i really like that ford...i got a 1999 with the 5.4. an she has little over 3 hundred thousand...an she still tuns like a champ..i drive it every day yo work sn back...iv done alot to it....i absolutely love that body style...i put a nice set of 30 inch wheels with mud tires an shes beautiful....thanks for the video
If the truck was mine I would give it a level kit and drop it at least an inch and a half or maybe even 2 in and put some custom 19 by 8in chrome rims with the tires a little beefy. 💯😉😎
better do a test make sure it isnt cracked head or something i had one that drove fine for 6 months and finally let go and you couldnt tell it was bad til you used a tester. ford triton is straight up junk i wouldnt buy one if it was free

There are a lot of problems with these 5.4 Triton engines, the biggest is with the cam phasers and the crappy plastic timing chain guides that basically explode into pieces. Spark plugs come loose, threads sometimes get destroyed. The fuel pump driver module is attached to the frame and is prone to corrosion and the ignition system is know for failure.
Yeah I’ve heard all the horror stories about them. This one had lived a hard life, might have a little left to give, the new owner can figure that out.

And 4 different years of Rangers, 2.3L, 3.0L, x2 4.0L trucks. Probably better to have the 4.6L VS the 5.4L in terms of reliability.
You obviously don’t know what you are talking about because that truck does not have cam phasers, or fuel pump module on the frame. The 5.4 is a reliable engine and I should know I’ve owned 3 of them and have only had to do regular maintenance.

Yes, you are correct, however the 2 valve 5.4 was a good engine like the 4.6. its the 3 valve 5.4 that is the nightmare engine.
