I always loved OG Dragon Ball fights. They aren’t just flying in the air and spam energy blasts for the entire time. My favorites are definitely Goku vs Krillin, Goku vs Jackie Chun, Goku vs Demon King Piccolo, Goku vs Tien, and DEFINITELY Teen Goku vs Piccolo Jr.
My favourite top 5 original DB fights: 1. Goku vs Piccolo (23rd Tenkaichi Budokai) 2. Goku vs Tien (22rd Tenkaichi Budokai) 3. Jackie Chun vs Goku (21rd Tenkaichi Budokai) 4. Goku vs Krilin (Tournament fight) 5. Goku vs King Piccolo I also want to note that the original DB had a very unique and grounded combat system that was not used in future projects. I hope you won’t forget to make a video on Dragon Ball franchise, you’re great at talking about the topic and getting people interested in the arguments for and against it. Thank you for making them for us!
Respect for the OG Dragon Ball is something I'll always love I wish some fans didn't have the idea this series was always "dangerous space aliens and super saiyan change"
Happy to see some fights getting a lot of the recognition they deserve I am happy to see Roshi Vs Ktillin and Tien Vs Yamcha ranking high as those are some great fights that I see no one talk about
One thing i loved about the OG Dragon Ball is that the fights weren't always one sided beatdowns. Especially later in the series. Even Krillin and Yamcha got a few really good fights. DB did the back and forth in the fights much better than most of Z or Super.
OG Dragon Ball has a special place in my heart. I never realized how short it was until I actually finished it, and man, I wish it was longer. After they start doing stuff in outer space and introduce Saiyans abd everything there's just no going back, everything they fight from then on is some supernatural beings who are a threat to the universe, save for the two tournaments in Super. In DB Classic, there's not actually that much "saving the world" stuff involved. Sure, they fight the Demon King and the RRA, but there's never as much emphasis on how they are threats to the entire world. It's so much simpler and I wish we had it for longer before Z came in and overcomplicated EVERYTHING.
I like in the one handed kamehameha just before goku takes off there is a small movement of the beam forming with the rings. That little tension just before the explosive force of the wave propels goku always feels satisfying
Your channel is too underrated. Your videos are super interesting but you have only 4k subscribers!! I hope you'll have 100k subscribers next year, waiting for more videos (and GT fights)😊
Honestly if you were going to include all those one hit preliminary fights you should have included others, like Goku throwing Bulma's car and tanking her small arms fire or Chichi decapitating and blowing up a large therapod.
Goku vs Piccolo Jr will always be my 2nd favorite fight in all of Dragon Ball and easily the best OG Dragon Ball fight , incredibly paced , very high stakes , great animation , competitiveness , skills and technique , crazy displays of durability and courage, climactic finish, this fight had it all. It definitely has a place among the greatest anime fights .
Best fight of the series in my eyes is Jackie Chun vs. Goku, Tao Pai Pai, Tenshinhan vs. Goku (22nd Budokai), or Piccolo Daimao vs. Goku (either confrontation).
Goku vs Girin doesn't have all that foreshadowing in the manga, so it's anime filler messing with your expectations. Though I don't actually think it's underwhelming either way.
Finally got to making this video. Lmk where you would rank some of these fights!
I know this is about OG Dragon Ball, but monaka vs hit was the best fight throughout ALL the animes
😭😭

OGDB goated! Ground battles look so much better
Edit: hope they will use a TON of ground battle in Daima
Goku vs woods 👌very first fight

What if Goku didn’t hold back against chichi
DB was SO MUCH better than super
