Easter Cake Recipe | How to make a dry cake moist

  • This Easter cake recipe is taken from an old cookbook.
    I baked it for the first time.
    The cake is crunchy outside and soft inside.
    It is dry, but it goes well with tea or coffee.
    How You can make a dry cake moist:
    1. Soak a cake with usual tea
    2. Add a cream
    (for a small cake like this you need 200 gr sour cream 30% fat + 5 tablespoons sugar powder).
    Let the cake cool on the table before placing the cream!
    For this cake I used a small silicone cake mould 10 cm x 22 cm.
    Baking time, 35 min, 200 (C) degrees.
    Ingredients
    eggs (3 large or 4 small)
    all-purpose wheat flour 150 gr (1 cup, not full) + a pinch of salt
    baking powder 8 gr
    margarine for baking 100 gr
    white sugar 5 tablespoons - 75 gr
    dried cranberry or raisins 30 gr - 2 tablespoons
    any nuts 15 gr - 1 tablespoon
    vanilla sugar 8 gr - to sprinkle sugar on top of a cake before baking
    (to caramelize the top).
