    I guess I'll have to wait another 13 minutes to go to bed. Nothing like some chains and an old Ford.

    That's spirit just because you only have front wheel drive dosen't mean your fun is over.

  • @brianwinkleblack6817

    It looked like it was pretty much front wheel drive when you started. It was barely spinning the rears when you went in the first snowbank.

    Yeah Brother, You were reading my mind about having an upcoming video about fixing the blown out rear end on the '69 Highboy. You keep your channel interesting for us because you have nonstop education for us to watch as you fix the stuff that is broken. We can't get enough brother! I wish I was your neighbor out there!

    I got a 67 F-350 Dooley with a 352 in the front and a utility body in the back. I'm three years older than my truck and wish I held up as good. Hell I once lost my rear end after a bowl of chili. Love the content can't wait to see more.

    Brings back the memories. I had a 68 highboy 360 4 speed, that truck had 4:10 gears in the front and 4:11's in the rear with limited slip. It would go through about anything, just had to make sure you unlocked the hubs before you hit dry pavement.

    Those old High boys were tough. They all break sooner or later any vehicle. You may get lucky and it's one of the Axles that Snapped. When it was cold that time and it just smoothed the ends up from spinning so they don't grab no more. Great Video Bud .

  • @harryotaint9163
    @harryotaint9163 ปีที่แล้ว

    Daamn man! You gotta lotta faith in those links far below freezing hitting the end of that chain like that! Down here in the hottest part of Arizona I used to be a developer and excavation contractor. The hottest summer we built a subdivision it was into the 120s most days. I would regularly pull out stuck construction vehicles from the sand like a 50k lb water truck on afternoons like that and watch very large chains stretch as I pulled. The links would go from mostly round to the shape of a Ford blue oval in a couple of seconds and you're sitting directly above it on an open cab tractor with nothing between you and the part of the chain that's coming back to you if it breaks...
    Ah. I appear to digress. Sorry.
    Uh, also, dude. That back window won't come between the chain and your head..careful bud. I enjoy your videos very much! Keep up the fun and good work!

    You crazy Alaskan Redneck, that was fun, nothing to worry about, just the spiders went on holiday or maybe long service leave in the case of that old high boy. Your commentary is hilarious "This ship has set sail again" . Where abouts in Alaska are you? Just a latitude would do, just so I can get an idea, I have never seen that much snow in front of me.

    Your trucker buddy once said your name but my short memory allowed me to forget that very quickly. Why of course I did enjoy and will share with guys whom are devoted"Chevy guys" if to nothing else, just p**s them off. I'm also going to share with Junkyard digs who are ford people. I don't want that "southern crowd" showing up in alaska because we have enough snowbirds here. Did you pick (I should know) the rig the 337 should go into? Is it a work in progress? Just a bunch of questions hu?

    You either ate the teeth off of the spider gears or broke the cross pin. Being as it was still one wheel and I highly doubt the ring gear or pinion are to blame. Should be somewhat of a simple fix. Id just gut it and put a mini spool and a chromoly crosspin in it personally if its not limited slip. You would have more in fluid then parts. Some of factory lsd differentials will accept one without issues but some won't 🤷‍♂️ I know a Chevrolet won't but I just put one in my 9in with a factory limited slip and it fit like a glove and works just fine. $35 in parts including an axle seal with shipping and about $40 in fluid

    Nothing like ford to me I have step bed 77 ford f150 straight 6 300 inline t8 4 sp transmission and I kp my maintenance cheap parts and out here upstate NY snow a lot cold like hell sometimes and I can say this she never give me problem to start plus first gear is like 4x4 slow and easy and torque like the mountains I did a couple mods nothing fancy i put short header like a manifold and Toyota carburetor electronic distributor etc old school style hillbilly mountains style and man man she can hustle her way out like I said that t8 transmission work better than 4x4 to me plus she sounds if she is on steroids jjjjj old school people don't believe that she is a straight six 300 inline but ford motors are the best to me special small blocks gd video amigo but I stay with my straight 6 300 inline and the t8 transmission this combination is perfect for any terrain in my opinion
