I know of the SBIR and grants, but I've not done one. I'm happy to reach out to some of my grant-writing professional groups I'm involved with to get you some people with more experience, if you like? I would love to do one of these, though, because I love the mission of the SBIR/grant program (obviously - we've started several small businesses!) You mean to a nonprofit that serves ex-convicts? I would just research grants that serve that population and read their criteria.
