Regarding the scaling gym leaders, they've canonized in the anime for YEARS now that gym leaders have full teams of Pokemon and select which ones to use based on the challenger's skill level (as appraised by their number of badges). Any gym leader is theoretically prepared to face a 0 badge trainer or a 7 badge trainer at any time. I think this first appeared in the Black & White anime, but I could be wrong. It's long overdue for the games to follow suit, especially now that we can canonically do gyms in any order.
It's even seen in games that Gym Leaders have full teams and even Pokemon outside of their normal team and challenge team. The only region where gyms only having a singular team for challengers is in Galar where the order you take the gyms is set. Even Katy mentions that the only reason she seems as weak as she does is because Geeta told her to go soft.
In the games, I guess this technically first appeared in Emerald, where you could rematch the Gym Leaders with much stronger teams; but it wasn't properly mentioned until Black 2 and White 2, where Cheren expresses frustration at not being allowed to use his proper team against you after you beat him (it's apparently his first, or one of his first, battle as a Gym Leader and he's still adjusting to the rules). As for why the games don't do this... I'd imagine it'd be a ton of extra work and data to give every Gym Leader 8 potential teams, when on any given playthrough you'll only face one. Still would be nice to see happen once, though.
Then that removes the fun of being able to beat the strongest gym with a team of Pokémon that’s levels haven’t even reached double digits yet. If they could ada an option at the beginning of if you want scaling or not then that would be great but people some want challenge and it’s not fair to take peoples fun away just because you didn’t want to listen to the order the game recommends you use if you don’t want a challenge.

@cogumelo good theory but I think it goes a bit deeper then that. tinkatons base attack stat is 75, it also canonically hunts corviknights to create its hammer. Corviknight has a base attack stat of 87. If you combine both mons base attack you get 162 rounded off is 160, which is the exact amount power gigaton hammer has.

@supremefankai5480 It being a dark type doesn't make any sense if it's just playing the heel due to dark being evil type in Japan. Missed opportunity to have a spilt type evolution branch based on if it likes you or hates you for 2nd or 3rd stage.
My headcanon is that Gardevoir is completely aware of how much trainers want to fuck them, and they might actually be willing to indulge those fantasies if they have a strong enough bond with their trainers and their trainers actually battle with them. I mean they're Psychic types that are extremely loyal to their trainers, Pokephilia isn't too far off from that mindset. I doubt they want to just be seen as playthings though, they probably want to be seen as battle partners first.
One of their strongest traits is their Empathy, so if one has a trainer that wants to smash, she's not only aware, she can _feel how bad_ they want to smash. That said, they have their empathic abilities through the whole evolution line and in at least one of the games mentions that Ralts only allows well intentioned trainers to ever encounter them. So if a Gardevoir has a trainer that wants to smash, she probably knew that before being caught, and _planned on it._
@@keybladewielder9425 correct garbage human that just wants to enslave Gardevoir would quickly be killed Same reason NOBODY should try to enslave Ghost types
I think Tinkaton's low Attack is because most physical moves uses her BODY and not her HAMMER (technically. Unless she can Play Rough with it-) and like her Hammer is the most powerful part of her, that explans why Gigaton Hammer is extremely powerful, despite her own Attack being low
If Tinkaton had a Mega Evolution, her Attack stat wouldn't change but she gains the ability Huge Power. The reason for that is because her hammer is the one that changes, not the Pokémon herself. This is due to the fact that Tinkaton is already perfect as she is.

I kind of get why the scaling gyms don't exist in the new Pokémon is probably due to the lore behind the gym leaders. So it will not make sense for the beginning one that you just run past and keep on going along in the game. You can come back later and do the gym. As it seems more so like a RPG this time leveling up to overpower your enemy is a thing.
The only thing I hate about the starter cats' final evos is their hands. Meow's is more acceptable but Incin's hands are like a set of sausages sticking out of a clementine
I really disliked Arven at the beginning but the longer his questline became the more I liked him. With Penny it was similiar though I liked her from the beginning. Nemona just kinda scares me. That japanese was pretty good.

( incineroar has yet to realize that his trainer has long forgotten him and he will forever continue to wait for his trainer that will never arrive and that is why this statue of Incineroar was made to never forget how loyal a Pokémon can be towards their trainers)
It would have been SO easy to make the pokemon gyms level match the trainer, all you'd have to do is set it up so it would check the number of badges you have and make the gym leader's level appropriate to that, I mean, you could still break the system by wandering around and grinding without taking on any gyms but at least they wouldn't have lied to you by saying the game is open world but making you stick to a track anyway.
I had a skeledirge before I fought a single gym cause I was addicted to grinding, so my whole team before fighting anything (except the klawf titan) was level 35-36
7:50 I think the problem with Penny is that she comes across as entitled and out of touch (not to mention breaking the law) doesn't seem all that remorseful over her actions past saying sorry, and gets away with it with a slap on the wrist. All of her story is 'tell' with no 'show' so you don't have the same connection you have with her like you do with Arven. And Nemona is refreshingly straightforward with her battle maniac tendencies, its always like she's innocently underestimating your ability which is the only reason she loses to you at the onset.
Noble: Has shinies galore because sandvvich. Me: Got my first full odds shiny (an Iron Bundle) because I was looking for a non-shiny Iron Valiant in the wrong cave.

Worst is Grusha isn't even the strongest in that northern area.. like the last two Team Star bosses are more powerful... which then is confusing since the league is above those two.. like imagine someone doing a path at a time and just.. being under leveled for the league since they assumed they were fine after beating the last gym.. legit Grusha is max level 48 while Rika, first E4, is max level 58.. 10 levels above Grusha.. when the game is gonna be like "yes good job for beating Grusha go to league" and they put the league where the wild mons are like.. at most level 18..
Why would the strongest trainers live in the areas with the weakest pokemon? So normal people can actually reach them without needing an escort.
Trapinch would literally snap off you limbs if it in real life. Like one of those Snapping Turtles that wouldn’t let go of your arm
i dont know if Noble remembers this but in the pokemon anime they outright show that Gym Leaders have reserves of Pokemon that they choose from based on the opponent. they pretty much did away with it very early on but I remember one or two gyms showing this off and I'm pretty sure Ash helps at least one Gym leader get a new pokemon
"At least one" is an euphemism.
• Brock (gets Steelix, Croagunk and Blissey, and also took care of a Mudkip, a Vulpix, and others that would make this a bible.)
• Misty (gets a fucking Gyarados, etc.)
• ,etc.
Brock gets so much mons it's insane. Now he is a doctor, and uses all these wonderful Pokémon to take care of his patients.
@@joaoguilhermeuchoa5061 yeah but honestly i dont count travel companions because they have to scale with Ash out of necessity so I did reference Brock or Misty
Gastly could totally be an artist with no arms! There's people who paint with all sort of parts from their body, *ALL SORTS OF PARTS.* So it could totally paint with it's tongue.
Gastly must learn from Grafaiai then.
Actually seen some stuff painted via electronics the user only having his tongue to work with.
Makes perfect sense. There's documentary footage of achievements like this, & it's impressive, inspiring even.
It can learn the elemental punches, I'm sure whatever it uses for that could be used to paint.
2:06 Harriet is from Super Mario Odyssey as one of the Broodels.
Midnite is from Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope as one of the Spark Hunters and the boss of Pristine Peaks (Snowy Mountain level)
And you are right, Claworline is from Kirby. Specifically Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Penny didn't even steal actual money. She hacked in and generated the League's virtual currency to give to the player. I'm still baffled on how Geeta was able to do that and how profitable the League has to be to make those LPs mean anything.
Incineroar looks like Tai Lung but Fire. If a Legends game gets made and Incineroar is one of the starters. I hope the regional form be a snow leopard.
ICE/DARK Kung Fu Snow Leapard.....that mon will be LEGENDARY!!!
That sounds AWESOME
Now that I noticed it I have to do it
"If I had a nickel for a cat starter to become a bipedal dark type I'd have two nickel which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice"
Honestly the only gym leader who looks normal with Larry’s face is Darius, man barely has any expression change

This is funny as all hell I literally just started breeding Pokemon before the video was posted nice timing Noble
11:55 insert Joseph joestar’s “OH MY GOD!”
I've only encountered two shiny Pokémon (Gold's Red Gyarados aside) in my entire life, which made them quite special to me: a Gold Magikarp in Dragon's Den back in Gold Version and a Purple Foongus right outside Eri's Team Star Base in Scarlet Version I named Sussy Baka.
All the shinies I've met in the wild so far other than the scripted red gyrados have killed themselves, hope I have better luck with the next one. Recently hatched 2 shinies last month after playing Pokemon X for almost 10 years now which out having hatched an before that though was breeding Trapinch to pass IV's and Jolly nature to my Scyther's bloodline and the 4th egg was a shiny, first shiny I've hatched in all my years
Other people giving you TMs: Here’s my favorite TM as a reward for defeating me. Use it wisely.
Penny: Here’s this random TM I found on the side of the road. I’m not really using it for anything, so I guess you can have it.

Ok, how terrifying is the art that causes the furries to be scared of?
The Katy meme is so real. I saved her for last because bug is my favorite type and i didnt want spoilers on new bug types. So i rolled up to the "first" gym with my level 70 team.
THE ENDING OF THE SANDWICH MAKING CRACKED ME UP SO HARD 🤣🤣🤣
I kind of get why the scaling gyms don't exist in the new Pokémon is probably due to the lore behind the gym leaders. So it will not make sense for the beginning one that you just run past and keep on going along in the game. You can come back later and do the gym. As it seems more so like a RPG this time leveling up to overpower your enemy is a thing.
Perhaps Trapinch is based on a bullet ant? That's the only way I see a bug bite hurting more than a gigaton hammer. Lol.
it's an antlion
Tinkaton vs Trapinch. Have someone hit your arm with a hammer, now go let an alligator snapping turtle bite your arm, there ya go.
Woah, noble can read japanese. That's nice.
He has to have learned recently.
(What the fuck did I even say)

The only thing I hate about the starter cats' final evos is their hands. Meow's is more acceptable but Incin's hands are like a set of sausages sticking out of a clementine
i like how at 1:49 its just a translated jojo reference while meowscarada looks at the art of her
You sir, are the first person I'm aware on that catched on that!.
I need a mod for “oops all Larry” where every npc is Larry. XD
I really disliked Arven at the beginning but the longer his questline became the more I liked him.
With Penny it was similiar though I liked her from the beginning. Nemona just kinda scares me.
That japanese was pretty good.
Idc about Lucario ingame, now if you'd gimme one IRL, it'd be a different story! .. Or Meowscarada!
12:33 Also me when i wake up... so don't sleep next to me, cuz imma treat you like we're at the Pokemon Day Care!
Incineroar: I’m the mightiest champion, I’ve fight against very mighty warriors throughout the knew universe and earn mighty belt made from the finest gold to ever exist and yet I yearn for those days where I used to go on mighty adventures with my trainer when I was in my second evolution, I hope one day he’ll come back for me. ( incineroar has yet to realize that his trainer has long forgotten him and he will forever continue to wait for his trainer that will never arrive and that is why this statue of Incineroar was made to never forget how loyal a Pokémon can be towards their trainers)
I wasn't a fan of Incineroar until I started watching Gabaleth's comic dubs about Smash Bros Ultimate.
I nearly died in a fit of laughter due to maucaholic, my ribs hurt but thank you for making these videos!!!
The funny part about gyms is that it's been implied that all gyms scale in all other media except both the game and manga.
4:15 its to balence out the op gigaton hammer i think
I love Incineroar and Meowscarada, they are the funny standing cats and they make me laugh
2:56 when you are doing a job interview you can't just say "Oh, I want to be a Cop because I think it will be fun!"
You would need to add 56 new battles to account for any gym being able to be scaled to any battle
13:00 Where did other one go? I mean, Koraidon is right there on background...
5:47 that sounds like half the voice of "Him" from power puff girls. it's great.
When you find so many shiny lucario’s and non are the opposite gender so
I had a skeledirge before I fought a single gym cause I was addicted to grinding, so my whole team before fighting anything (except the klawf titan) was level 35-36
7:07 i was like
Me: ok a gym leader
