Side tool boxes were a factory option. Inside the cabinet that houses the pump was a hole and used a large thumb screw that held the boxes in place. Otherside was the same. When that camper was made they didn't have all that fancy turnbuckles so the camper was bolted through the floor and truck bed.
Ahh...so that is what tailgates are for...long alaskan campers! Forget about thinking where to bolt the camper down...just keep the straps on, it gives it that macgyver appearance! Seriously, the project is coming along well...you'll be able to go just about anywhere in that unit!
Looking good. FYI, Ford uses a bunch of small vacuum lines. I had one controlling my automatic choke that was a pain in the @$$ when it cracked. Keep an eye on them. ALso there's an in-line fuel filter that screws into the carb, keep a spare. Mine went bad while I was camped in a deep valley, truck would only climb part was up the hill before stalling out. It was a bad time and place to find out about that filter. Nothing wrong with having a box of spare parts.
Thanks for the info 👍👍 This one that has only a few vacuum lines, the "emissions stuff" has been deleted 😁. It's blowing some blue smoke on downshifting, thinking it's dry cracked/worn valve guide seals from sitting fir so long.
@@JimmyMeatwhistle Having a truck like that old school 250 is always fun to upgrade. I for one love to revive old trucks and keep them on the road. Cookie cutter trucks with short boxes are not my thing.
Still loving your humorous outlook. Keep up the great work 👍 👏
Swearing of course and bloody knuckles 😂😂 makes it all worth while. Cheers my good bud 🍻

Thanks for the info Harold! Couple videos back I found the floor mounting bolts and holes, I believe there were six on this one.

Looking good man. Need to find that sticker and put it back for another 30 years

Looks great, mate. Can't wait to see her out at camp.
Thanks! Me too 👍
👍 Looks fantastic, i bet you can do Wheelies 🥴✌️
You can get a cb radio and play Smokey and the bandit.nice
I'm going to predict over heating issues 😁 Might as well get a new rad water pump thermostat and hoses. Good insurance while out camping and fishing.
And that's just a start, haha. So far so good, but yes everything should be replaced at some point.

I agree and it's definitely satisfying fixing these old Beasts up
Bloody knuckles and swearing are you sure it’s not a transformer ? A Land Rover in disguise 😂
Hahaha! I had four old series 2a Land Rovers at one time and I was under them 90% of the time and enjoying them 10% LOL
Update of Toyota restoration ?
Not a single Old Milwaukee consumed in that process??????????? 😜
Haha, I make up for it on the next video
Wait what part of Alaska? I live in Wasilla and own a 78 F250
