Just remember that, par the industry, there is no 100% guarantee when you're going after grants. Therefore you're aiming for the the highest likelihood of success and someone (either within your organization or as an outside consultant) to guide you through the process (from outreach to hitting submit) that knows what they're doing. You're paying for expertise to get you the best result. You're not paying for a guaranteed win because it's an unrealistic standard in the grant world. Does that make sense?
