"Team Aqua's pokemon have no Water-type moves" Me: "Why else do you think they'd want so much more water? They don't have enough, even for their pokemon's attacks!"
I couldn't believe it myself at first, so I found a speedrunner spreadsheet called "Pokemon Gen 3 Trainers DataSheet". In Saphire/Ruby, there really are no water type moves for team aqua according to this list! HOWEVER, for Emerald, they modified the trainers, pokemon, and move pools, and it just so happens that there is a single aqua member with a single water move: A lonely Wailmer on Mt. Pyre with Water Pulse.
I'd love it if a grass character centred around perfume and scents took Blue's "smell ya later" catch phrase. They'd use it as a more positive thing, just being a weird person you meet along your travels who keeps giving you different perfumes that effect your mons mood, until you find out they're the second last Gym Leader. I'm actually surprised Pokemon hasn't permanently added more care options into the game. I know there have been a few that have come and gone, but very little had stayed.
3:40 This reminds me of a detail I LOVE when I found out about it. Espurr keeps its ears down in order to control its immense psychic power, otherwise it could accidentally end the life of its trainer if it lost control. So in the petting mode of its introductory game, Pokemon X & Y, if you touch its ears it gets very angry at you. The little fellow likes you too much to see you get hurt and lashes out to stop you. How do we know this? Because if you touch/pet the ears of a freshly caught Espurr with no Affection built up, it has no reaction to you touching its ears; whats going to happen is going to happen as far as it cares. 😈
Quilava accidentally setting everything on fire with his butt when startled would be worth it. My good boy since 2001 can do no wrong. That whole lineage is perfection.

I liked how the original Gen 1 starters were basically the "choose your difficulty slider" most games have. You choose Bulbasaur for the easy breezy start, choose Squirtle for the medium difficulty and Charmander for the hard mode, whereas Pikachu only yellow is extremely hard, but still doable. They kinda had the difficulty in choosing your starter in future games, but none as in your face, as gen 1 which is kind of a shame.

5:00 Poké (pronounced like "pokae") is loosely based on the value of Japanese Yen in 1995, where 1000 was roughly equal to one USD. Nowadays, the value of JPY has remained mostly the same, meanwhile inflation has made 1 USD worth about 150 JPY. Poké, however, is in a weird state of dual values, where 1000 poké is meant to be both 1000 JPY and 1 USD, meaning that the kid simultaneously bid ~30000 JPY (185 USD) and ~1200 USD (185000 JPY)

Regarding Inkay's evolution, it was introduced in X and Y as a way to make use of the 3DS's gyroscope. Each generation introduces a new evolution method that was impossible in the previous ones, usually due to the availability of a necessary item or a move. Shigeru Ohmori, the guy who came up with the idea, also thought it would be funny for people to accidentally discover it while playing normally. As far as actual clues that that's how you should evolve it? The best anybody's come up with is how Malamar is literally a bigger, meaner Inkay flipped upside-down and everything about the pokemon from it's animations to it's pokedex entry and even its signature move Topsy-Turvy reference rotation. But yeah, it's not exactly straightforward. And the new evolution methods have only gotten more convoluted since (Needing a specific type of pokemon in the party for Pangoro, needing rain or fog for Goodra, spinning while holding an item for Alcremie, evolution based on *game version* for Rockruff and Cosmoem, landing a certain number of crits in one battle for Sirfetch'd, using a specific move a specific number of times for Wyrdeer, Overqwil, and Annihilape, taking a certain amount of recoil damage and surviving for Basculegion, using a specific multiplayer mode for Palafin, defeating 3 specific pokemon holding a specific item for Kingambit, collecting 999 items for Gholdengo...) But still none compare to Runerigus: go through a specific place after taking at least 49 damage from a single attack without fainting between the damage and the travel. Some of these are outright alluded to by characters in game. Others, sure I could see you accidentally triggering them. But Runerigus? People who know what to do and are TRYING to evolve it still have to try multiple times.
11:40 No, sirree. THAT, my friend was the Game Boy COLOR. Released in 1998, around the same time as the original Pokemon Red and Blue. Worse still, within those 151 Pokemon, you couldn't even capture all 151 with your game alone. You had to have a friend with the other color cartridge to play in order to collect all of them, AND a cable to connect your Game-Boys so the data could transfer. I realize i'm dating myself hard here, but Damnit, I miss my old Pokemon Red.
Needing to hold the console upside down, is the same energy as Castlevania 2's Crouch Down for 10 seconds While holding the Red Gem/Orb for a Whirlwind to come and whisk you away.
5:10 My thoughts on why the pokemon games have such high numbers for money is that it is based on the Japanese Yen, which count the "cents", so 185,000 yen is something closer to 185,000 cents or $1850 rather than $185,000. In this specific case though, $1850 is still a lot for a kid to have xD
You're right. In fact, in the Japanese versions of the games, the currency is literally just yen. The pokedollar was invented to localize the currency outside of Japan without having the change the numbers.
Fun Fact: Between the 2 versions of Red & Blue, the Blue version had a bigger advantage gameplay wise. The only way you can earn money before reaching the Elite 4 or exploiting Item Duplication with Missingno is by beating trainers & selling unwanted items, both are limited, as you could not rematch trainers or gym leaders & findable items are in limited quantity. But the move Pay Day allows you to earn extra money when using it in battle. In both versions, there's a TM that teaches this to 1 of your Pokemon once you reach route 12 and have Surf (along with Koga's Soul Badge). However, in Pokemon Blue, you can catch a Meowth that can learn Pay Day naturally way earlier & if you spam it enough throughout the game, you can make tons of extra money, more so than what a Red player would normally get. In fact, the very first time I played Pokemon Blue, I literally kept Meowth in front of my party & spammed Pay Day as much as I could, even using the first 3 PP Ups to boost Pay Day's PP to max. My Meowth evolved into a Persian and became so overpowered that I plowed through all the gym leaders & Elite 4 with Persian and Pay Day (excluding Rock & Ghost types though).
3:00 Celadon City and Saffron City was mostly just buildings where over 80% of them you couldn't even enter. Oh and don't get me started on that Golden Rod City and that Normal Type Gym in 2:20
7:20 Yes, Inkay does evolve into Malamar. Also, the holding the Switch upside down bit was around even back when it was on 3DS titles. It's been that way since the start and I get where they're coming from I guess, but like... who the hell figures that out without googling or hearing it from someone else. Who goes around flipping their Switch/3DS upside down just for the hell of it?
7:20 - To be fair, it was easier to turn the 3DS upside-down to evolve Inkay back in Alola. I guess the joke is you need the _screen_ to be upside down?
Its clear alot of folks didnt visit the lil grasspatch on route 46 you could get to early game. Yall poor people missed out on early Geodude->Graveler->Golem(if you had another copy of GSC with a second console or friend) Wendy who? Also, first house of Violet, Bellsprout for an Onix from the kid, another solid tank to handle Wendy (this video made me get a GBC emulator app and Crystal Rom Currently grinding level outside Violet Falkner you are screwed)
I'd love to see a picture of Chien-Pao doing a loaf, but unfortunately I know that its sword fangs would get in the way, lol. Chien-Pao is adorable to me, though. I came up with a nickname for one, too; Meowdao.
6:49 it made more sense in X and Y because the 3DS is easier to put upside down its more weird to think how someone would find this out with out the internet
7:07... this will hurt to say for people that grew up on XY lol, thankfully I'm older than them, but yeah back in THE DAY of XY that's how you evolved Inkay too, with its introduction, had to flip your 3ds upside down. So Switch is just carrying on that tradition... to um... which... um yes it evolves into Malamar? I'm confused are you joking Noble or serious? lol
0:30 Godblessyou! x2 for some people the algorithm comment bait was inkay not evolving into malamar, but for me it's the sneeze oh he really didn't know that ketchum = catch em' that's wild, but it happens i guess
At 7:10 I dead ass thought the same thing when I played on the pokemon violet dlc XD "I was like omg!!! And I thought this whole time I just need more levels!!! My inkay is lvl. 69!! That's 39 extra lvls. I did?!?!?!?!??!" Sooo ya ;w;" I hate that's a thing in the pokemon universe

You are forgetting the 5th option of a Pokémon battle. Reset the game to try again for a shiny! Also, we have had a few decently sized cities. Castellia in Unova, mesagoza in Paldea, and Lumiose in Kalos. Honorable mentions, Mawvile in ORAS and Wyndon, I think, in Galar.

Leafeon: Potato Salad
Flareon: Baked Potato
Vaporeon: Potato Stew
Sylveon: Sweet Potato
Y'all got any?
that jolteon-Eevee is what I'd imagine a past paradox Eevee would look like
absolute peak design
3:00 Celadon City and Saffron City was mostly just buildings where over 80% of them you couldn't even enter.
Oh and don't get me started on that Golden Rod City and that Normal Type Gym in 2:20
The Inkay to Malamar evolution used to require your 3ds to be upside down to evolve it…..
I remember being told that, saying “no way” doing it anyway, and getting my Malamar.
12:30 *Blue afterwards* Ahhhh, the sweet smell of lavender from red.
12:14
Did we stutter?
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaay
@@HulktySSJ2 yes. that's the point
🗿🍷
@@HulktySSJ2In my opinion I think it shouldn’t count as gay if your mind genuinely believes if it is the opposite sex
5:08 to be clear, that's 185,000 yen which is about $1200
That still means that the seven-year-old girl has over a thousand dollars.
@@montyeggman3075 that could just mean she's a half decent Pokémon trainer
I'm amazed some people never figured out Ash's name until their adulthood 😂
Speaking of masochist door, it's been a while since we saw him in Noble's vids
7:20 - To be fair, it was easier to turn the 3DS upside-down to evolve Inkay back in Alola. I guess the joke is you need the _screen_ to be upside down?
Potato is trying to become a money type Pokémon
7:07 same in Pokemon go to evolve inkay. You have to hold your phone upside down in daytime
Wild Noble appeared.
Noble used Pokemon Memes.
It's super effective.
Audience fainted.
the Lupang Hinirang everytime he mentions the philippines makes it so much better XD
12:13 “and why would that be a problem?”
2:30 goldenrod city gym leader ptsd intensifies o________o
Its clear alot of folks didnt visit the lil grasspatch on route 46 you could get to early game.
Yall poor people missed out on early Geodude->Graveler->Golem(if you had another copy of GSC with a second console or friend)
Wendy who?
I'm confused are you joking Noble or serious? lol
0:30 Godblessyou! x2
for some people the algorithm comment bait was inkay not evolving into malamar, but for me it's the sneeze
oh he really didn't know that ketchum = catch em' that's wild, but it happens i guess
By now I just assume Nobles Eevee is carrying an Amulet Coin with it 24/7
Would explain all that moola it is bringing
At 7:10 I dead ass thought the same thing when I played on the pokemon violet dlc XD "I was like omg!!! And I thought this whole time I just need more levels!!! My inkay is lvl. 69!! That's 39 extra lvls. I did?!?!?!?!??!" Sooo ya ;w;" I hate that's a thing in the pokemon universe
"Pikachu is able to go up against all these other guys the power of friendship or something"
Noble, I don't think we're allowed to joke about that anymore. They literally made it a game mechanic. IT'S CANON, NOBLE!😮😂
