You did a great job with this video. I fly foot launch for now, and I've flown flex wing trikes years ago, but I know nothing about the paramotor trikes, so I found this helpful. Most Sincerely, Ron.🙂
Thanks Ron! Hope to get you swapped over to both foot launch and trike training maybe here soon! It really is a great skill to have in your pocket. -ALY
I am here Only for the fox, Nope not Aly, the trike! It's a great machine. Flying it two years. I got a great deal when i purchased it. I paid for both double hoop and got the single hoop for foot launch for cheap as to purchasing it separately. Not sure it still exists but worth asking. great lil vid. thanks One Up!
I like what you are doing here. I'm tool old to run around with the engine on my back. Looking to get something like this next year. Just looking for for the best solution for grass and desert LZs. Thanks and cheers.
The Eco2 (largest trike in the video) can be purchased with a Rotax if that is what you are wanting :) The trike is the same, there are a few minor differences being that it is a Rotax.
I'm very happy with my Fly Products Rider. I got the double hoop with the trike in mind for the future possibly. I like having the stronger frame anyways for foot launch also. Makes me feel like the lines are farther from the prop for power launches.
It depends on the glider really. The BGD Cyclone is rated to carry up to 1102lbs, os take out the weight of the trike with fuel and reserve (-300) that's still 802 lbs of pilot and passenger. :) Of course more weight means longer takeoff runs and slower climb rates, so then it depends on available field length. But with 50HP its quite a capable machine and certainly a great choice for bigger people!
We currently have a Polini Thor 303 in stock (not sure if this is what you are looking for) but this is the big motor we would recommend to put on the Flash as a Tandem Unit. -ALY
@@oneupadventures5040 how much weight it will able to take if we try to put flash as tandem unit, and what glider would be suitable for tandem rides. Please guide
We don't have a Luna trike in our US stock as it is not part 103 legal. There are strenuous ways to go about getting one but with it being over weight and a massive fuel capacity it just doesn't come close to a paramotor legal standards sadly.
Would anyone know what the best reviewed, best possible dealer/training location would be in Florida? I'm in NJ now, but really don't think I want to be based out of NJ for this sport. I'm moving down to Florida in May. Cash in hand and ready to commit. Hopefully, I can find someone very sincere about safety and quality. I'd like to stick around for a few more years!
We do training but I recommend looking at USPPA as well for information. We would be happy to answer any questions you have also! info@oneupadventures.com
There are so many options. That would not be possible. The eco light with the cosmos 300 goes from 13000 - 19000 euro's depending on what you want. What instruments, double ignition, dual start, reserve or not, and so on. And you can choose from 3 engines each with their own options. Besides that, this is a 2 year old film. Pretty sure the prices have gone up.
The Foxy Trike is the one to watch. A smart solution for the masses like the new Parajet Lite Trike and the Scout Airone.... Has to fit in a citycar. My humble opinion....
You bring up a good point and it is a fine balance. Because the foxy uses the paramotor's harness and weight-shift system for that foot launch feel in theair, its not possible to put the pilot any lower and have adequate ground clearance for the motors frame. Also making a wider wheelbase compromises portability. The Foxy is a great in the hands of an experienced pilot, but not the ideal trike for a beginner to learn the sport on. We just filmed a video yesterday with Kyle demonstrating transporting the foxy trike in the front seat of his Mini Cooper, with his Rider Moster 185 in the back seat, and having everything set up and ready to fly in about 7 minutes. This is where the Foxy shines!
@@oneupadventures5040 thank you, can't wait for that video. I'm obsessed with minimal vehicles and love the Foxy idea. It looks (the Foxy does) like the CG is very high up as like you mention and that a tip over can easily happen. Let's hope these italians create something a bit more stable soon for the mini Cooper crowds and low timers too. Dreaming of a one hour flight time all electric nano paratrike aircraft here.... It has to happen. I love the TH-cam content you provide !!!!!
@@oneupadventures5040 I myself learned on the foxy from the start. It was a lil to get use too, everyone now calls me the wingman in my hood bc i always taxi on the trike and no longer have to walk to launch as my fellow foot fellas do! great machine! Thank you Navid!
Better gas mileage yes, trade off is weight. Reliability with the Cosmos 300 has been top-notch. We've sold dozens of those engines to real world users, and put over 170 combined hours on our Cosmos with no issues.
Is there a reason why the Luna Light is not covered here? Is it a poor choice for beginner pilots, too heavy, or what? Also - I really like the entire Fly Products line but....just being honest here....they are *extremely* pricey and when you tack on the VAT tax....they're pretty much beyond what I'm willing to spend unless someone is able to give me something other than subjective reasons to justify it.
Travis and crew are right up there with top-tier schools.
Good info on Fly Products line of trikes!
Very nice
Thanks for sharing this video and information.

Great side-by-side comparison! Thanks! 👍😎👍
If you have a tandem trike but only fly solo do you need a sport pilot license?

We really enjoy training on the Fly Products frames for the rigidity of them! We are so glad you are happy with yours!
Hi there, I have purchased fly product Xenit plus tirke recently. Is it flyable tendum at higher altitude like 8000ft above see level?
What is the max weight limit for eco lite or any really. My goal is to tandem the family but we are big people

Don't get the trike, just teach them to fly on their own equipment, so much more fun, you all fly together on comms, just an idea?
Nice video guys. I’m still considering an upgraded motor for my flash cruiser

As someone who may be interested. How many hours have you flown and what kind of accidents have you had?
We have hundreds of hours flying both trike and footlaunch..Accidents can happen to anyone! Its all about your risk profile.

Did your super customer who bought the Eco 2 shoot the elk from the paramotor ;-) Very well done video Travis (for a Coastie)!
Zoiks! Quite the lineup.

We'd love to but sadly the Luna is not legal to fly in the USA due to it's weight. We hope to visit Italy and fly the Luna trike in 2022!

Lowering the CG of the Foxy is an urgent fix for Fly Italy and making it a bit wider .....while maintaining light weight and awesome portability.

Great stuff. Get the videographer to bump up the frame rate for the slow motion clips. It's really annoying having to watch the jerkiness.

Tandem in not legal, part 103.
We conduct tandems under the ASC tandem exemption which has been vetted through the FAA. Completely legal under part 103 :)
