The thought of starting fresh again in d3 doesn't bother me honestly. I never played this game to grind the same activity over and over in the hopes of getting a perk on a weapon that gives me a slight buff to my build. I've achieved all I wanted in this game and just play it with my friend while we chat. It's a nice white noise for me. Creating a d3 could allow me to get more friends into the series and i'm all for that.
I’m right there with you, I’ve enjoyed the game for its story, raids and dungeons, and the sandbox, further evolutions of all 3 of those and more at the cost of a fresh start is more than welcome to me.
Im not gonna lie, a 3 year cycle like D1 would've been perfect, sure some people hate having to buy a game over and over, but Destiny 2 has been going on for way too long imo
Sony says they want Destiny to be a complete story from beginning to end. I lowkey hope they combine the games and let me have all the content I paid for.
They could split it into 'Destiny Online' and 'Destiny - The Complete Saga' , sort of like a hybrid GTA style where players can choose to download the story version, or download the online play version, or both.
Yeah ngl I think it’s time for a 3rd. I don’t mind starting over if it means new players will get to have a chance at playing the game properly. I.e no missing content
If I'm understanding you correctly you want millions of people to just restart years and hours of content over I mean that's fine for you but that won't fly for everyone especially people who have been playing for over a decade there is something to be said about burnout and something I always say to people in these situations "what makes you think destiny3 will be any different than destiny 2" as it would be so easy for Bungie to use d2 as the base and build off that essentially changing nothing I really don't understand people's faith in companies in this way money will always be what matters most to a company not what the players want or think altho I suppose this ignorance or misunderstanding is how we get here to destiny 3 SMH
@@emmanuelwil-jeff I’ve been playing since 2014 and let me just say that it doesn’t matter how many new DLCs they add to destiny 2 or how many new guns they add. It’s still the same base game from 2017. I think it’s time for something new at least in like a few years.
@@emmanuelwil-jeffthat’s exactly what happened with destiny 1 though so your point is invalid. A fresh start in d3 would bring more people back into it, d2 at this moment is pushing people away, such a shit state the game is in rn
@@jonathanmorris2283 then mabey think about the people who play d2 day in and day out BCS common sense would say well we are playing the game still with decent to high numbers so why should Bungie think a d3 is needed when d2 is doing so well as well people are buying silver etc I will say IMO you and people like you are holding out for something that well never come in true it doesn't matter if you or 10 ppl think we need another game Bungie will do what they were going to do
@@emmanuelwil-jeff d2 ain’t doing good though 😂 stop lying to yourself bud. D3 is what is needed to get more people to play the game, they don’t give two rats about its loyal player base as they fucked it over how many times.
@@orb-o-ponderer I'm not against d3 I just don't wanna do the whole song and dance again where they release a game and it is disappointing and we have to wait 2 years before it's actually worth playing and then they have fomo so all that old content is gone etc etc. I'm just tired.
Destiny 1 was the best the rest was bad bc all they did was copy all the weapons and enemies and put them on destiny 2. That was bungie down fall on destiny
I liked the post apocalyptic feeling of d1, but d2 feels like this hyper dopamine rush style that I can’t play, 9:00 for example. Hopefully d3 settles for a style that is post apocalyptic yet fantasy, which I think kings fall is an example of
Idk Europa and the tangled shore felt like that. Shadowkeep was pretty creepy, and when the duality dungeon came out. I think it's a good mix of post-apocalyptic and fantasy. We're talking about space magic. Not everything we guardians roll up in needs to be in ruins. Lightfall was the perfect foundation, but it was lifeless, unfortunately. They got us hyped, and all we did was talk to a couple of striders and previous allies. That and the bugs that actually broke some mission progression
I hope so! New players need to not feel so disconnected. I started playing at Lightfall and I literally feel that I've missed 10 years of this game, every time I play.
Yeah it’s unfortunate and a massive misstep on their part, season of the wish is the 23rd season and any new player can basically only directly engage with the last 4 , 19 seasonal storyline just completely gone, and no red war or curse of Osiris or warming story content, not that the dlc stories were that good but still should all be in the game .
I'm subbing because this was so well done and very informative! I just jumped back into Destiny after a year or so because the latest update seemed refreshing. Deleted all 3 of my characters so I can truly start fresh and I've been loving it so far! Thanks for an awesome video man!
Thank you ! Really appreciate it, I've thought about doing that for my D1 characters to re-experience all the content, would be fun, maybe something for post Final Shape.
Does anyone know if we'll be able to equip the exotic class item along with the 1 exotic armor we already have or we have to choose between the exotic class item and the exotic armor piece like we already do for each exotic It'd be nice if we could add the exotic class item to the build we already have with our 1 exotic armor piece
When it came to Destiny 2 launched and Rise of Iron. Rise of Iron was worked on by devs who had free rain to make quality content. While Destiny 2, on the other hand, Bungie wanted to cater to the massive playerbase who demanded more content back in Destiny 1 and focused on quantity content over quality. A Bungie dev even stated that Destiny 2 isn't meant to be good, it's meant to be a quantity content game. Because there were players who didn't like the content drought, casual players didn't like to grind for that god roll legendary and didn't want to grind exotics. Bungie made Destiny 2 that casual quantity content game. While the devs who worked on Rise of Iron again had that free rain to make it *quality.* Everything about Destiny 2 launched was intentionally, and when Activision saw that they had multiple studios come together to work on *Forsaken.* Bungie knows they have to make quality content DLC for the *Final Shape* or Bungie as a whole will have to be reworked, and people will end up being fired. If Bungie can't get rid of this mentality of quantity over quality and ignore the playerbase who demand quantity over quality. Because they can't just play a different game or touch grass and understand the necessity of content drought. Finale Shape will be a bad DLC and Destiny 3 will be a bad game with all the same generic seasonal content with decent story telling. Also, I think if Finale Shape does do bad..... Sony would likely have Bungie report Destiny Franchise and make Destiny be the franchise it was suppose to be back in alpha destiny 1.
If you would have asked me before last week I definitely would be way less hopeful. Bungie being pretty clear they don’t want to exceed expectations, but new subclasses and a new race of enemies ? That’s big . Hopefully the story and the rest deliver as well.
They did have an animated show in the works, but it was cancelled and the person running the Destiny multimedia efforts left last year. Wouldn't suprise me though if they start it back up under PlayStation Productions.
The whole identity of Destiny was about the Light and Dark. So now what can they do? They can't release the last "Red" darkness subclass anymore, it just wouldn't make sense. All I see is a game with a membership for the die hard fans and a non-membership if they decide to keep it live service.
It would need to be a new entry that just shifts in a major way, prism could be setting up a classless future for d3 , but then that further erodes some player identity. I think they just have a plan though, just hope it’s not relying on episodes with no major releases for too long.
@@orb-o-ponderer I think your faith in Bungie is misplaced as is anyone who wants a Destiny 3 i think if d1 and d2 have shown anything it's that the tried and true formula works for better or for worse im not saying one cannot hope but I also believe it's a waste i mean all you have to do is look at destiny 2 or marathon the other game people keep forgetting exists for some reason smh to each there ig :P
@@emmanuelwil-jeff you make good points, a lot of my excitement hinges on them delivering on final shape, and while I think they will, myself and everyone else who plays destiny still knows just how bad things have been and nothing is guaranteed in the way of quality .
While identity is about space, science fiction mixed with magic and stuff. Even without light and dark we can still be the good guys fighting the bad gods I don’t see a problem
I’ve been a Destiny player since almost day 1. I followed other players since the beta, a d started playing about a month after its release. I was never a super hardcore Destiny gamer, and I’m not the hardcore gamer I was in my 20’s and early 30’s, but Destiny has been, and continues to be my main game since it came out. I play other games, but I chose to play Destiny over the rest about 7/8 times out of 10. I only get the chance to play a few hours a week, and usually it’s on a Sunday night, since I don’t have to work on Monday’s, but I guess due to that, I’ve never had the problem of not having story to play, or feeling like I’m just grinding, and waiting for something new. It’s made my view on Destiny pretty positive actually. I hear about all these complaints, but don’t really understand them, because to me, it’s got everything I’m looking for. I enjoy RPG’s the most, followed by FPS, and then traditional adventure games. Destiny gives me all of that. It’s an RPG at heart, built of the frame of an FPS, and is then accessorized, and filled out with adventure type story and exploration. It’s got everything I like, and I don’t play enough to be ever at the point where there’s just grind stuff left to do. I still have so much story content to play, and side quest stuff. I just feel it’s strange to complain about sone of the stuff that people complain about. Just don’t play as much, and you’ll enjoy what it has to offer so much more. I feel in general, people play too much games these days. The amount of hours I see and hear normal people putting into gaming is frankly absurd. 2 to 4 hours a week is plenty, and will always keep you excited to come back to play more, because you will always have stuff to play. I have a good 10/15 games I’m in the middle of playing, and probably won’t finish any of them for a good half a year or more, and I think that’s great! I’m getting my money’s worth, and taking my time just enjoying them leisurely. Which is kind of what gaming should be about. It’s something to do to relax, and enjoy. If you are gaming 15/20/24 hours a week, that’s not relaxing and enjoyable anymore. Your just doing it to waste time. Do you realize what you could be doing otherwise? Like learning to play the guitar, or building/programming computers and hard/software, playing paintball or airsoft, rock climbing, go carting, going to the beach, mountain biking, building and flying fpv drones and/or RC airplanes, or cars, working on/tuning a real car. The list goes on and on. Enjoy gaming, but try to do other things too. It makes the gaming experience so much better, and you’ll find you have less, if anything to complain about.
Destiny 3 my only issue is that now anything I have payed for or earned in destiny 2 will most likely not carry over to destiny 3. I wish it was just destiny with all the content we have had in one game
Honestly destiny needs a social side. Sorry but not sorry it needs something like forge mode from halo. Away to customize modes and create new encounters that would help the longevity of the game. This would not only help destiny but also provide some other than just pvp and pve
How do you think that could happen? And do you think it could be implemented while keeping the same destiny formula or would it change the free style planet traversing kind of hub mission areas?
Was addicted to D1 played D2 religously and then "The Final Shape" which literally just killed it for me if this is Destiny's future they can keep it, they've have finally captured what a true job simulator would feel like. You want that exotic class item be prepared to grind for thirty hours and after all of that we have a raid level activity for you but make sure to go LFG don't worry it's easy just another 30 hours thats all we ask of your life, now I know im exaggerating but really what were they thinking, I play Destiny to shoot stuff not solve some puzzle that when you get wrong or are not fast enough you auto die. Listen I like raiding and their puzzles, but that should be for the raid, i know what i'm getting into but just let the rest be shoot and loot. Not shoot jump to the pillar, punch the scorpion but wait know you need to get the call out, its the dog, go, go, I got it ok, now jump through the vortex theres 5,000 ads but wait you have to clear the puzzle before your gun can shot, hope you got solar protection on the ground is fire, and the taken are everywhere with sheilds that only be broke using the timer and the same element melee! I think I just found my new job is Bungie hiring?
I would love for them to make a “destiny 3” but new IP. I think letting destiny end is the right move but I would love to see same concept on new genre. Like a fantasy Wild West with like mages and weird technology in that art style
Same, the concept art they showed looked like an enemy guardian we could have been fighting, even though I think it’s just concept for us wielding light and dark.
I haven't played D2 since the infinite forest / curse of Osiris lol. If they come out with Destiny 3 I hope they learn from their mistakes which includes not releasing 70 DLCs and rotating existing content.
Reason why I never started D2 is because it's been out for so long, feels like I've missed a million stuff over the years. I'ma just wait for D3 I guess
I stopped playing D2 because I got tired of maxing out power lvl just to have it increased again. I was lost with all the story lines I missed. Also got tired of trying to get great weapon stats. But, I am back so far have been hooked for a week straight. 😎
I don’t anticipate Bungie making that aspect much better. The over monetization seems like a reaction to poor fiscal performance, like the ghost busters items in game ? Those feel so out of place and I can’t imagine anyone rocking a slimer ghost shell ffs
I kinda don't really understand why everyone values a destiny 3 so much? Like realistically besides the hype of a new game, what is there going to be? Yeah a new player experience would be nice but there is quite literally no need for that when it could just be updated in destiny 2. Open world would be cool but that could also just be done in d2, yeah i get it's spaghetti code, but if warframe (an actual free to play game) can pull it off i'm sure d2 can. Like i get the appeal of a fresh start but they are just going to make us regrind for the same weapons, same subclasses, kill the same things, i just don't really see the appeal of starting again it doesn't do anything for the game. D3 overall will just have less content than d2 and all the content from d2 will eventually just come back as 'reprised activates'. Bungie have also put a lot of work into slowing adding technology and upgrading the engine of d2 over the years, it just seems like wasted effort if they're gonna abandon it. I personally think that their best bet is to just rebrand d2 as 'Destiny' and go from there. Maybe i'm missing something but i just feel like anything destiny 3 could be, could also just be done in d2.
I think it’s likely there are technical limitations to what can be achieved in destiny 2, the base level machine that currently runs it is an Xbox one and ps4, any advancements would need to accommodate those. They could certainly drop support for those machines and work from there but it might be engine related that prompts a new game built from the ground up and not on the bones of d2.
bungie understands their game and their game *engine* the best, far better than we do. IF they were to make a destiny 3, i'm sure it would be for a very good reason that we don't understand
Lets hope the missions are better explained in destiny 2 you roam around for months trying to figure out where the mission went and how do you finish it lol
The same ones shitting on the idea of D3 are the same ones who enjoyed hundreds of hours on D2. Makes no sense. I am all for a D3 and will definitely be playing
A new beginning in d3 is needed for bungie. I’m sure current players would have no problem staying on this current engine receiving more updates but it is nearly impossible for bungie to get any new players with the way the game is right now. There is basically no story to follow whatsoever when someone boots up this game for the first time and without any narrative, these players aren’t going to get invested in anything regarding this game. The interface is also extremely complicated, with all these indicators popping up right when they log on. The game needs a story, to ease players into the mechanics as well as to gameplay loop this game has on offer. With endgame being the reward on the other side of the tunnel. Right now, new players basically have access to endgame content the second they get on the game, there’s nothing that really stops new players from doing endgame stuff other than the fact they start it up and proceed to get destroyed by mechanics they don’t understand. If I was the 14 year old me booting up d1 for the first time or the 17 year old me booting up d2 for the first time and I hopped on this journey right now I would be so overwhelmed I wouldn’t play the game. Bungie needs to knock this dlc out of the park to reinvigorate current fans and boost community sentiment. Then they need to release destiny 3 to kick start a new journey but this time hopefully with the good will of new and returning players. But destiny 2 will never get any new fans, a destiny 3 is needed for that to happen
As a new player (1 month prior to Into The Light), while I agree with you, the alternative is to actually explain how to do endgame in D2. I literally had to have an almost hour-long discussion with my friend who's been playing since D1 just to understand how the hell I'm supposed to farm. With weekly rotating dungeons, raids, & exotic missions, certain loot only dropping at certain encounters within raids, and having limits on how & when you farm on an off-week, this shit practically requires a degree just to wrap your head around. I forced myself to play through Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, & Witch Queen, when all I needed to do was play Lightfall, and this was all news to me. That should never happen, especially not after playing through 3 whole expansions.
I have left and have come back multiple times but after the final shape I’m done. It’s over for me I’m treating it the same way I treated the mcu after endgame.
I stopped playing D2 at The Witch Queen, and have had zero desire to play it again. Having said that, the thought of a destiny 3 does get me a little buzzed.
Biggest reason i want d3, bungie hopefully will learn and not rip content from the game on a regular basis, warframe has somehow managed to only ADD to the game for nearly a decade (with the exception of raids, 1 feature that they couldnt get to work right), d2 has sunsetting entire maps, strikes, zones, weapons, perks, game modes and activities, story for anyone whose interested is harder to follow than dark souls lore cause half of it gets tsken out of the game alongside the content, d2 if youve played the whole time and qas there for it all is great, d2 if your new, or dared stop playing for awhile, is a confusing mess Pls give us a d3 and pls have a better plan this time, its fsr too late to stich d2 back together in a cohesive way
Bring back Combined Arms n PvP is all I'm saying will be back on track, Destiny's campaign is whatever at this point. Looking forward to D3 if it exists, which is more than likely or just a streaming service show or animation I'd be down for.
If there is certainly a new title for Destiny being worked on that exists for current gen gaming hardware, you can be sure Combined Arms will more than likely make a comeback to Bungie PvP and now that we know there is a multiplayer focused dev team for Destiny 2 I have no doubt that whatever their cooking up will be implemented in Bungies next game
@@orb-o-ponderer im warlock awoken main but do have has halo master chelf titan build an human warlock an my awoken warlock is son of Queen mara an nephew to uldren sov an my awoken warlock is prince of all awoken people an this just his back ground story that i made up
My problem with having a destiny 3 is that I hope they take their time don't rush it because why should I want to buy the new dlc and earn anything if we lose it all at the start of destiny 3 since Nothing will crossover from 2 to 3 most likely
Its going to be a hard line to walk. I think you carry over titles, at the absolute bare minimum, but also transmogs if they feature in the game, same with exotic ornaments.
Looking back the game wasn't all that great, but still fun since it was something new that I've never tried. It was really that first high. I thank them though, I got laid playing that game (literally with the controller in my hand 😊) Met my GF on that game, so that was nice. We stopped playing D2 some time ago. 🤷🏿♂️ We still bring up Queen's Wrath. For those that don't know, Queen's Wrath came out maybe the month after D1 was launched and had weapons (maybe armor) then never again was it seen. 🙎🏿♂️🥺 Wow
I honestly think Bungie purposely put out info they know will upset the community just so that can have some “good will” from the community for reverting the changes. Think about the Exotic pack they sold a few months ago, the brave weapon time gate, and now the new raid coming out 3 days after the new season. Yeah, mark my words, Bungie will say “We’ve listen to feedback and are now moving the raid to its normal release window.” And the everyone will be like, see guys! They are listening
Yeah 3 days is wild, if it’s truly story related and so they can launch episode 1 the next week on Tuesday I’m not so sure they’ll be able to move it back. Maybe it will work out but right now just looks like an unfortunate schedule.
@@orb-o-ponderer considering the amount of dark patterns in this game already, it wouldn’t surprise me if Bungie use information the manipulate the community too. I could be wrong of course but we will find out shortly. I really don’t see them putting out the raid 3 days after the drop. I love this game either way. I understand that everything has its pros and cons. It would be nice if there were less cons though
im rather disapointed in the new subclass actually, i would be more hyped if they made a new siva subclass and buff the existing ones but in the end its the content that matters the most. Give us alot of different options to spend out time in the game. So many cataclyst for exotic weapons still doesnt exist, more solo content or dou, pvp maps alot more! exotic missions, hidden content and so on.
Yeah I wish they had more custom cosmetics , like hud cosmetics , or on kill effects like the party effect that’s similar to the one from halo that they put into the game during the 30th anniversary update
I've given up on shinys, the normal versions are.just as good. I never get shiny weapons for the weapon I've attuned lol. My first shiny came after about 350 waves lol
The new wild west where everything goes, explore new concepts expand on the idea of Star Wars titan fall let us be whatever we want, open the game to unique ideas and risks stop holding the game back from what it could be.
Has anyone still kept up with cyberpunk 2077? I play destiny 2 because it's just fun messing around and killing time!! Lol A straight on story mode would be epic for a 3rd game, but the "mmo" micro multiplayer online aspect of destiny is still a great style that they shouldn't lose!!
As much as I have issue with it and I've been playing since D1 it has the best gun gameplay out there nothing beats it not Warframe not COD not apex, nothing beats the way gun mechanics work in this game
I truly think if final shape fails, they’re going to halt production. I played destiny since day 1 of d1. Preorder and all. I’ve seen the struggle of this game and it pains me to see something I’ve loved fall so hard. I stopped playing after witch queen. I’m now just waiting to see what the reviews are for final shape before i throw away money again. Bungie please don’t fuck this up
Still has a big player base, even at its lowest point during lightfall( very bad times) , Final Shape is do or die for them. They are definitely missing the mobile market, warframe is gonna do well expanding into it.
This has been said for years honestly. It's still alive. What I don't understand about D2 is that when things are going well, player base is up and the meta in both PvE and PvP is enjoyable, they make too big changes and make the game play a whole different way. Me and my friend played D1 a lot and then played D2 between 2017-2019 sporadically. We then stopped and got back into it during Season of the Chosen when we bought our PS5s. Holy fk we played D2 that season and got to lvl 350+ on the Season Pass. The PvE meta was GREAT, a bit overpowered but you could adapt as a player and PvP was fun with many viable options even with lower content gear. Then they changed the meta HARD, and people just didn't play... We played for a while but the gameplay just wasn't as enjoyable. I'm sure the meta has been good some times since, but the big changes just make it hard to keep up when you don't enjoy them.
destiny 2 is live sevice game just like helldiver 2 an also cod try do to mobile version of warzone aan it failed poorly do to fact that it does players phones so it pointless to make mobile version of consoles games since they downgrade the games on mobile to make it work like remove features that could not work on mobile
I need destiny to fail so Sony can take over and eject the execs. Get destiny be pro consumer and have store like Helldivers or even slightly close to it. Anything is better than the store it has and how expensive it is to get this for new players
Disagree, it’s not coming unless confirmed by Bungie. Random redditor proves nothing, doesn’t matter if he got prismatic correct. Even if in development it could be scrapped at any moment.
Could certainly be scrapped at will, but literally no one spoke to prism by name or functionality except this person on a burner account , you wouldn’t know that stuff without inside knowledge.
Destiny 3 will be a prequel to Destiny 1; Or, a net zero gain for both the Traveler and Witness, and simply restart the wheel again; Or, the history of humans pushed so far into the future, the rebuilding of society, and the subsequent new threat, but we'd have died and need to reacquire all our old powers and weapons. That's the only 3 possible versions of the story that will work narratively.
Not likely they followed through with there ten year plan surprisingly, and I remember how controversial that was back in 2014. The only way we will get 3 is from greed but not anytime soon if it’s even possible. They promised us a ten year plan and they did it they don’t owe us anything anymore
It’s not even greed . It’s cause destiny is an outdated game. Destiny 2 is still making games for old consoles. The graphics are ugly. And every other week the game is imploding. D3 is necessary especially if Sony takes over once final shape fails
Playing this game since the very beginning. Can count on one hand how many times run the raids or did any master or grandmaster content. Destiny is a very lonely game, despite all the new matchmaking system.
I am in the spot where I dont know if I will come back to a Destiny 3. Bungie has lost alot of my trust and will take more than a shiny new paintjob to fix it.
Yeah but it's just all talk though there's no confirmation from bungie. all we know is a couple years ago they said that there was going to be a destiny 3, but they paused development because they want to continue making content for destiny 2. Basically it's up to bungie if they want to babe at this destiny franchise for several years now almost a decade wanted do other projects they don't wanna be tied down to destiny. Don't you remember the whole project matter new game IP from bungee if anything bungee's gonna be more focused on that.
Well they should be able to create this game and it should be one of the greatest games known to man because next to Bungie and destiny and destiny 2 they have made billions of dollars off of the game off of the microtransactions the whole nine yards probably second only to Diablo so they should have the capital to create something that's beyond but they won't we don't know it Also for me I would like them to divest PVP and PVE all PVP weapons and gear stay within that archetype all PvE stays within that archetype A lot of people don't want to do PVP you be surprised how many people whoa with it like I do.
Nothing aside from your name will be carried over to a potential D3. Most of us want new stuff…I don’t want them wasting dev time modeling a chest piece from season 9 that only 20 people care about.
I completed 548 bergusia forges , not including the fails fails from bum blueberries , and they sunset my God rolls . I want three years free content for how they wronged me
theres no destiny 3 and they already said they not making a desstiny 3 they still have alot more after final shape to add in destiny 2 they said so seeing these videos of saying its destiny 3 is annoying asfk
They also used to vault planets, and exotic missions, and campaigns...and weren't missing revenue forecasts by as much as they are at current... Things change.
@@shockilla Not soon, but yes I do. Destiny 2 isn't built to just perpetually add content forever. The whole reason they began vaulting content was technical limitations(i would imagine related to consoles). And even still idk if you played last year we had months of infrastructure issues causing mass disconnects and instability( this is anecdotal evidence but think its relevant) But the bigger issue in my opinion is D2 isn't going to see a surge in new players that will meaningfully impact revenue(something they are struggling with for a while now) unless they can re-engage lapsed players from D2's launch who didn't like it(many such cases) and left. Current playerbase are people who stuck with destiny despite issues. Throw in the leaks from this person who obviously knows something given the prism leak a month before the showcase, and I think D3 is very much happening. And the way Luke Smith speaks "Not the end of destiny 2 and not the end of destiny" if its only going to be Destiny 2 going forward that distinction feels unnecessary. I could be completely wrong and I'll own that L if they reveal what's next and its not a new destiny game but for more players to come in, more revenue, technical advancement of the gameplay and the way the game is made and operates on modern hardware; I don't see how that is possible without an entirely new game, and them just perpetually adding to destiny 2.
@@shockillasince it’s SONY they probably gonna push it as a PS6 release game with higher memory so Bungie doesn’t go full acoustic deleting payed content
Haven't completed a day 1 raid since vow because everyone I used to play with doesn't hop on at all anymore. Destiny is dying. Lfg ain't the same. Joined a lfg yesterday who were on pantheon for 7 hours and at planets for 4 until I joined. I get we have new people but not completing day 1 raids has been a let down. Also this guardian level. After it first came out and grinded to 11 realizing it resets every season I just stick to (exemplar 7) and how certain LFGs say minimum 10-11 I just skip past them because it's obviously a skill issue they have. Got kicked from master rhulk because I was like 5 under light level when they didn't realize it puts everyone at 1820 (at the time) next lfg was about to kick me but decided to say fuck it and kept me on. Guess who was the only one alive in the end? Me. Lol. The only Arc hunter with a bunch of wellocks and titans.
Destiny 3 is doomed to disappoint. You know how crazy they will have to be to give a fresh take? And how subjective that crazy will be? The community will be split between staying on D2 and moving to D3 just like division was.
🤣🤣🤣me being a die hard all I ask for is more content like the missions is the same when the world is too large for us to be goin to the same spots and doin different things is irritating like why did yal take all the content we had that’s a robbery but destiny still lasted longer then halo 🤣🤣 that’s a dub I think we crying about being spoiled they simplified it instead of making it diverse that’s it this game still is one of the most games played
I hope d3 isnt so money orientated especially with cosmetics, i hope they allow us to earn much more gear and shaders rather than resulting in buying most of it, abit more like d1 tbh that was my destiny so far
Same, the over monetization I think has been a massive issue. I first noticed it in garden of salvation raid release when the ship and sparrow that most resembled the raid was something being sold in the eververse shop the same week as the raid release and not something people earned from completing the raid . They need to reduce all the monetization , and also lower prices, the armor crossovers are cool, $20 per character set though is way too much, Fortnite level pricing.
I'm never coming back I paid for content that I don't get to play and they story line gaps and events I 've missed in the past 3 years there's no way I can come back and be satisfied! ✌
Oh and if Sony takes over Bungie, you all can kiss it good by to an overseas acquisition made by a subsidiary to Russian oligarch. Well at least that is how Sony did their computer game development division in the past lol.
Just the amount of money u have to pay for all dlc’s is too much imo. I played destiny 1 alot and destiny 2 up until forsaken. But just to get into the story feels like a slog. Especially with locations and quests missing, resources u have to collect etc etc its too overwhelming. Also the amount of microtransactions for cosmetics wich u should be able to earn by playing the game. So many choices were made that didnt sit right with me. Im just sad because i feel like the destiny series could have been a legendary masterpiece. It definitely had so many things right. One of my most fun i had in games was in destiny. But once again a great game is ruined by corporate greed.
They made all the dlcs free to play today pre final shape which is cool but they haven’t ever offered a good value alternative like a cheap bundle to get into the game, it’s one of their biggest mistakes .
@@lukeuntld072v3yeah, it’s temporary access , supposed to just be until final shape, so people can caught up without spending money, but if you want access beyond the expansion launch you gotta buy it.
Fans are going to have a lot less patience for a bad d3 launch. Why would they want to wait aroubd AGAIN for bungie to get the stuff together. Bungie should not even attempt a third destiny if they cannot deliever a top tier launch.
Spot on brother
Wishful thinking. It's more likely Bungo will be absorbed into PlayStation Studios and will cease to exist. There is no Destiny 3.
I have 6589h in this game stop playin it 8 week ago and I’m m not going to TUCH this game more not ever f…. Them I. The ass
the fact that you made this video so professionally with only 352 subs is almost criminal

Very kind of you both to say , really appreciate it 🙂
I think he is better than alot of content creators that have millions of subscribers
Sony says they want Destiny to be a complete story from beginning to end. I lowkey hope they combine the games and let me have all the content I paid for.
would require way too much storage for players. Consoles couldn't handle what would end up being 500+GB unless you only wanted 1 game.
@@newax_productions2069so let players have optional downloads
What should have happened is 3 games spanning a decade. It's over folks. Bungie is finished and will be absorbed into PlayStation Studios.
They could split it into 'Destiny Online' and 'Destiny - The Complete Saga' , sort of like a hybrid GTA style where players can choose to download the story version, or download the online play version, or both.
Man, the taken king was so good. I miss that moment in destiny, heavy ammo and special ammo synths. Was a great time
Yeah ngl I think it’s time for a 3rd.

D1 launch: bad
D2 launch: bad
Third times a charm? Nah bungie has lost too much of my trust.
I think a lot of people feel this way, its why Final Shape would have to deliver in spades for people to want to show up for a D3.
@@orb-o-ponderer I'm not against d3 I just don't wanna do the whole song and dance again where they release a game and it is disappointing and we have to wait 2 years before it's actually worth playing and then they have fomo so all that old content is gone etc etc. I'm just tired.
Same, I'm not eager to repeat launch D1 or D2, if D3 is bad at launch, i'll probably avoid it until its good again and save myself the time.
The thing is i would hate to lose all the work ive put into my characters
I'm subbing because this was so well done and very informative! I just jumped back into Destiny after a year or so because the latest update seemed refreshing. Deleted all 3 of my characters so I can truly start fresh and I've been loving it so far! Thanks for an awesome video man!
Thank you ! Really appreciate it, I've thought about doing that for my D1 characters to re-experience all the content, would be fun, maybe something for post Final Shape.
I want them to add cabal playable
Does anyone know if we'll be able to equip the exotic class item along with the 1 exotic armor we already have or we have to choose between the exotic class item and the exotic armor piece like we already do for each exotic
It'd be nice if we could add the exotic class item to the build we already have with our 1 exotic armor piece
It’s supposed to be the class item is your singular exotic armor at current, since it will have to exotic effects .
While the devs who worked on Rise of Iron again had that free rain to make it *quality.*
Everything about Destiny 2 launched was intentionally, and when Activision saw that they had multiple studios come together to work on *Forsaken.*
Bungie knows they have to make quality content DLC for the *Final Shape* or Bungie as a whole will have to be reworked, and people will end up being fired.
Sony would likely have Bungie report Destiny Franchise and make Destiny be the franchise it was suppose to be back in alpha destiny 1.
the thing is there has to be a reason they wont tell us about episodes now so that could imply some good things
good video.👍 Last time we'd stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars.
Man... you got a lot of hope?
I'm a jaded older gamer, but I too, want to believe your optimism, in Bungie, is well placed.
If you would have asked me before last week I definitely would be way less hopeful.
Bungie being pretty clear they don’t want to exceed expectations, but new subclasses and a new race of enemies ? That’s big .
Hopefully the story and the rest deliver as well.
You talk like a wise old sage. Pretty cool.
they are working on an extraction shooter idk ab D3
I believe D3 is on the way. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony goal is to expand into movies or shows. D3 would be the catalyst to this expansion.
Nah it's not coming because they are continuing the story in d2 after final shape not the end bud

Good video man. Keep it up

This would not only help destiny but also provide some other than just pvp and pve
forge would be dope, would need a server browser while they're at it, and integrate it into a fireteam finder type menu.
How do you think that could happen?
And do you think it could be implemented while keeping the same destiny formula or would it change the free style planet traversing kind of hub mission areas?
i played alot and then stop after they announced the last wish, bc I want to do all of the raids together like a movie experience.
I have grinded d1 and d2 so hard that I will never reach the same point I am at now on a new game
I know we got the light hive and all but I really want to fight a actual guardian that has turned to the darkness l, that would be cool imo
Same, the concept art they showed looked like an enemy guardian we could have been fighting, even though I think it’s just concept for us wielding light and dark.
Where did you get that thumbnail? It looks sick
Made the thumbnail myself but the screenshot is an official one, I’ll find it and reply with the link.

Good video man 👍, subbed you deserve more
Thanks for the sub!
Reason why I never started D2 is because it's been out for so long, feels like I've missed a million stuff over the years. I'ma just wait for D3 I guess
Id love to start destiny...from scratch ❤❤
awesome quality you earned a sub

I stopped playing D2 because I got tired of maxing out power lvl just to have it increased again. I was lost with all the story lines I missed. Also got tired of trying to get great weapon stats. But, I am back so far have been hooked for a week straight. 😎
Destiny is killing itself with extreme monetization
I don’t anticipate Bungie making that aspect much better. The over monetization seems like a reaction to poor fiscal performance, like the ghost busters items in game ? Those feel so out of place and I can’t imagine anyone rocking a slimer ghost shell ffs
Corporate greed ruins what could have been a legendary masterpiece
Wow I forgot that the voice narrator for our Ghost has changed 😢
It didn't. That's the guardian talking
I just want ALL the previous content to be released at the end.
My tinfoil hat theory is we’ll get the old planets they took with season of arrivals back when the witness is defeated .
You the mvp cuz 🎉🎉 best described video!
D1 with d2 amount of content would be amazing
@@orb-o-ponderer an if they going to add new features it will be most likely on ps5 an xobox series x
bungie understands their game and their game *engine* the best, far better than we do. IF they were to make a destiny 3, i'm sure it would be for a very good reason that we don't understand
@@fayeknd that very true but in mean time they still update an add dlc conent to destiny 2 an they could keep doing that even if they made Destiny 3

Biggest reason i want d3, bungie hopefully will learn and not rip content from the game on a regular basis, warframe has somehow managed to only ADD to the game for nearly a decade (with the exception of raids, 1 feature that they couldnt get to work right), d2 has sunsetting entire maps, strikes, zones, weapons, perks, game modes and activities, story for anyone whose interested is harder to follow than dark souls lore cause half of it gets tsken out of the game alongside the content, d2 if youve played the whole time and qas there for it all is great, d2 if your new, or dared stop playing for awhile, is a confusing mess
Pls give us a d3 and pls have a better plan this time, its fsr too late to stich d2 back together in a cohesive way
GIVE US SPLIT SCREEN COOP PLEEASSE
Not sure why I should care about Destiny 3 when I don’t care about either of the other 2.😂
Bring back Combined Arms n PvP is all I'm saying will be back on track, Destiny's campaign is whatever at this point. Looking forward to D3 if it exists, which is more than likely or just a streaming service show or animation I'd be down for.
Combined arms was awesome, we need more big team battle energy in the game again.
I like playing Destiny 2 still…. It’s not the evolution of first person shooters I imagined, but I imagined better internet connectivity
Without recovering the RedWar campaign it will be difficult to attract new players, who would want to buy a game that is missing the beginning?
It’s one of the smoothest and graphically stunning games in existence! It’s hard to deny this game tbh?

Its going to be a hard line to walk. I think you carry over titles, at the absolute bare minimum, but also transmogs if they feature in the game, same with exotic ornaments.
And NOT scrap the original story like D1 and maybe D2.
Looking back the game wasn't all that great, but still fun since it was something new that I've never tried.
It was really that first high.
I thank them though, I got laid playing that game (literally with the controller in my hand 😊)
Met my GF on that game, so that was nice.
We stopped playing D2 some time ago. 🤷🏿♂️
We still bring up Queen's Wrath.
I’m surprised at how little they’ve done with diva in d2, it’s strange .
D2 graphics is outdated with much content locked behind “have friends or go home”
Looks better than many games today. Most games are just blurred, dithered trash.
It looks good still but it needs more matchmaking like for legend difficulty.
they have spent years making this game better than the dumpster fire it started as i just dont want to go through that again praying it will be good
Looter shooter should be 3rd person, what’s the point of gear shaders if you can only see ur hands
Yeah I wish they had more custom cosmetics , like hud cosmetics , or on kill effects like the party effect that’s similar to the one from halo that they put into the game during the 30th anniversary update
It took me MULTIPLE 50 wave clears to get 1 SHINY Heavy GL and it DOESNT EVEN HAVE ENVIOUS BAIT so fuck this ENTIRE event bungie does RNG *WRONG!!!!*

Will it be as unplayable as 2 was?🤔
I see nothing to bring me back as of yet
Bungie has stated that there will be more to the story after tfs. But there won’t be a D3 and Bungie has said no d3
They also said at one point lightfall was the last expansion in this saga, then we got an update that TFS is coming , plans can and often do change
Has anyone still kept up with cyberpunk 2077?
I play destiny 2 because it's just fun messing around and killing time!! Lol
A straight on story mode would be epic for a 3rd game, but the "mmo" micro multiplayer online aspect of destiny is still a great style that they shouldn't lose!!
New sub bro God bless you
As much as I have issue with it and I've been playing since D1 it has the best gun gameplay out there nothing beats it not Warframe not COD not apex, nothing beats the way gun mechanics work in this game
I can't even get out of the cosmodrome.
Bungie please don’t fuck this up
Destiny 2 is already dying bruh, too many paid DLC. meanwhile warframe is just starting to break into mobile market
An yet most ppl wount play that game too
I need destiny to fail so Sony can take over and eject the execs. Get destiny be pro consumer and have store like Helldivers or even slightly close to it. Anything is better than the store it has and how expensive it is to get this for new players
I’ll buy it a few years after it’s vanilla launch
Probably a safe bet
Cheatstiny is a great game
destiny 3 will just be like destiny 2
The final Straw!
If they do D3 i'm out cuz bungi will resale the same game...
@@Kyubii01This is just false. The game doesn’t look bad at all.
@@th9986 Its a matter of opinion. to me the game can look better. in 2024. destiny2 got 2014 graphics
@@Kyubii01 Except it objectively doesn’t. Look at d1.
@@th9986 It objectively does. look at any recent cod
I’m wrapping it up..doing the final story and the ten year plan so nah to D3
I played both destiny 1 and 2. Now, new other one?? I am going to pass it
Playing this game since the very beginning.
Im a day one player and will ride to the end. Idc what anyone else says
Well they should be able to create this game and it should be one of the greatest games known to man because next to Bungie and destiny and destiny 2 they have made billions of dollars off of the game off of the microtransactions the whole nine yards probably second only to Diablo so they should have the capital to create something that's beyond but they won't we don't know it
Also for me I would like them to divest PVP and PVE all PVP weapons and gear stay within that archetype all PvE stays within that archetype A lot of people don't want to do PVP you be surprised how many people whoa with it like I do.
Nothing aside from your name will be carried over to a potential D3. Most of us want new stuff…I don’t want them wasting dev time modeling a chest piece from season 9 that only 20 people care about.
Im less confident they'd carry over xmogs, I do think they would bring over titles though.
As it should it's a completely different game universe mechanics the whole nine yards That's exactly the way it should be
I completed 548 bergusia forges , not including the fails fails from bum blueberries , and they sunset my God rolls . I want three years free content for how they wronged me
They’re unsunsetting weapons now ! We need the raids and planets back tho
theres no destiny 3 and they already said they not making a desstiny 3 they still have alot more after final shape to add in destiny 2 they said so seeing these videos of saying its destiny 3 is annoying asfk
They also used to vault planets, and exotic missions, and campaigns...and weren't missing revenue forecasts by as much as they are at current...
Things change.
@@orb-o-pondererso u really believe there will be a destiny 3 huh?
@@shockilla Not soon, but yes I do.
Destiny 2 isn't built to just perpetually add content forever. The whole reason they began vaulting content was technical limitations(i would imagine related to consoles). And even still idk if you played last year we had months of infrastructure issues causing mass disconnects and instability( this is anecdotal evidence but think its relevant)
But the bigger issue in my opinion is D2 isn't going to see a surge in new players that will meaningfully impact revenue(something they are struggling with for a while now) unless they can re-engage lapsed players from D2's launch who didn't like it(many such cases) and left.
@@orb-o-ponderervaulted payed content
All my old fireteam are saying the same, until destiny 3 comes out they won't be back.
Yeah , don’t blame them, it’s gotta be a real evolution of destiny to bring people back in.
@orb__O__ponderer yeah I won't be back until the dlc, no long now, see where there going with this one.
Im about to download d2.. again.. aint played it for 4: years 😂😂😂. Is it worth it 😂😂😂
If you play the new dlc yes
I gave up with this years ago. So little content, so much repetition. So little point.
It had great potential but what a let down.
@@orb-o-ponderer wait really? Thats actually great
But prayer to the people who spend 200 euros on dlc tough🤣
@@lukeuntld072v3yeah, it’s temporary access , supposed to just be until final shape, so people can caught up without spending money, but if you want access beyond the expansion launch you gotta buy it.
Fans are going to have a lot less patience for a bad d3 launch. Why would they want to wait aroubd AGAIN for bungie to get the stuff together. Bungie should not even attempt a third destiny if they cannot deliever a top tier launch.
I’m if they don’t deliver on final shape, d3 is cooked
