This thing is horrendous,,,,roll on the Majestic Q400,,,,thanks for taking the time to make this series anyway, don't think I would have got off the ground without it,,, i'll go back to my 146, sooo much simpler😂
Thanks, the short videos covering specific topics would be very helpful especially when coming over from A320 - just to clarify a few things new when it comes to the ATR. I'm very curios to know if anyone feels like the airplane banks to the left often while hand flying and you constantly need to correct it.. would it be expected behaviour from propeller planes?
If the props are synced then no it shouldn't do that - would be worth double checking to ensure both your aileron and rudder trims are reset to zero before takeoff
@@AdminVortex762 why is it putting people off? I've not once used a keybind for any Hdg modes etc, I want to actually click it myself and then see it activate
I'm having an issue where because im doing a short field take off i need ramp power but i always get a config master warning, is that normal or do i need to configure smth to remove that warning?
@@BritishAvgeek I’ve been trying to calibrate the ramp and notch. I just can’t figure out what the numbers are for. I can’t control the throttle it just sits at FI. Do the numbers need to be lower or higher for ramp in order to apply max throttle mid cruise, for example.
No idea - but RAMP is for go arounds and Notch is the main power setting for takeoff, climb and so on in normal circumstances - check out my Ramp, or Notch? Video on that later in the series 🙂
@@BritishAvgeek Full disclosure I asked another guy on youtube an real life ATR pilot and this was his answer it's good to know: @FlywithMagnar @FlywithMagnar 5 days ago The power levers move freely until they reach the Ramp position. This gives 100% power. From here on, there is a resistance, like you pushing an object up a ramp. When pushing the power levers further, they will reach the wall, where you have 115% power. This is for emergency use only.
Dude... You helped me soooo much with your tutorials, checklists and all the things around that... Thank you very much! Keep up the work mate!
Appreciate hearing it :)
Always useful !

🤣 I quite enjoy this - notwithstanding its quirks and issues of course though
@@BritishAvgeek I probably need to give it more time,,,been spoiled rotten by the quality of Just Flights aircraft,,thanks again though
Really useful episode ! Thank you !
Thanks!

These are great. Could you do a quick video on keybinds like HDG Hold, Alt Hold, VS, Bug increments etc because I can't find them anywhere.
Keybinds? I don't use keybinds for them, I manually select them
@@BritishAvgeek Oh apparently they’re not in the aircraft. Which is putting many off buying it.

@@BritishAvgeek Me too but I like to have options. Just can't understand why it wasn't implemented.
I was a proficient SIM pilot in the Dash 8 q400 in P3D. Is there any point in looking at this in MSFS. To me it looks like it's got many bugs?
I enjoy it - even with it's bugs

It'll mean you've not set up the aircraft properly somehow
I can’t get them to move (xbox) it just sits at the green where it says Fl. I can’t get past 180 kts (255 tas)
you'll need to look at your throttle calibrations in the ATR EFB

Why does ATR call this detent RAMP?
