Glad they made an effort but there is no excuse for his actions and how he treated you! I still will share this video and I how it all gets resolved soon! Thanks Matt for the update!
Glad to see things are working out. I searched mercury props and they do use some kind of 3M glue/ tape for balancing props which still doesn't sound like a good way to do it. I am in agreement with you on the way you were treated.
Thank you for the support. I do believe it could have been handled better as well. The 3M VHB Tape is a good product, but I am not willing to bet my lower unit on if it stays on or not.
@@WiredforCrappie If that's the way Mercury does their props, you find a prop done a better way and if you were running the better prop and something happens to your outboard motor. What would Mercury do?
I have to agree with one of the comments that said total BS they seen that you have a following on TH-cam and if not you would have been forgotten about Again I am proud of the way you handled yourself shows you are a good man
I googled how Mercury balances a prop and it did say in 2020 they started balancing by addition. They do use weights and vhb tape just like on a tire. Nothing mentioned about laser etching.
If and when I get my money back it does not change the actions in which he took. They only contacted me and are willing to work it out because I am on social media. If I would not have brought it to light, they would have never done a thing. I 100% believe that. Especially when he started cussing out his father the way he did.
Im happy he apologized. You deserved an apology and full refund. This must be an ongoing problem for them. We had prop work done last month. He was very rude when we called to check on progress.
I hope this is the start of a change in their customer service. I am sorry for the way they treated you as well. It seemed to me that he wears anger on his sleeve.
It's still BS. If you didn't have a TH-cam channel and your number of followers. Nothing would have happened. I am a local Tennessean and they won't be getting my business.
What about the manufacturer? Has merc. Explained why they are producing glue in ballanced Props? No way no time will I ever run something like that. For what they charge for their props you'd think they would be top quality...please let us know if merc. Contacts you. Unbelievable
I have contacted merc and the individuals I have got to talk to in customer service knew of the process, but were not up to speed on the technical side of the situation. I am waiting to hear more from them.

I agree. Hopefully, we can get this resolved soon, thanks for the support.

I 100% agree with this comment Michael. That is why I wont back down. I am standing up for the other guy or gal.

An there it is. All true. Some props will have the weights and some will not. Luck of the draw I assume. I simply don't want one with weights in it.
Great to hear they apologized it takes a big man to apologize and admit they’ve done wrong . Prayers it works out .
Agreed SlabHappyLures. I hope so too.
Those guys are so weird, I took my prop there to get the hub replaced and they said they would rather sell me a prop instead. They are unprofessional
That’s a fact.
Glad that they are trying to make it right for you! Hopefully you get all your money back.
Let's hope so Jon.
Hope it works out
As do I. Thanks cecil.
I have a couple friends in that area I done told them to skip that place. Guess I’ll have to take that back if you get your money back.

The credit card does that sometimes. I've had mine come and go
I hope this is the case. We will see. Glad they are willing to make it right either way.
What about him calling you a Democrat? There should be a special apology for that.
LOL to funny Ken.
