Hobbies! I love making things. Sewing projects and papercrafts take up the most space. I'll get it all organised and then new crafting stuff comes along and... boom! Messy again.
I've always preferred investing in things instead of experiences, because experiences had the potential to be disappointing or underwhelming, and were a one time thing, whereas buying clothes or makeup or technology had the potential of bringing me joy every time I used them. It took me a while to realise this mindset was rooted in insecurity, and that I was turning to shopping to avoid processing negative emotions. By that time I had become a hermit and my studio apartment was filled to the brim with all the things I'd accumulated, which had lost their initial spark and were now adding extra stress to my life. Plus, what good are clothes and makeup if you never have an occasion to wear them? Since then I've been in therapy for a year, I did a very emotional closet declutter, where I let go of everything that I had been holding on to like security blankets, I moved to a bigger apartment and I'm in the process of decluttering and organizing. I've also limited my purchases and spent a lot more time debating if I need a new item in my life, because I've learn the hard way that every single item we buy will occupy space in our brain as well, and the weight of that is often not worth it.
A little over a year and a half ago I got rid of my 2-year-old queen mattress, box spring, and basic frame (gave them to friends who needed upgrades from very old mattresses) and switched to a Japanese floor pad. It's done wonders for my back and is super comfy. Plus I can literally take my bed with me when I go visit family. They don't need to make up a bed for me because I brought my own lol. My mother still thinks I'm crazy (and she's no pack rat) and sometimes still gets upset because they have to sleep on the air mattress I bought just for their visits when they come, but Dad understands that I'm not keeping a bed that takes up half the space in my bedroom just for their two-weeks-a-year visit. Lol.
I often find that people with lots of things don't value their belongings and don't take good care of them. As a minimalist I have a much clearer vision of what I own and I don't loose things when traveling because everything is valuable to me.
As someone who is a bit older, and therefore space and money aren't really the bottleneck but time is: when you think about that Netflix subscription, don't just think about whether you'll get your money's worth of use out of it. Also think about whether it's worth it to you to spend those 10hrs of your life on the service! Spending a little bit more than €1/hr might hurt you much less than wasting hours upon hours on a service that doesn't really improve your life. Now, I'm not saying that you should never enjoy "silly" or "unproductive" things. But be intentional about how many hours you really want to spend on things. Lifetime is irreplaceable, much more so than money or space in your home.
I love this! One of my reminders of time is "memento mori", in the end we need to think of how we want to be spending our limited time and this phrase has helped me tremendously.
Since the lockdown in my country happened, I searched and saw your channel.I since then watch your videos every single day.It literally helps me clear my thoughts.I learned so much from you. Simple Happy Zen Fantasic video Vera!!! Living like a minimalist is honestly good for the soul. Why clutter your soul with things that don't matter to impress people that don't matter? Living this way has completely transformed my life and how I look at it as a whole. Keep spreading the good word about minimalism because it really is that important to the message out. Great job!!!
Choosing to live more intentionally not only when buying stuff and decluttering, but in everything we do! If it doesn't help us grow and evolve, we have to let it go 🌸
Last year we sold most of what we own and now travel full time in our RV. The experiences WAY outweigh the “things”! Thanks Vera, you are wise beyond your years my dear. 🦋🌹🥰
Hi Vera, once again you hit a home run. I know it is for beginners but it is a reminder for all of us. Great teachers such as Buddha and Jesus were minimalists. Jesus even said to sell belongings and give to the poor. He also said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get to heaven. I am now seeing minimalism as a spiritual journey to get rid of excess baggage both materially and mentally. We try to donate to those less fortunate. From an environmental perspective, if people didn’t buy things that destroy our planet, we would be much better off. There are so many benefits from minimalism. I am looking forward to removing all obsessions and unneeded material items in exchange for a simple and happy life. Thank you once again for sharing something so very important that it can make a positive impact on everyone’s future. 🙂
I’ve been a minimalist for a while and we’re now going one step further by converting a van to live full time out of so we can travel, which is our priority. Also, it means we have a lot less room for ‘stuff’ in general 😊
I went through my suite and decluttered a lot. I now use what I have repeatedly and don't overthink the long term. My rooms are cleaner and I can easily move around and find what I need. Thank you Vera.
Hi hope your ok ? Yes hubby being decluttering the loft as our new granddaughter has arrived 2 weeks ago so being getting some baby stuff down for her then we sorted underneath the bed only found one black black to get rid of to charity that’s better than the beginning when there was over 40 black bags and loads of stuff so glad we keep doing it now and again makes it a lot easier for us xxx
As a highly sensitive person, minimalism has been a life-changing affair for me. From associations to gizmos, from what I consume to what I own, I have become so much mindful of certain things. This video unquestionably helped me take it a step further. Thank you, Vera. I wonder what is the meaning of your name? It is unique.
Thanks so much for sharing! :) I loved it. As for my name, in Dutch it doesn't really mean anything but I hear it could mean 'faith' in some lanuages, and in ancient Latin it means 'true'.
I think I need to search out one of your videos on the mental side of decluttering. I'm an hsp and when I feel overwhelmed, decluttering helps and clutter certainly adds to my stress. Family can't understand and say I need to learn to live with it but I crave visual calm and the clutter brings me to tears. It seems to hold so much power for inanimate objects. It infringes on my mental space, overwhelms my senses and just is a big spanner in the working of a home if things are always in the way! There's a reason they say "a tidy desk, is a tidy mind". That's a perfect example of how i can think so much clearer when my space is clear
This is a great video because so many people are interested in minimalism but don't understand how to sustain it. I gave my girlfriend a lift to the mall because she can't drive right now and i offered because she's a friend in need. Anyway, i was really proud of myself because i kept seeing great things that i thought i needed but resisted the impulse to buy and realized that i really don't need those things. Sometimes it's about self control 😊 i don't always succeed but i always try. Your tip about constant decluttering is spot on. I find that my mind is at first unwilling to allow me to part with things but if i take it slow i find that after a few weeks i'm more at peace with letting that thing go. It's a process and remember to be gentle with yourself.
#7 is so very important! Minimalism is truly a journey and not necessarily a destination. It sometimes is a daily process that can be so very mind-clearing as well. Happy I found your channel. Greetings from Los Angeles!
Hi Vera! I've been watching your videos for about a month now and have gone back and watched most of your older videos, too. I find them really helpful, but even more importantly, INSPIRING :) I've been going through all of the clutter in my home (I have a ton of sentimental items I've accumulated over the years) and whenever I start to feel exhausted or worn down by the process, I watch a couple of your videos and feel motivated again. Thanks so much!
This video was great as always Vera. This journey allows you to be you and you no longer feel the need to impress anyone with your possessions. I am feeling more happiness and gratitude. I will say it over and over you are so inspiring. Thank you for all you do. You have a wonderful weekend. ❤️🙏🏻
Attitude is everything...sounds so simple but it is so true! Prioritization is soooo important , I have learned that recently and it has really added to my peace of mind. Experiences are something we can hold on to and remember always.
Great video, Vera. As always. It's so important to be patient with those around us who may not be on the same wavelength. Also, I appreciate your point about consumerism and getting to the core of our issues rather than continuing to follow our habits blindly. 🌺Have a great week!🌺
Thank you. I needed this video. I started too heavy too fast and now I'm getting discouraged. Like you said.....it took me years to gather all these items, they can't go all in a week. 😘
Thank you for sharing these examples on minimalist mindsets, Vera. I totally agree that buying certain things only brings temporary happiness. It can also have the opposite effect overtime if your use of the item ceases when you intended to use it frequently. I feel upset sometimes when I spend money on items that after awhile just sit and gather dust when I initially convinced myself I would use it all the time. These purchases where usually made during periods of boredom. I’ve recently understood that since I work on a computer all day that I’m not really interested in spending my free time with electronics too. This realization has made a difference. Thank you Vera for the insights today, and I hope you enjoy your weekend.
So happy you enjoyed the video Justin! :) Yes boredom is a dangerous one haha. Making a purchase is a quick and easy flush of dopamine. So I find that those are tricky moments. These mindsets help me too :)
I tried to bring back my potplants outside in my garden. I have to water them every day in summer, last year I had 44 pots. I gifted some and dug some in the existing garden. This year I did some cutting flower plants for the house, some food like salads in pots. The friends I gifted the pots last year came with other potplants, they loved it I gave them mine. Oh dear, now I have 88 pots. Minimalism in gardening Is a challenge XD
I realized I was buying things because I felt empty but that no matter how many times I bought things their effects are not permanent. Buying things may feel good temporarily but they are not real, lasting forms of change that will help you. This is the biggest lesson I personally learned. I think a lot of people are stuck in that cycle of shopping and that's just crazy to me now.
Vera you always have wonderful new insights on minimalism and I'm always glad to see a new video. Thank you for your thoughtful guidance and for sharing what works in your experience with us. I've been on the minimalist journey for a couple years but I still learn fresh perspectives in your videos.
I'm so happy to hear that Josie, thanks so much :) I always try to include things in my videos that could offer a fresh perspective for people, and that not a lot of people on TH-cam talk about
It's totally a huge mindset to take on but I feel like once we do we become happier. We learn things don't equal happiness and we are more content with life. Love meeting people with the same mindset too! :)
Love this video Vera - we often think of minimalism in terms of buying things or an aesthetic, when really it’s a thought process. Always enjoy your videos, they make me feel calm and happy x
I love your videos ! They are realistic and thought provoking. I am currently going through one of our bedrooms and slowly decluttering. One you tuber I was watching said to take an hour each time to tackle the problem area so you don’t become overwhelmed.
Great video as always! My biggest challenge is reminding myself it is okay to keep things I really love, because I often get caught in a "get rid of everything" mindset.
Yes Vera! I loved the bit where you said towards the end of the video this can only make us more interesting 🙂🌠💌💖😃 it's so great and empowering to be who you truly are and live the way you wish to live and so lovely to have found a place here with like minded people finding themselves and doing the same 💌❤ thank you Vera for all that you do i really appreciate and enjoy coming to tour channel xoxo have a great rest of your weekend 🧚♀️🙂
My neighbor is minimalist and he is now inspiring himself with me.. Is crazy how mind set changes and isn't about just get rid of all at once but the process.. I'm all about the process bc is the tantra thinking. That's how I think about a lot of things
Thank you for the advice regarding being the only person in your family that has this desire and vision. This was my most difficult conflict. I will be more patient with them now and not judge them too harshly. 🌸🌺
When my gf noticed that I was a minimalist she asked why. I told her. After she has seen the benefits she has become a minimalist herself. When I started I made a rule for myself ( " what is not a necessity will save and/or earn me money) I have books on natural medicines and most of my plants are herbs ( Stevia, green tea, fruits and veggies)
Thank you for your video! Will you do a similar one but go more in depth with having a minimalist mindset about projects, relationships, thoughts? The thought process often is like this for me: 1 happily have many ideas on what I would like to do, explore on my free time 2. Happily starting to plan it 3. All sudden the ideas have become an 'to do'-list and I get anxious if they are not fulfilled and the joy of them disappear... How to keep a light and simple approach to thoughts, ideas, plans, project's? And how to let them go and do grief all the 'missed' opportunitys? I guess fear of not following my dreams, carpe Diem kicks in when the plans doesn't happens (and in the end maybe I am to tired to do it or the plan wasn't practical possible anyway) All my best wishes!
Hi Vera thank you so many helpful ideas here ❤️ I have been downsizing and de cluttering for the last 18months it’s definitely about the journey not the destination! your channel has helped me in so many ways 🤗
I am not big purchaser but my clothes collection is so huge and its so hard to declutter them, some of them are more than a decade old, yet i still wear them, and love them and each one of them has memory associated to it, as of now i have come to terms that i will try to be a minimalist everywhere else other than my closet...
Sometimes the fact that an item gives you joy, is reason enough to keep it :) But there's a difference between real joy, and just holding on to an item because of attachment that isn't based on what the item is currently doing for you. If that makes sense :) Only you can determine which one it is for each item
Heart of Kentucky. Hello Vera in the Netherlands. I'm so happy to hear from you. I got allowance growing up too. I think allowance is a interesting word. I saved money while on lock down. Now that I'm out, I'm spending money on fast food, like biscuit with butter and jelly, yum yum. I've also started buying Starbucks at the University. It really adds up, so I'm going to do without those things, and save as much as I can. I hope all is well in the Netherlands? Katie
Thanks so much Katie! All is well here, we're slowly getting back to 'normal' life here bit by bit. Hope it's getting better where you live too. Take good care! And yes, small purchases like that can really add up, the lockdown has been a wake-up call for me too in that regard.
I'm on the journey of becoming a minimalist. So exited. So tired from buying and having tone of extra stuff. Also my husband likes to save stuff, that drives me crazy 🙈 hoping to succeed!
That's so cool Brigita! :) Check out my minimalism for beginners video, it might have some useful tips for you too: th-cam.com/video/40QfYunTcRg/w-d-xo.html
So happy that you replied. By the way can you give any tips on how to start minimalism as a teenager. I m 15 and I m really confused with what's happening in my life.
I have found two resources thar might be helpful for you: bemorewithless.com/notes-from-a-minimalist-teen/ and www.mnmlgrl.com/post/i-m-a-teenage-minimalist-here-s-why-every-teenager-should-go-minimal. Hope they will help :)
One question I learned to ask myself is how and when I anticipated using an item I was thinking about buying. I am a sucker for a gift shop and I often get really excited about items more because of the context in which I find them. For example, when I visited the Harry Potter theme park, I desperately wanted to get wizard robes and a wand because I saw all these people dressed up in the park and it looked fun, but when I asked myself how and when I intended to use the robes and wand outside the park, it was clear I had no use for them outside that context. So I passed. Since then, I often ask myself this question and it has saved me from a lot of unnecessary purchases.
Thanks Vera, you helped a lot. In my house I don't have conditions to release furniture in every part of my house but watching the model of your house I could find out another position which occupies less space. But your tips always help me to keep my place organized and after cleaned. Gratitude 🙏💚
I've stopped buying presents for most events/people because to me, it's more of a "let's exchange cash" deal. My friends and I go out to dinner or to an event instead. Or I bake something for them. My Mom and I decided we'd rather do something together too, so we go to a Mother's Day tea instead of me buying her flowers and we went to the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit for her birthday. We both enjoyed the time together rather than the "stuff" bought... I just wish my Dad would get on board!
Can you do a video or include a short list of books that influenced you towards the minimalism mindset? Excluding the decluttering ones, if possible. So many of those seem like housekeeping hacks.
Brand new sub and I love your channel thank you so much this will be a great positive new habit for my life. Keep healthy and safe. Blessings, love and light. PS. Can you show us how to decorate and not clutter?
I have been on the journey of minimalism for a while now, but still there are times when it becomes challenging. There are these moments when I am depressed or bored or upset and all I want to do is shop! But having said that, mostly I am able to pursue minimalism and sustainability. Thanks Vera for a lovely video with excellent content.
Thanks so much! :) I can relate, especially boredom is a tricky one. Perhaps you could think about a hobby or something creative you could pick up for moments like that. Like you could learn to draw or make music or crafts, things like that. Maybe it's not your thing haha. You decide :) Skillshare has awesome classes for creative hobbies too
Hi Vera! Perfect day for this vid. I just got rid of my bookshelves and put the books I want to keep or read in bins and boy does it look much better and neater in my bedroom. I got rid of about 5 big shopping bags of books and still have a lot but they are now safe from dust and it will save me a lot of work. It was hard work but so rewarding!! As I read my books I will give it away when I am done unless I know I will read it again or it has a special meaning for me. Hope you and family are all doing well. Hugs!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗💚💚💚💚
Hi Vera ❤ I loveeeee your channel. I watch your oooldd videos. You got better and better in doing your videos and editing. I love be minimalism. I don't want to buy anything that I must look after. I rather save and travel. I prefer spend time with the one I love. Keep up the excelent work❤⚘
i love ur plants Vera 😍....very relaxing....Thank u for this video..it helps a lot.can u make a new video on how to overcome hate and stay calm all the time...and how to ignore stressful people too. thank u...waiting for your next video.. 😊
Love this video!! Vera could u PLZZZZ do a house tour so we could get inspiratoin? Also can u plzzzz do more "declutter with me" videos, like the jewelry one? THose really inspired me and a whole lot of other people!!!! Also, thank you so much for the inspiration in this video!! Loved it!! You always make me smile and feel better about minimalism!!
Thank you so much Emily :) I don't declutter a lot of things anymore so I can't make many declutter with me videos, but I'm getting ready to declutter my wardrobe and get rid of a lot of things, so I think I'll definitely turn that into a video soon :)
Yes and you hit on a key word. Attachment. In Bhuddism they teach that attachment is the cause of suffering. I still have a bit of clearing out to do and will try not to suffer too much lol. Great video . Cheers 😎👍
Minimalism for me is about enjoying the little things in life that I currently have. If there's something that is hurting me or weighing me down, I can let it go whether it's an old friendship or an item that has no more meaning. I think of experiences and items as almost equally in a sense that I have many friends who are unhappy from FOMO if they don't experience everything in life or if they don't travel to as many countries as they have hoped for. Or maybe they've traveled the world and is still feeling empty inside. That's because they are always seeking on "having more" instead of enjoying what they already have. This is why I think experiences and items are kind of equal to me because if you think you don't have enough "experiences" or "items", you can be unhappy and lost in life.
On 2: it depends on the purchase. Experiences of course will always add value to our lives, but certain purchases can also be an experience, and thus be less fleeting. Books, for example, because you can learn something, or be transported to a new place, by reading, so the joy lasts longer. Other purchases, like clothes, are more fleeting, as the newness of owning it wears off.
I guess the biggest challenge for me is other people’s opinions... Just yesterday I went through my bookcase and selected some books to be passed along to other people. And folks were wondering- why? Why? Because I read those books and they don’t serve me any more. I believe that the majority of books we own should be shared with other people after we are done with them. Books are becoming obsolete anyway (sadly). For me, books are becoming mementos that is why it’s important to do a regular “evaluation” of what I own on a regular basis. Oh and I also stopped buying books opting to read digitally instead. Yet I still do love a feeling of a paper book 📖 ❤️
Hope the classes are coming along nicely. I saw something this past week or two on social media it said that the only place validation is needed is for parking One question do you think a person finds their own particular style or should I say it finds them in time?
Haha I love that about validation 😄 About finding your style, I think it's a combination of being open to experimenting and trying new things, as well as being tuned into your intuition and your inner voice
Haha yes it can definitely be challenging, I would also find it difficult at times. Luckily my boyfriend is every bit the minimalist I am haha, so it works out easy for us
wow Vera.... Some People bingewatch netflix, prime or hotstar... Here I am binge-watching your videos ... with so much peace and calmness❤️✌🏼☀️🎉 You are awesome dear. Stay blessed... Loads of love...👍🏼❤️🤗
Thanks for watching! 🤗🌱🍵 When it comes to adopting a minimalist mindset, what are some of the challenges that you still face? 👇👇👇
I think sales still get to me, I try to ignore sales but when I think, or overthink about them, I get more motivated to buy them. That's my struggle.
@Rojan Junior Ah yes I get that 😄 Just remember: it's not saving if you didn't need it in the first place 🤗
Ī
Hobbies! I love making things. Sewing projects and papercrafts take up the most space. I'll get it all organised and then new crafting stuff comes along and... boom! Messy again.
Sales can be challenging but I will walk away and wait until I buy it. This way I will realize if I want it or not.
My husband and I went simple about 10 yrs ago. I became ill and we decided to make our lives about eachother. Best decision I ever made.

How beautiful. I hope you've completely overcome your illness today❤🙏🏾

Loved reading your comment! :) Thanks for sharing
#7 is so very important! Minimalism is truly a journey and not necessarily a destination. It sometimes is a daily process that can be so very mind-clearing as well. Happy I found your channel. Greetings from Los Angeles!
Thank you for help me decluttering
That's amazing and so sweet, thanks so much! I'm so happy my videos have been helpful for you
Beautiful video! Thanks, Vera 😊
You're very welcome Isabel :)
I clicked like after a few minutes in the video. Love it. Thank you Vera for sharing this with us
Thank you so much! :)
This video was great as always Vera. This journey allows you to be you and you no longer feel the need to impress anyone with your possessions. I am feeling more happiness and gratitude. I will say it over and over you are so inspiring. Thank you for all you do. You have a wonderful weekend. ❤️🙏🏻
Thanks for all the love and support Lucy!!! 🤗💕🌼
Attitude is everything...sounds so simple but it is so true! Prioritization is soooo important , I have learned that recently and it has really added to my peace of mind. Experiences are something we can hold on to and remember always.
You just made my Sunday morning better. 🤗 Thank you! 🙂👌🏼 Have a nice day! 👍🏼
Aw that's so nice to hear :) Thank you!!!
Great video, Vera. As always. It's so important to be patient with those around us who may not be on the same wavelength. Also, I appreciate your point about consumerism and getting to the core of our issues rather than continuing to follow our habits blindly.
🌺Have a great week!🌺
Thanks Thea!! :) Yes I think that's very important if we want to live in alignment with ourselves and others :) Have a great weekend!
Such great advice Vera, as always really love your channel. You are so motivating and inspiring xx
Thanks so much Kathryn, that's so nice to hear :) Have a great day!
Thank you. I needed this video. I started too heavy too fast and now I'm getting discouraged. Like you said.....it took me years to gather all these items, they can't go all in a week. 😘
I get it Louise, patience is not one of my strongest suits haha. Remind yourself to take your time as many times as you need :)
Iam trying to get rid of clutter, not easy
Me too!
I have never felt so inspired as when I watch your videos. I am becoming much happier and content already, thank you so much
💕💕💕
Hahahaha I love it :D
Hoi, hoi, Vera! Your videos are very relaxing to watch. Appreciate the effort you put into them both visually and in ideas.
Hoi hoi Charron 🤗😄 Thank you so much, that's great to hear :) Have a great day
Thanks, Vera for more insights on minimalism..!
You're very welcome Bernadette :)
Thanks Nick! :)
Hi Vera, I always watch your videos. It helps me a lot. Thank you and keep uploadin this kind of video.❤️ from Philippines
Thanks so much! :) Have a lovely week
Love this video Vera - we often think of minimalism in terms of buying things or an aesthetic, when really it’s a thought process. Always enjoy your videos, they make me feel calm and happy x
So happy to hear it, thanks Kirsten :)
I find this video so relaxing. Thank you, Vera.
Happy to hear that!! Thank you Donna
I love your videos ! They are realistic and thought provoking. I am currently going through one of our bedrooms and slowly decluttering. One you tuber I was watching said to take an hour each time to tackle the problem area so you don’t become overwhelmed.
Awesome, good luck Maria!! :)
I really love your channel. You're so eloquent and your contents are always valuable! Thank you :)
Thanks so much Ekaterini :)
Great video as always! My biggest challenge is reminding myself it is okay to keep things I really love, because I often get caught in a "get rid of everything" mindset.
Haha yes I get that :) Pacing yourself can really help
Thanks for sharing Lisa! :) I love our community too, so many great people here :) Have a wonderful weekend!
@@SimpleHappyZen 😊😍❤ hi x:) and much love to you Vera xx
I would definitely go for experiences instead of material things. Living here and now and enjoying the moment gives me pleasure.
🙏🏻
Thank you for your video! Will you do a similar one but go more in depth with having a minimalist mindset about projects, relationships, thoughts?
The thought process often is like this for me: 1 happily have many ideas on what I would like to do, explore on my free time 2. Happily starting to plan it 3. All sudden the ideas have become an 'to do'-list and I get anxious if they are not fulfilled and the joy of them disappear... How to keep a light and simple approach to thoughts, ideas, plans, project's? And how to let them go and do grief all the 'missed' opportunitys? I guess fear of not following my dreams, carpe Diem kicks in when the plans doesn't happens (and in the end maybe I am to tired to do it or the plan wasn't practical possible anyway)
All my best wishes!
Hey Vera We value experiences over owning stuff. Great video as always. You are an inspiration. Thank you❤
Aw thank you and enjoy your weekend! :)
Your calming videos and content is helping keep my anxiety down. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. New subscriber. So glad I found you! 💗
Happy to hear my videos are helping you :) Take good care and welcome to the channel!
@@SimpleHappyZen 💐💗💐
Hi Vera thank you so many helpful ideas here ❤️ I have been downsizing and de cluttering for the last 18months it’s definitely about the journey not the destination! your channel has helped me in so many ways 🤗
Glad you found the video helpful!! :) Have a happy Sunday
I am not big purchaser but my clothes collection is so huge and its so hard to declutter them, some of them are more than a decade old, yet i still wear them, and love them and each one of them has memory associated to it, as of now i have come to terms that i will try to be a minimalist everywhere else other than my closet...
Sure! There's no minimalism police, do what works for you 🤗🌷
@@SimpleHappyZen 😊 ❤️ 🤗, thanks again for ur inspiration...
Great video as always...very good reminders.
Happy to hear it :) Thanks Sarah!
I love this video. Great reminders and suggestions. Thank you 😊
Happy to hear it! :) Thanks Monique, have a great day!
One of the challenges I face is letting go of items that I adore, but I just don’t use it. It’s hard to let those things go.
Sometimes the fact that an item gives you joy, is reason enough to keep it :) But there's a difference between real joy, and just holding on to an item because of attachment that isn't based on what the item is currently doing for you. If that makes sense :) Only you can determine which one it is for each item
Thank you 🙏
Heart of Kentucky.
Thank you Vera!
You're very welcome Joan :) Have a wonderful day
Simple Happy Zen You too 🙏🏻
I'm on the journey of becoming a minimalist.
Thank you so much for this videoo.. This was definitely needed
Thanks Aarushi :)
Thank you so much for taking out some of your precious time and helping me out. Lots of love to you.
Thank you for this video. 💖
You're very welcome 🤗🍃🌾
Love this way of life. 😍
🤗🌼
Nice one, Vera!
Thanks so much Leila :)
Love your videos Vera! You have such a sweet spirit! 🤗
Aww thanks Gabi! :) Have a wonderful weekend!
She so does have a sweet spirit, very calming
So happy it was helpful! :) Thanks Vitória, have a lovely day!
Thanks Vera! Awesome stuff as ever!!!
Thank you so much Damien! :)
Vera ~ thank you for sharing insightful thoughts on our minimalist journeys! The little birds at the end of video were so cheerful! 💕🦋🌱🌻🎶💟
Haha you're so welcome Enni! :) I love birds
Great tips! Thank you 🙂
You're very welcome Karisa 🤗🌷
Hi, Vera! I am in love with your videos. I am currently decluttering! Thanks for the vídeo. Are you Dutch? Your English is great!
Thank you so much! :) Yes I'm Dutch :) Good luck with decluttering!
Brand new sub and I love your channel thank you so much this will be a great positive new habit for my life.
Keep healthy and safe.
Blessings, love and light.
PS. Can you show us how to decorate and not clutter?
Thanks so much Ronda and welcome to the channel!! :) That's a great video topic suggestion actually :)
You decide :) Skillshare has awesome classes for creative hobbies too
Simple Happy Zen 👍🏻😊
Hugs!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗💚💚💚💚
That's amazing!! :) Must feel so good :)
@@SimpleHappyZen oh it does!! I just keep looking over there and so happy to see neat bins and a clean space instead of a dust eyesore! 😊😊😊😊💚💚💚
Hi Vera ❤
I loveeeee your channel. I watch your oooldd videos.
You got better and better in doing your videos and editing.
I love be minimalism. I don't want to buy anything that I must look after. I rather save and travel. I prefer spend time with the one I love.

Omg, Lupton was one of my English professors in college!!! Talk about a blast from the past.
Such a coincidence! :D
@@SimpleHappyZen Great!!! Thanks :)
I am from Russia and i like your video.you're very nice and you talk about interesting things. thank you)
Thanks so much! :)
Yes and you hit on a key word. Attachment. In Bhuddism they teach that attachment is the cause of suffering. I still have a bit of clearing out to do and will try not to suffer too much lol. Great video . Cheers 😎👍
Haha good luck and happy decluttering! :) Yes I like to read and learn more about attachment, it's very interesting
Thank you as always
You're very welcome :) Have a wonderful rest of your weekend
Yes! Love this so much 🥰
Thanks Hailey! :) Happy to hear it. Enjoy your day!
Excellent points and well said :) Completely agree
@@SimpleHappyZen Yay!! :)
Yes books are kind of in between I guess :) They're definitely also an experience
I am enjoying your videos very much. Great job 😊
That's great to hear! :) Thanks so much
Excellent video.
Thank you Sue!! :) Sending love
I saw something this past week or two on social media it said that the only place validation is needed is for parking
One question do you think a person finds their own particular style or should I say it finds them in time?
Haha I love that about validation 😄 About finding your style, I think it's a combination of being open to experimenting and trying new things, as well as being tuned into your intuition and your inner voice
Simple Happy Zen yeah I agree it’s not a question but an answer learned in time
been loving your idea. new subie here
Welcome to the channel!! 🤗🍵🌼
I was looking for something exact like this, again law of attraction..❣ Thank you Vera

Such beautiful photography. #9 is helpful to me, I have to remind myself not to push Tim to get rid of his things. Difficult sometimes to do! 😘
Haha yes it can definitely be challenging, I would also find it difficult at times. Luckily my boyfriend is every bit the minimalist I am haha, so it works out easy for us
