Your likely 37 now like me, I remember this show as a kid. Was on HBO I believe like dream on n tales from the crypt. I was watching those shows at 7 lol
Agree. The young people all know those but dont know the greatness of Larry Sanders. I mean young like 25-30 year olds too lol. None of my friends know about this show, and were all in that 25-30 demographic.
It's true! I'm 28 and I thought I knew my comedy, but I hadn't heard of The Larry Sanders Show until a few years ago. And I've still only seen bits n pieces. It's cause we were just a lil too young for it. Just missed it :(
Rofl I love that line at the end. "You're not going to do Arsenio or Leno are you?" - "I have to" - "Fuck." - "Hey it's the business, get used to it. Blow me." This show is awesome.
Man, I was really too young to appreciate this show when it was on--but look at the influence on great shows like Louie and curb your enthusiasm. Definitely ahead of its time.
+Helen Eschenbacher Doesn't surprise me you say he is an ass, he always came off like that to me even when he's playing characters. I'm 25 and knew this was Tambor.
My friend worked on this show and I was blessed to get invited to this taping, because she knew what a huge RW fan I was. Garry was hysterical with me, and Robin was, well, Robin...wind him up and let him go! Also met Howard Stern...amazing man, totally kind and personable. Nothing like I thought he might be in person! I have a picture of Rip Torn, my friend and I at a season wrap party and it's one of my favorite pictures of a perfect time in Hollywood back in the day. RIP Garry, Robin, and Rip!
Here because I just saw Bill Burr on a podcast talking about "Hey it's a business, get used to it, blow me". I need to watch more of the Larry Sanders Show now.
OMG, I didn't know who that Dr. Phil impersonator was until he started speaking! I thought it was a random dude. "There's ALWAYS money in the banana stand!".
Rip Gerry Standling ,Now you can talk to Robim William where every you are if you see my mom she died sane year that Robin did he died 2014"like my mom did,
RIP, two legends.
3 down now
@@Chimp_Assassin What? No?
@@Chimp_Assassin Or are you talking about Rip Torn? In that case.. RIP ...... Torn
"Hey.
It's a business.
Get used to it.
Blow me."
Classic
I think the most understated brilliant sitcom of all time, Shandling, Torn , and Tambor are genius in these roles
Garry: You're not going to do Arsenio or Leno are you? Robin: I have to. It's a business. Get used to it. Blow me.
Why have I not seen this show? I am 30. This is incredible.
One of the funniest American shows ever, almost as good as Sgt Bilko.
Wtf exactly....same here
@@richardwood1575 One of the best sitcoms of all time. Easily Garry Shandling’s best work. HBO should have it.
I hope you've managed to watch it in the last five years, all time great show.

"I don't look like an Irish pimp?" Oh, Robin Williams, you are so missed. So shocked to hear about Garry's passing today. Truly gutted.
1:45 he slipped and said "gary"
Great catch.
You can totally see how this was the beginning of the mockumentary style office sitcom. Influencing The Office, Parks & Rec, 30 Rock, etc. RIP Garry

National treasure indeed, RIP mate. Immortalised in cinema and for being on Larry Sanders.

+Jesse Steck I was too poor to afford HBO to appreciate it. = [
Jesse Steck is your profile pic you and Bill Clinton?!omg
Try and find some garry shandling show stuff
"I don't look like an Irish pimp?" XD
Vote for TV to rebroadcast Larry Sanders Show; it is our civic duty!
I remember as a kid in the early 00s they would show reruns of this show extremely late on Fox.
I thought that was Dr Phil until he started talking. That's Pop-Pop!

I never missed this show when it was on in the 90s. Comedy legends.
Rip Robin Williams 1951-2014 and Rip Garry Shandling 1949-2016 they are 19 months apart
1:45 "Garry..."
"He looks like a 'before' from the hair club ads." LOL
It's crazy how much Jeffrey Tambor looks like Dr. Phil here.
truly thought it was him haha. (hello from 9 years in the future)
R.I.P Robin Williams, Garry Shandling & Rip Torn.
RIP Gary and Robin.
Can't believe they are both gone...now I feel old.
this seriously breaks my heart miss them both
Williams, Shandling...the only silver lining here is that we still have Jeffrey Tambor. We are losing legends every year, and it sucks.
+Rick Evans ... *yikes* I thought that was Dr Phil!
@@ThatCoalSoul hey now!
RIP you two.

What the fuck happened.
Extremely rare blonde Robin
MAY HE WILL REST IN PEACE A WONDERFUL MAN AND A HELL OF A COMEDIAN GOD BLESS HIS SOUL
i think when he says then we'll ask why you got the beard, that must have been improvised judging by the reaction of Williams
Who's here from Bill Burr?
Garry Shandling, RIP
Robin was blond? God he looks majestic
Robin looks like Noel Edmunds here.
Bill burr recommends it I watch it
"...then we'll talk about why you got the beard."
