The mechanic I found was to follow the wind direction. To test this I backtracked through the lit torches and when approaching the next torch, you'll notice the wind direction change to point to the torch you were just at. After you reach the 2 torch checkpoint (search tree for chest), you'll have to either walk slowly, or stop periodically to check the wind direction. It will eventually lead you through to the Korok Forest entry. Having a torch will help see the wind direction easier and the wind change, when it happens, is quite abrupt.

I know it’s been three years since you posted this but I know the mechanics of it. Notice how all of the embers flow from all the fire sources. Replaying this awesome game and the reason why the torch is there is because after you light it, you have to follow the direction the flame blows towards. You welcome 🕵🏻 (Sorry if anyone has already made this observation.)
You follow the embers coming off of the torch and it will lead you. Also if you look closely the grass flows the same direction the embers go. Basically you are following the wind to where you need to go.
I did mine in like 4 days, you could actually do it in like 6 hours. You only need 40 shrines. But this comment doesnt matter because you commented this a year ago. So f me.
I only need two more hearts and I already have 3 spirit orbs I’m so hyped for the master sword oh and don’t forget I have two more divine beasts remaining (;
Andy Le no, but it after a couple of uses it will need to recharge for a couple minutes to be useable. At least that's what the strategy guide mentioned
in a way Yes in another no it breaks and thwn regenerates after you change weapon and let it regen. basically the hyrule shield and the master sword have a regen ability that whilst powerful shouldnt be used for every fight. this is from someone who only researched it as im not far enough to have 13 hearts and theres no point doing the mastersword quest before that.
I managed to get the Hylian Shield somewhat early. So it's confirmed it does break, but can recharge like the Master Sword? If so that's great. I was worried about losing it at some point.
No matter how many times I watched your video I don’t know how many times I got lost but It took me forever to get through the lost woods to finally get to the korok forest I already got the master sword I activated 1 of the shrines no more getting lost Thanks for your help I never played breath of the wild before I’m still learning this game
I'm sure maybe someone might have said this, but keep the torch with you, and follow the direction that the embers from the fire goes. That will get you through the Lost woods, Shame Austin didn't know this.
This is actually a call back to the very first Zelda game. Granted their isn't an official master sword in said game, but in order to get the game's strongest blade you also have to go through a forest maze in the North, and have to have so many hearts before you can weild it.
dude misleading title it should be "How to find the Master Sword." not how to get it because you only showed the location and didn't actually recieve it
you can use the torch as a guide to know where to go, just stand still every now and then and see where the fire particles go with the wind, that's the direction you need to follow
the wind will blow toward the entrance of korok forest, you can stop for a while and check which direction the sparks of the torch point, then simply follow.

13 hearts? Ain't nobody got time for that.
Its actually easy
I did mine in like 4 days, you could actually do it in like 6 hours. You only need 40 shrines. But this comment doesnt matter because you commented this a year ago. So f me.
I do boi
I only need two more hearts and I already have 3 spirit orbs I’m so hyped for the master sword oh and don’t forget I have two more divine beasts remaining (;
That's a lot of shrines.
I finally got 13 hearts now I just need to get the sword
Good job
Can the master sword break?
Andy Le no, but it after a couple of uses it will need to recharge for a couple minutes to be useable. At least that's what the strategy guide mentioned
in a way Yes in another no it breaks and thwn regenerates after you change weapon and let it regen. basically the hyrule shield and the master sword have a regen ability that whilst powerful shouldnt be used for every fight. this is from someone who only researched it as im not far enough to have 13 hearts and theres no point doing the mastersword quest before that.
CardriderDraw - Level2 so i need 13 hearts to get the master sword?
I managed to get the Hylian Shield somewhat early. So it's confirmed it does break, but can recharge like the Master Sword? If so that's great. I was worried about losing it at some point.
Hylian shield can break, but you can buy a new one in a secret shop
No matter how many times I watched your video I don’t know how many times I got lost but It took me forever to get through the lost woods to finally get to the korok forest I already got the master sword I activated 1 of the shrines no more getting lost Thanks for your help I never played breath of the wild before I’m still learning this game
Just got this game on the Oled switch. So additive lol

Damn didn't say Deku tree, this my hero academia??
What?
Huh?
zelda 1 and 2 had no master sword it first showed up in zelda 3
Its called A Link To The Past
Zelda 1 had a master sword. I believe you got it in the cemetery, under a grave, and needed a certain amount of hearts to get it. Same deal here.
I'm sure maybe someone might have said this, but keep the torch with you, and follow the direction that the embers from the fire goes. That will get you through the Lost woods, Shame Austin didn't know this.
This is actually a call back to the very first Zelda game. Granted their isn't an official master sword in said game, but in order to get the game's strongest blade you also have to go through a forest maze in the North, and have to have so many hearts before you can weild it.
dude misleading title it should be "How to find the Master Sword." not how to get it because you only showed the location and didn't actually recieve it
well, it says it on the description
Jonathon Richert he told us how to get it dumbass
Watched in 2019
Yes
Who is here in 2019?
you can use the torch as a guide to know where to go, just stand still every now and then and see where the fire particles go with the wind, that's the direction you need to follow
the wind will blow toward the entrance of korok forest, you can stop for a while and check which direction the sparks of the torch point, then simply follow.
