One tip or something I enjoy doing is remembering overwatch is your friend. If I can't reach an enemy to hit it in my first turn, I try to move up as far as I can while still using overwatch at the end. Because if you run all the way up to a critter and can't reach him, your just giving him the first hit in battle. Of course you have to take their ranged units into consideration as well but over all this is working pretty well for me.

Great guide for newcomers. Subbed. I LOVE this game alredy though! Played through the early acess and cant wait! The quirky but well written dialogue, the story/ worldbuilding, the territory building, the combat, the atmosphere, music AND not least alot of left handers!!! Just like me. For once if not a rare occurence we got LEFT handed folks in a ROLE playing game Shocking, right! Hah! I will focus on a Old Faith Rightful Mordred. Suits my style and Balan at my side! Also get a white/ black Mordred skin by signing up on a newsletter at the devs homepage! Lastly it will come to XB and PS too! Sure gonna get it on XB too since the performance on pc for me is.. not optimal due to old laptop and medium settings it is

With your guidance I am pretty clear about which Knights I will focus on for my A and B teams but will soon have to start making hard choices about which Knights to discard. So, with this in mind, who would you describe as being the 'worst' or least preferred of the 20? (perhaps more?) available choices?

Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the content. I haven't played with all the characters yet but off the top of my head I would always get rid of the Black Knight since his Mercenary trait lowers the gold you get for a mission by I think 20%. I also don't like using Sir Bors because he has the Lazy trait which means he won't go out for more than three missions straight.

Very cool info, what are your thoughts on the roguelite mode? Is is realistic for an average player to beat the game on that mode on their first run? or would you want to have prior knowledge of the game before giving it a shot?
I would say you probably want to have prior knowledge. WolfheartFPS tried Rougelite mode on hard and had to start over. Looking at his experience I don't think I would've fared any better my first go round.
That's what I'm doing and I'm struggling lol I'll probably hit a wall soon but I'm to stubborn to restart yet... Still fun though!
@@irvinsilva2527 you're probably going to be in for some pain heh. I ran into a couple of encounters that I had to redo a couple times because the game threw something crazy at me that wrecked one of my knights within like 2 turns of the fight starting. Definitely happy I saved the roguelite play through for my second run.
Curious tip 8 haven't seen anyone link it to xp. As do u get more exp for heros that kill the down or more killing last standing while others are down?
I haven't directly tested but I don't think it makes a difference.
hey is there a way to skip a day? most of my lads are hurt or healing ,i have no way to go through a mission, is the run bricked?
If you are a Righteous Christian there is a Decree called "Joust" that let's you forward the game by 1 mission time.
I guess this game was made by the same devs taht made King Arthur the real time strategy fantasy game right?
Cause there are some enemies taht are very similar and most importantly the Religion/Morality is exactly the same.

No professions? Gear matter? How’s end game after campaign?
Some characters have traits that lean them more towards specific Court Titles. Gear is HUGE in this game and definitely some you have to pay attention to. Unfortunately I haven't reached the end yet. I caught Covid and it has significantly slowed down my playing schedule.
How do you open the map??
Should be "M" on your key board. Check your key bindings in the settings.

@@SlanderedGaming it's not a bad game, but it fails to keep me interested after 7 or so missions. graphics seem flash like, side missions take me like 40 mins and arnt super entertaining, combat is just ok.

i would have loved to find your channel earlier, because you have made a nice effort to a really wonderfull game. Your tips mostly are good and help playing ,but some of your tips are wrong and it is important to tell why and make the difference .
1. while it is important to expand your round table , it should NOT be a priority. Priority should be the training grounds. Why ? In this game you find a lot of heroes. Once they are in your round table you cannot put them back on the bench. That means if you need a slot and u cannot buy one anymore , no matter why at the given moment, you have to kick out a hero. kicked heroes are gone for good, you can never get them back. But if they land on your bench, there they can stay forever. but if you have free slots , these will be filled first. sadly the game does not put them on the bench and lets you decide to or not to put them onto the active roster. Always expand your training grounds first. You gain nothing if you have an active hero , that has nothing to do. Having said that , you should early on decide which of your available heroes to keep. do not invest in heroes that oppose your alignment. if they are good with one and oppose the other , that will still work, but only opposing you without having a good way to gain loyalty will mostly not work very well. Also a very important tip: since you cannot see what skills you characters will have until you unlock the next tier, sometimes you will not be sure what hero to keep and which one to let go. Go to sites where you can see their entire skill trees to make an educated decision. because sometimes u might need to choose between two heroes of the same class , but u might not know if one of them has a specialty the other one doesn't have. The same accounts for character traits. always be sure to pay attention to these.
2. Build your crew on mass killing is not what you want to do. While it is true that throughout the game the amount of enemies will increase , in some missions massivly , over the course of the game the enemies that will truly matter will be massiv stand alone enemies. later in the game that will mean , that your AE-skills will kill small guys but the big guys will not really be effected.
Does that mean to not build AE at all ? No , some AE skill are well worth the effort, but u do not need more then one Character in generell to be successfull. What is much more effective is to go for AP gain. Throughout the game there are a lot of ways to regain used AP. Items , passive skills or active skills. Some combinations of heroes work especially well together. It is much more effective to kill enemies 1 after another but to regain AP for each kill for example. At the end of the way that will also kill numbers , but you can also face the big'uns later on in the game.
3. Do not give all permanent bonuses to Mordred. There will be some bonuses that in combination with some skills and items will have an incredible impact on your party performance.
Also you cannot give all the bonuses to one charackter, there is a limit , therefor you want to consider very carefully what bonuses to give to whom. As long as you are performing well ,keep theses bonuses until you have a combo where they really shine. This is important , because there is no guarantee to find items. for example if you do a 2nd playthrough , there is a good possibility to not find some of the really good items you found in the 1st campaign.
A) And here is a tip you did not mention , but is extremly important: Not only do skills affect your heros , but so does equipment. with for example 2 different set of items , you heroes might perform like 2 totally different characters even with the same skills. Therefor it is extremly important to keep certain items and item combinations for a while until you are sure you do not need them anymore. selling items to early can often result in a sad situation when you later find a combo to that item ,that would have had a marvelous impact on your performance. Only sell items when you are sure u do not need them anymore or of you are in dire need for cash for something else important.
Other then that , this was still a really good guide. Thanks for the effort, this wonderfull game deserves a good community.

how to be tyrant?
You will be given opportunities to make a morality choices between Tyrant or Righteous. Consistently choose Tyrant and your morality will lean that way over time.
