Good, short and helpful. Also really nice of you to include timestamps of the individual software used. I was looking for how to hardcode subtitles in Handbrake and I didn't want to watch the entire video. Thank you.
Thank you for a great tutorial. Simple and clear explanations for non-tech persons like me !! I very much appreciate the time you have taken to make and upload this tutorial. My daughter is deaf and backing up our video collection to a media server has been fairly easy but I wanted a way to burn the sub titles into the file so we don't have to 'add' them every time we load a movie. Thank you
Thank you so much for Subtitle Edit. I had spent almost an entire day to find a good freeware. Your video put an end to that worry. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the solid, concise video. Well explained. It was just what I was looking for. I was confused on burning subs in and in couple of minutes spent with your video solved my problem. Thank you again.
😥 I took some MOV's JPGs and and generated a I wrote the STL file in a text editor. I edited it with aegisub to write a correct ASS file. Neither Windows Media Player nor VLC displayed the subtitles. I importet the mp4 and the ass file in mkvtoolnix and there it was displayed in the same way as in aegisub. I corrected the language to en or de in all files but again neither Windows Media Player nor VLC displayed the subtitles. My last attempt I made a new video with burnt in subtitles with SubTitleEdit. This works but with no choice for disabling the subtitles. But this was the only way, that i could produce a file, that can be played with the subtitles. My intention seemed so easy. I only wanted to display the scores during a tennis match. Maybe mkvtoolnix might burn the subtitles itself, so i dont have to need SubTitleEdit any more. Maybe i only have missed a certain setting in my german windows.
Hello David ! With Subtitle Edit, is there a quality loss if the target size is the same as original ? And also no matter the preset and pass i choose ?

the subtitle edit have the option "auto translate", but i think u gotta do one at a time, you translate it, save the file, translate again, save another file, thas how id do it, but maybe there is some way to do all at once

When I burn the subtitles on a Subtitle Edit and open the video on the phone, the problem does not appear
When I want to burn in the subs in SE, it says FFmpeg?
Is there a way I can move the position of the subtitle?
