue.”
There are only three instances in scripture of the Word telling us of believers recieving the Holy Spirit and what happened the moment that they recieved( Acts ch.2,10,and ch.19). In each instance the first thing the believers did upon recieving the Holy Spirit is that they spoke in tongues. Speaking in " tongues" is speaking in one spiritual language. Paul calls in an " unknown" tongue that " no man knoweth"(1Cor.14:2). If no man knows it then its not a language native to this world. Paul also said," When i pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful..( 1Cor.14:14). In other words Paul is saying that when he prays in this language that he doesn't understand what he is saying.
Praise the Lord, Preacher, God will bless you more and more in the things of God because speak in tongues is gift from the Holy Spirit,1corinthians,14,2, comment from the county, PNG,
steps to be filled with the Holy Spirit - must be saved - no pattern of disobedience (peter says God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him) - in John’s experience - unforgiveness prevents ppl from being filled with the Spirit - ask - you have to speak and yield. cannot expect Holy Spirit to grab your tongue: Holy Spirit leads, the words bubble up when you speak in faith. in case you’re not there yet and you’re wondering, John does NOT “teach” believers how to speak in tongues (what to say, what to repeat), but how (what posture) to receive the gift. i think it’s sad that there’s so many comments bent on misunderstanding the message he is trying to share. it seemed like they haven’t even watched the video, but made an assumption based on what they think they know.
Amen, thank you! I kept seeing negative comments pop up, and I was very distracted because it's just such a sad annoyance. Leading babes in Christ astray causing confusion. I was confused in the past because of people who did not believe and were very much against tongues. I studied my Bible diligently and fasted searching for the truth. Tongues are very real and alive today, and THANK GOD FOR THAT WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY 🙏
"All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?" - 1 Corinthians 12:30 You cannot teach spiritual gifts. Run from any preacher who thinks they can and that you need to pray in tongues.
“He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”” Mark 16:15-18 NIV
@@debbiebramwell what you do in private is between you and the Lord. But nowhere does the Lord tell us we ought to speak to Him in some mystical language. Indeed it is written that the Lord already knows every thought we have before we form them. It's not like the Lord needs to have a special language to hear or understand us better. Teaching others how to speak in tongues is not biblical.
What saddens me is that believers are fighting over a gift that has been freely given to them. Those who don't have the gift yet believe it's not real instead of just opening up their hearts and listen to that word and learn they have all this scriptures out of context to validate their belief. Look the things of the Spirit are received by faith. Most people don't receive this gift not because God doesn't want them to have it. It's because of unbelief & if we really want to receive we have to get past the unbelief, fears, unlearn some things. Honestly if you take your bible forget what people have said about this gift & do a study by yourself you'll see that this gift is important in our lives as believers. Infact Paul said he spoke in toungues more, could it be the reason as to why he had such profound revelation of the kingdom of God? We have the written word of God, read on you will discover there's more than 1 type of toungue. 1. Toungues for personal edification. 2. Toungues for interpretation 3. Toungues for intercession or groaning. 4. Tounges as a sign to unbelievers. Trying to put all this kinds of toungues into 1 will only lead to confusion. What the apostles spoke on the day of pentecost was the 4th type of toungue as a sign to unbelievers. They spoke earthly languages that they were not familiar with. This type of toungue works in public setting when the Lord wants you to witness to someone in their own native language. This is what most people reffer to that toungues should be understood by the hearers. Now when you look at this other verse it seems to contradict that theory. 1 Corinthians 14:2 NLT [2] For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious. If we are going to believe the bible lets not choose what to believe or what to discard. Lets study the scriptures wholesomely to have a deeper understanding. My advice for those who are skeptical about this gift is that let go of what you think you may know then open your heart to and allow God teach you from his word. Most people that have trouble receiving this gift is because of what they heard from somebody. If you read the comments you'll see most of them don't understand the subject in depth they rely on hearsay.
Where do you get so many types of tongues from the scriptures? I can only see one in acts , and no indication that the tongues in Corinthians have changed from what happened in acts . The Bible doesn’t say or teach that the tongues in acts are one type and the tongues in Corinthians is another .
The only thing I’ve ever seen fits in the category of power of suggestion. Some borrowed from eastern mysticism. The same as what I have seen at a hypnotist show
Matthew 23 : 8-10 8 But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi’, for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers. 9 Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven. 10 Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ.
None of this is historical Christianity. No one living in 1700s or anytime before 1850 would ever have shared in this conclusion or thought. No one, not one. This is not Christian in the sense of being part of the Church. Do your own research, this is entirely brand new, not a part of Christianity. I know its hard to think outside the day and age in which you live. The power of the age is very strong, yet if you can think beyond today you will find a wealth of Christian History to share with all those who came before you. You'll gain a great fellowship with the Saints before you. Near none ever held to what is said in this video. This is eternally important is grasp with a full understand.
Speaking in tongue is not taught or learned it's a gift from God. Mankind can not alter what God has ordained by His word and language. Only my opinion of what language .
can anyone please give me the link to the exact minute of the video where John Bevere demonstrates exactly how to speak in tongues, like how he does it?
1 Corinthians 14:27- 28 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two-or at the most three-should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.
Speaking in tongues is speaking an understandable language. Check out what happened at Antioch. Peter spoke Greek, but everyone heard it in their own language. It’s not this hilarious gibberish.
BAPTISM OF FIRE & SPIRIT Matthew 3:11 He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Acts 1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you (the apostles Acts 1:2) will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8 you (apostles Acts 1:2) will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you (apostles Acts 1:2). THE 5 POWERS Acts 1:8 you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you (apostles Acts 1:2). Mark 16:17-18 These miraculous signs....v17 They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed. Matthew 10:8 raise the dead... 1)THE APOSTLES HAD POWER OF TONGUES Acts 2:2-14 2)THE APOSTLES HAD POWERS TO HANDLE SNAKES & NOT BEING HARM BY ITS POISON Acts 28:1-6 3)THE APOSTLES HAD POWER TO RAISE THE DEAD Acts 20:9-10 4)THE APOSTLES HAD POWER TO HEAL THE SICK Acts 5:12-16 5)THE APOSTLES HAD POWER TO CAST OUT DEMONS Acts 19:11-12 Acts 5:12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. 2 Corinthians 12:12 The signs of a true apostle were worked out among you with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles. THE APOSTLES HAD THE ABILITY TO GIVE THE 5 POWERS TO OTHER PEOPLE TO HELP IN THE APOSTOLIC MINISTRY 2 Corinthians 12:12 The signs of a true apostle were worked out among you with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles. 1 Corinthians 12:29-30 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues ? Do all interpret? THEY CHOSE 7 MEN Acts 6:2-6 So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.” Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith). These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them. 1 OF THE 7 MEN STEPHEN Acts 6:8 Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed amazing miracles and signs among the people. 2 OF THE 7 MEN PHILIP Acts 8:6-8 Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did. Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city. THERE WAS AN FALSE 7 Acts 19:13-16 THE APOSTLES HAD THE ABILITY TO BAPTIZE PEOPLE WITH THE SPIRIT & FIRE JUST BY THERE PRESENTS, HANDS, SPEAKING Acts 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them (crowd of gentiles John 4:9 & Acts 8:5), and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message...v45-48 Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, "Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days. Acts 19:6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. THE APOSTLES ARE DEAD, THE 7 MEN ARE DEAD & THE PEOPLE THEY LAYED HANDS ON AND SPOKE TO ARE DEAD...APOSTOLIC MINISTRY OF THE 5 POWERS DO NOT EXIST ANY MORE ALL ARE DEAD. Revelation 2:2 you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 2 Corinthians 11:13 These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. Matthew 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:11 many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 1 John 4:1 do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 test everything.... 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves... Job 13:9 Would it turn out well if he (God) examined you? REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN APOSTLE Acts 1:15-26
My what a scam. Read the Bible. No one required any how to's when the gift of tongues was given on a few occasions at the outside of the church. And one thing is pretty clear and that is that it was an actual language that people actually understood!
The only part I don't agree with is when you say you need to speak first (sylable) because HSpirt will not do it for you? In ACTS they received Gift of Tounges simply by Hearing the Word by Faith (they received and spoke boldly) or by the *Laying on of Hands*... they didn't have to pump prime or push start the tounge to speak, mumble abacab, it (Gift) just fell on them and they were filled. Corinthians teaches how all the HS Gifts are of equal parts of same body by the one Holy Spirit, and each one is given as *He (Holy Spirit) determines*. Question, why do some teach that Tounges must come first before one can manifest in the other Gifts ? Since the Gifts are of Equal parts and given to each one *as Holy Spirit determines*, why the preoccupation with teaching Tounges as a first instance gift, why not teach Prophecy ? Paul said I wish you all spoke in tounges *but I prefer you seek the higher gift Prophecy*. He goes on to say... Prophecy is greater than tounges, and Prophecy is for believers while Tounges for unbelievers. I whole heartedly believe Tounges is one of the genuine Gifts of HSpirit , but why do people put tounges first when Paul said desire spiritual gifts *especially the gift of Prophecy*. Isn't he teaching us instructing us which gift is more essential or do we always fall back to how in Acts they received tounges first as a way to excuse it ?
@@LaoshiDJ Yes, verify everything you hear against the bible. Bible is the gold standard: Jesus's followers who received gift of tongue from the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (50th day after passover) spoke legitimate foreign language that people who speak those languages could understand. God endowed this gift through Jesus so that people can spread the good news of resurrection and eternal life to people of different races and nationalities. This is why bible says: "If any man speaks in tongue, - - - let one interpret." 1 Corinthians 14:27 These days, people utter all kinds of gibberish that no one can understand including the person who speaks it. This sort of meaningless tongues is not from Holy Spirit. People among pagans and their shamans utter weird gibberish when they call in demons into themselves. This is why you have to test the spirit as bible says: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
1 Corinthians 14:1-3, 19, 27 & 28 "1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.... 19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue... 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Why is there so much emphasis on speaking in "unknown" tongues, yet little focus on the interpretation of tongues . . . without the interpretation of tongues, none are edified.

We need to learn that God lives outside of time and space, and that the Holy Spirit of God is not bound by these confines, nor will He be!

May God continue to bless His children. 🙏🏼🇺🇸✝️🇮🇱🕊️
✨✝️🙏🏼💖🙇🏼♀️🕊️🙌🏼✨
I forgot to mention that I found this, and a more explanatory, video of yours after I asked God for understanding and forgiveness of my doubts.
Thank you for the biblical lessons on the different kinds of "speaking in tongues". I have shared them with my family, for their edification.
✨✝️💖🙏🏼✨
This teaching is so needed in the church right now. God gives good gifts.
31:11-32:31
Can you explain to me please 1 Corinthians 14:19
@abellopez4112 This portion of the chapter is referring to speaking a language others can understand while in public, so you can teach them and build them up.. it is advised to pray in tongues in private to edify yourself and speak with God in intimacy. However, earlier in the chapter it also says if you speak in tongues in public, pray for the gift of interpretation or do this while an interpreter is present so others may also receive a revelation from God. There are various types of tongues. If you are interested, I believe John has other videos that go into detail further about this ❤️
God bless you more and your ministry Pastor Bevere
Thank you John for your passionate and compassionate way of sharing God's truth, and how to develop and enjoy our relationship with the Holy Spirit. God Bless you.

By the way, I get into the presence of God through praise and worship in the morning. Not to say that Scripture is not an excellent way perhaps I should combine the two. But praise and worship does it for me! Hallelujah

Thanks for the eye-opening explanation, that’s from the Spirit Himself. God bless you Mr Bevere. We love you from Uganda 🇺🇬
Loving the energy that’s show while talking about speaking in tongues.
This was anointed 🔥🕊. Thank you Jesus for allowing us to hear and understand the language of the Holy Spirit thru this teaching 🙏🏼
Beware, when you seek gifts more than a relationship with our Lord. You are susceptible to counterfeit from the father of lies.
Oh my God
Servant of God you have taught me really the deep secret in the language of my father.
13:35 John and Lisa did what was right for each other for even agreeing to hear from the Lord first🩷
Amazing teaching!! Thank you Lord for this message of truth 🙏🏼
I love this,thank you Lord.
The best teaching I have heard to help others understand this wonderful gift.
Good teaching on the power of tongues/ Holy Spirit I must confess I too am guilty of not using this gift as often as I should. I am blessed to have receive this gift may I use this gift more often. Thank you for sharing. God bless!
God has protected praised be his name.
how to pray in tongues: ask God & wait. we don’t learn guys we receive! and THEN we learn it’s importance the more we use ot
I like this teaching.keep it up
Thanks you
wait for what...you still have to speak by faith
Speaking in tongues is a gift from the Holy Spirit! Not everyone is given this gift. Cannot be taught
Back in the days, u also deny jesus? And u think it was all back in the day?
Amen brother same here
Thank you for this message. People say we are not in God if we are not speaking in the spirit. False doctrine
Excellent teaching Man of God! Thank you!!!!👍🏽😊

Good teaching!
steps to be filled with the Holy Spirit
- must be saved
- no pattern of disobedience (peter says God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him)
- in John’s experience - unforgiveness prevents ppl from being filled with the Spirit
- ask
- you have to speak and yield. cannot expect Holy Spirit to grab your tongue: Holy Spirit leads, the words bubble up when you speak in faith.
in case you’re not there yet and you’re wondering, John does NOT “teach” believers how to speak in tongues (what to say, what to repeat), but how (what posture) to receive the gift. i think it’s sad that there’s so many comments bent on misunderstanding the message he is trying to share. it seemed like they haven’t even watched the video, but made an assumption based on what they think they know.
Amen thank you

Here it's started: 29:30
"All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?"
- 1 Corinthians 12:30
You cannot teach spiritual gifts. Run from any preacher who thinks they can and that you need to pray in tongues.
Agree. It is not necessary. Neither Jesus nor Paul ever said we must speak in tongues for God to understand us.
“He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.””
Mark 16:15-18 NIV
I speak in tongues ( private prayer language) I don't have gift of Tongues( public) Public is not prayer it needs to be interpreted by someone else.
AMEN!!!... Finally somebody who is using his right mind here.... GOD bless you!... :)
Amen!!!
If it's a gift the holy Spirit brings it not a human teacher
Amen
2. Toungues for interpretation
1 Corinthians 14:2 NLT
[2] For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you.
The Bible doesn’t say or teach that the tongues in acts are one type and the tongues in Corinthians is another .
so good
John 1:12-13
Gods’ secrets language the tongues.
The only thing I’ve ever seen fits in the category of power of suggestion. Some borrowed from eastern mysticism. The same as what I have seen at a hypnotist show
So how do you explain chpt. 14 about the principles of speaking in tongues and the interpretation of it?
Can someone give an example of a pattern of disobedience and how do we know we are growing in our obedience more and more?
Any sin
Matthew 23 : 8-10
8 But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi’, for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.

This is eternally important is grasp with a full understand.
have a lighter view on this topic, and ask Jesus to speak in tongues, speak it, open your mouth and try. Do not doubt

What puzzles me is that since speaking in tonques is a gift of the Holy Spirit, why would someone have to be taught to do it?
To counteract the false teaching that it is not for today.

It’s not this hilarious gibberish.
want to start a church in scotland ?
Bible says they spoke in FOREIGN TONGUES ie other languages! When has that occurred in church?

Acts 1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you (the apostles Acts 1:2) will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

THE 5 POWERS
Acts 1:8 you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you (apostles Acts 1:2).
Mark 16:17-18 These miraculous signs....v17 They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.

2 Corinthians 12:12 The signs of a true apostle were worked out among you with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles.
THE APOSTLES HAD THE ABILITY TO GIVE THE 5 POWERS TO OTHER PEOPLE TO HELP IN THE APOSTOLIC MINISTRY
2 Corinthians 12:12 The signs of a true apostle were worked out among you with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles.
1 Corinthians 12:29-30 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues ? Do all interpret?
THEY CHOSE 7 MEN
Acts 6:2-6 So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.”
Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith). These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them.
1 OF THE 7 MEN STEPHEN
Acts 6:8 Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed amazing miracles and signs among the people.
2 OF THE 7 MEN PHILIP
Acts 8:6-8 Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did. Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city.
THERE WAS AN FALSE 7
Acts 19:13-16
THE APOSTLES HAD THE ABILITY TO BAPTIZE PEOPLE WITH THE SPIRIT & FIRE JUST BY THERE PRESENTS, HANDS, SPEAKING
Acts 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them (crowd of gentiles John 4:9 & Acts 8:5), and they received the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:15-26
What is number 4?
My what a scam. Read the Bible. No one required any how to's when the gift of tongues was given on a few occasions at the outside of the church. And one thing is pretty clear and that is that it was an actual language that people actually understood!

@@sethmillsaps1770 thankyou
I believe that's if you're in a group of people
The only part I don't agree with is when you say you need to speak first (sylable) because HSpirt will not do it for you?
He is making up his own doctrine that is not even in the bible, just like most other people on youtube.
@@LaoshiDJ Yes, verify everything you hear against the bible. Bible is the gold standard:
Jesus's followers who received gift of tongue from the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (50th day after passover) spoke legitimate foreign language that people who speak those languages could understand. God endowed this gift through Jesus so that people can spread the good news of resurrection and eternal life to people of different races and nationalities. This is why bible says: "If any man speaks in tongue, - - - let one interpret." 1 Corinthians 14:27
These days, people utter all kinds of gibberish that no one can understand including the person who speaks it.
Holy Spirit learn people how to speak in tonques because it comes naturally how the Spirit leads
1 Corinthians 14:1-3, 19, 27 & 28
"1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
I don’t think I would ever want to go to a church where the pastor speaks like a used car salesman
Yes he sounds like a snake oil salesman.
