Although honestly, with the game as it was I'm surprised no--one picked butterfree or beedrill.
It gives you three randomizer chances of getting catapie/weedle, metapod/kakuna or butterfree/beedrill, because you can just evolve them for the win at fairly low level.
@@IamGrimalkin they do the worser choices for more content and more time it takes to be successful, if they picked something like butterfree or beedrill then the challenge would end in 3 minutes

Hey, guys! Next time you record another race, don’t stop at the first winner; keep recording until the last two are declared second and third. I would have loved to watch this video until either Mikey or Jack found their selected Pokémon.
When these three get together, I love how Mikey acts like the older brother of the group while John and Jack have like sibling banter. Through the vid you can see how over it mikey gets at times😂😂

Up until he starts losing. The second John starts getting ahead, Mikey goes full diva tantrum. I think bringing in Jack, who is definitely the most immature, balances out how competitive Mikey can get.

Ngl the trio was legendary, but I watched the video that PM7 made, and I see that purple cliff and Mandjtv just couldn’t solve conflict. But I still hope that this trio will come back one day better than ever.
Honestly I don't think it's likely. You can tell watching them that John was the glue holding them together. He's good with people but Mikey and Purpleclif almost never interact just with each other in these. I like watching John interact with them but the other two never seemed to be more than acquaintances.
I couldn't be more proud to find out why I voted for to ratio Mikey in Jack's discord.

To answer Mikey's question about Jolteon not learning any new moves, it's because the one single Eevee you can get in Red and Blue is ONLY obtainable at level 25 so they aren't programmed to learn any moves until after they pass level 25 like the game intends. As another example, it would be the same with the legendary birds. They can only be caught at level 50 and so the game doesn't have them learning any new moves before that. If it was somehow obtained before level 50, Articuno would only know Peck and Ice Beam until it learns Blizzard at 51.

16:56 The reason for this is due to how they did lvl up moves for red/blue. A lot of Pokemon that you aren't supposed to get until later lvls (like Mewtwo doesn't learn a single lvl up move unttil 70+), and since you get the gift Eevee at lvl 25, The Eeveelutions doesn't learn a new move until 27. Didn't really make sense to program in lvl up moves for a pokemon you aren't meant to encounter before lvl 25, or 30 etc.
Edit: The move they learn at lvl 27 is quick attack, which is one of tthe moves they start up with, and at lvl 31 they learn their elemental move (like Thundershock for Jolteon, so they all doesn't start learning something until lvl 37 when they learn Tail Whip.

For a challenge like this, I would choose Butterfree. There’s the chance of encountering it in a trainer or wild battle, but then there’s also the chance of finding a wild Caterpie or Metapod, and they evolve so super easily
