In terms of catching up, because she was a reluctant celebrity, and because she died young, although there is a large catalogue to explore, it's not "seemingly endless" like certain artists who recorded for 30-40 years. But, I know what you mean - there are the wonderful, iconic studio recordings to hear and study, and then there are all the television appearances to watch and enjoy (since she had her own show, there is a LOT of footage). A beautiful live performance. Changing the key to accommodate her vocal range loses the melancholy feel of the original. No enhancement of her voice, she is right on key. There is a place for covers and this a good example of taking a song of remiss and changing it to one of hope. Amazing artist.
Dusty came to Wellington New Zealand back in the 60's (Gerry and the Pacemakers, Gene Pitney, the Beatles for Heaven's Sake! they all came to our tin pot, silly little country! It was a Big Deal back then travelling so far.... Only 2 artists I have paid to see have let me down.....Lou Reed (too stoned on smack backstage) and Dusty! The PA crapped out, and justifiably she walked off....but with lungs like hers she really could have gone on without any mechanical assistance! I still love her! I was about 11!

I LOVE this song. On one level a simple love song, on another almost a gospel song where she's questioning her faith.
Dusty was an original,what a voice!, she can handle any song.
I can listen to her songs for hours. That voice is mesmerizing. When I finally invested in a tablet, dusty was the first person I looked up.
She reminds me so much of a dear classmate back in the late 60's, Frances.
