Looks awesome, proper highboy. We ended up getting that 1970 reef aqua f250 camper special. We body swapped it onto a 67 highboy frame. The highboy was only $250 from the junkyard We go to.
I finally found a '76 disc brake front for my '74. Looking forward to no more leaking knuckles. Love the tires, I run the same size and rim combo on mine.
Possibly easiest and best way to strip wheels would be wet or bead blasting the rims, easier on the hands, I'm 72 and restoring 2 Australian right hand drive high boys, also have original 16.5 " rims with BF Goodrich All terrains 33 x 12.50 R 16.5 but will be using a set of original 16 inch rims off a 2WD dentside F 250. The wheels do look great, congratulations!
@@rossawood5075 I would agree. However we did not know if we would like the look or not. Years of painting for a living taught me a lot, mostly the high quality process Ford used with its state of the art products. I would prefer using the OEM primer and scuff if it is in good condition. Media blasting is far superior than sand blasting. Does not remove any metal or disturb its surface. Great to get feedback on your projects. As last week at F100SuperNationals a fellow Ford truck enthusiast expressed building a RHD Dentside. Cheers Mate.
Beautiful old dentside! The steel rims do set the looks off- another option would have been the classic white spoke "wagon wheels" that were popular in the Seventies. I'm actually considering a set of those on my Oxford white 2015 F-250, since I'm going for an old-school look to her.
I like the those rims on it I am getting a 73 highboy Saturday it’s going need a engine rebuild but I like the color it’s dark blue on the top and light blue on the bottom of the body it’s going to need to be re-painted though but it’s body looks pretty clean
@@southernrevivalautomotivecould you share some images of the transmission and how the tcase shift linkage is mounted to it please? Is there an email i can reach out to or better yet when you have time maybe make a video detailing the specs of the auto highboy because i have never to this day found a video going over these trucks. Thanks
Hello sir, ive been looking for my dads old 75 highboy for a long time now and i think you have it, he gave it up when i was 1 with was 12 years ago like you said since im 13 and i was wondering where you are from? Because my dad said that the guys that bought it off of him were from washington pa
@@Kingsman_VR Hello. I still keep in contact with the guy I bought the truck from. Not from pa. Good luck on your search. I’d put a pic on a post on some fb forums. You might get lucky there.
This has 33x12.50x16.5 aluminum wagon wheels on it when I got it 12 years ago. Used to be my daily driver for many years without any issues. Truck come out of Southern California but I bought it in Chicago
Man I let them go. I will be putting any parts and such for sale on Facebook page in the future. Sometimes change up builds and want stuff out of the way.
It is a new Holley 650. I will try get more info I think it’s the 4160 or 4150. Replaced it with the vintage one that was on there. Ran it for many years without any issue at all.

I have heard a few times over the years from old timers. Pack the closed knuckles with grease instead of oil to help.
@@southernrevivalautomotive Yes, that does help I use 00 weight grease they use on tractors.
I’m not a huge Ford guy. Unless it’s a 75 Highboy. 😍 Same vintage as myself.
Don’t make em how they used to. What make or model is your favorite ?
Pretty tuned in on the Chevys myself….and Peterbilts lol, gotta pay for the Chevys somehow!
Got to fund the hobby! Used to run Pete 379 hood logos off wrecked hoods as my grill logo on my 99’ 7.3 back when I worked on big rigs
My favorite look on any highboy..
No hub caps
Grown to love the look without caps.
I love the factory steel rims. It's my pref.
Keeping the steelies on. Prefer them as well.

I am going with the 255"s on mine too, looks great!
Thanks! Very happy with the 255’s and being a Radial
I had a 1975 identical to that one even same color I wish i still had it
You have great taste. Sequia brown metallic is the color.
What size tires did you put on? Thanks
Does that highboy have a divorced t case with the auto C6? Any videos showing the drivetrain?

That looks fantastic. I'd leave the hubcaps off.
Appreciate it. Decided to leave em off
That truck is in great condition. Just a note, never trust any body parts under a hydraulic jack.
Thank you!! And you are absolutely rite on that
U should find lazy Susan so spin rim easy piant
Good idea. I’ll snag one someday. I have a collection of OEM rims that need painted. To be used as rollers for Revivals
