    A very important note here which is personally the reason I'm opting for the K6.
    The K6 on the sharp rating was all green on the impact zones, meaning it transferred the least force to the head and thus mildy safer than the nxr2 which had side impact yellow zones.
    Both are excellent options though.

    • @mihaipetre4840
      @mihaipetre4840 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The K6 was tested under UN ECE REG 22.05 and the NXR2 under UN ECE REG 22.06 standards.
      So i assume that the NXR2 will be also green on all impact zones under UN ECE REG 22.05 standard and probably the K6 will be weaker under ECE REG 22.06 standard...
      This is just my logical opinion can't say that is true 100%...

      @BySixa 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @mihaipetre4840 the k6s is the ece 22.06 varient.
      I should have been more clear.
      I actually went to the shop with the intention of purchasing the k6s and it didn't fit.
      In the end the perfect fit for me was the arai quantic and I couldn't be happier. It's an epic helmet.

    Amazing vid! If I had to choose between those two helmets, which one would you recommend when driving during the winter?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! There are no specific motorcycle helmets for the winter, but you can prepare yourself for the colder days. When riding in the winter there are some options you should keep in mind to keep your head warm, like a balaclava.

      If you are unfortunate for a need to wear glasses go for Shoei, AGV doesn't have the groves to accommodate glasses or sunglasses. I've tried both, but that's the biggest con of AGV K6.

  • @mnap89
    @mnap89 ปีที่แล้ว

    NXR2 has more round fit so it is wider and K6 will be narrower interior??

  • @jowen85
    @jowen85 ปีที่แล้ว

    My NXR2 whistles at 25-30mph with the visor cracked open. For me the visor would be a -10 at least. It won't stay at one notch, drops shut and has to be constantly fully latched and opened in traffic.

  • @Showmetheevidence-
    @Showmetheevidence- 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So basically 2 great helmets :)
    And therefore it should really come to down to which fits you better!!!
    That being said I'm a huge SHOEI fan, just fits me so well + amazing quality.

  • @MotoGoato
    @MotoGoato 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Shoei for me ... tried the K6 and found that it is just a bit too compact, the chin bar sits very close to the face and was constantly touching my chin and overall the helmet was just a tiny bit too small even in exactly the same size as my previous S4-SV and K5-S (which both fit me just fine). I've now swapped over to the NXR2 which is the best fitting and most comfortable helmet I've worn in over 25 years of riding. The lining is plush with high quality padding and is extremely customisable for fit and comfort should the need arise. The venting is better than the AGVs .. more air onto the inside of the visor and over the scalp. It is lightweight and aerodynamic, stable at silly speeds with little to no lift and minimal buffeting even on a naked bike. It's not perfect though - the visor ratchet could be a lot better .. but it does seal nicely and the central lock is far far easier to use than on the K6 ... and the pads on the chin strap for the double D buckle are very thin with very little padding. Those are things that are easily forgiven when you put on a helmet for the first time and it instantly feels like home, like it was made just for your head 😉

    Amazing vid. what is the benefit of a a 2 dimensional visor?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! 2 dimensional visor ensures that your visor does not distort the view in any way, which curved visors slightly do often.

    I just got the k6 and my issue is with the opening/closing the visor. I press the button and nothing happens. Is it supposed to do that?
    I can hold down the button and pull it up, then it goes into the 'cracked position' (still locked in but a little open), then must do that AGAIN to actually open it.
    Thats VERY difficult to do with
    a) one hand and
    b) whilst wearing gloves (because there is no tab to push open with your finger).

    • @MotoGoato
      @MotoGoato 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I had the K6 I found that pushing the button with my index finger whilst lifting the visor with my thumb (on the same hand) worked the best ... still a pain to get open quickly though. The lock on the NXR2 is much easier to use but the over all visor ratcheting mechanism on the AGV is nicer to use, shame the lock is a little on the awkward side. The little plastic loop part on the AGV visor that engages in the lock can be moved back and forward a little if you undo the screw, adjusting that may help 😉
